  1. I jsut got back from the Bahamas earlier this month (not staying at the Sandals however), but I still made my way onto the property. My g/f and I were down there for a wedding and coincidentally, two of my really good friends were staying at the Sandals the same week of the wedding (very small wedding which was taking place at the Sandals), along with everyone from the wedding party. We were staying right down the street at the Sheraton because we (as a couple) couldn't justify spending all of our money on an all-inclusive resort for a week when we wanted to experience the local restaurants and not be tied down to just eating/drinking at the resort. We eventually rendezvoued with my really good friends and asked them how the Sandals was. They said that they weren't required to wear bracelets and in order to get back into the resort, they just had to state their last name and which room they were staying in, so it was seemingly possible for anyone to get in there as long as they knew the last name and room # of a couple that was staying there. Later on that night, my g/f and I took a stab at trying to accomplish this feat and we took a cab down there, pulled up to the gate, told the guard "our last name" and "room #" and we were promptly ushered into the resort free to enjoy all the amentities that any paying guest would have been afforded. To say the least, it was well worth it. There are a couple of places to eat; the Cricketeer (an Irish Pub), a swanky French style restaurant that requires reservations; a Japanese place; a comedy club; a piano bar. There are a few more places to go but we didn't go in and I can't really remember. The place was immaculate however, pristine attention to detail to make it look like a roman/greek secret trove. Couple we're having a great time. The booze was plentiful. The views are spectacular as you have access to a private island about a half a mile away from the main resort. My friends did say there was a cockroach problem in their room and there were a lot of cockroaches on the property...we didn't see any at the Sheraton in our week of staying there. It was a great time there and there were plenty of Honeymooners enjoying themselves. If you want to see the island and not be restricted to just one location, I would suggest the Atlantis. But if you just want to enjoy each other, then the Sandals should be perfect. Good luck and have fun!
  2. What would it take to get new uniforms? I mean, they would make a lot more $$$, much like the case with the throwbacks being introduced in the first place. All new uniforms means people will have to go out and buy them and update their own personal collection. That is providing that the new unis would look better than the fabric vomit they don on the road.
  3. SEA obviously moved up to select TE Carlson before the Bills selected. I think the Bills were going to select TE in this position rather that WR.
  4. 4.24 forty. Thunder and lightning approach. They obviously don't want Vince Yound to throw the ball.
  5. IMO, the BEST case scenario because we are still in position to get the top rated WR in the draft unless the Iggles move up in front of us.
  6. I would prefer the first scenario only if we stay put and draft either Albert or Harvey and then get Cason in the 2nd. We can still get a tall playmaking WR later in the draft. One WR that I love that is comparable to James Hardy is Marcus Monk out of Arkansas. He kinda got overshadowed by the two headed monster of McFadden and Felix Jones, but he is tall (6' 6") and ran a 4.5 forty. There is a lot of value, I believe, in the CB and WR to be had in the middle rounds of this draft.
  7. If we draft WR or somewhere on the line with our 1st, I like Cason. If we draft CB with our 1st, I would like the Bills to consider Jordy Nelson or seriously consider LB (preferably Mayo if there but would def settle for Adibi).
  8. I also believe they signed TJ Duckett as well. I'm sure the Seachickens tried everything they could do to unload SA before the draft to a willing suitor, however, there has been no question around the league that he is a shell of his former MVP self. Anytime a RB has more than 400 touches in a season (as in the case of SA's MVP season) it has been widely documented that they are oft injured and not as productive as they were before that. Most teams, as a result, have adopted a RB by committee approach to help offset that.
  9. Plus Nelson is a football player period. He was used as a punt returner averaging 50yds + per return last year. He was used in all facets of the offense including receiving, running, and passing last year. He came into Kan St as a walk on and played safety as a Freshman/Sophomore. When the recieving core became depleted due to injury, he asked to be switched to WR. Sounds like a whatever it takes to make the team better kinda guy to me. I'll take a football player as opposed to a one trick pony any day of the week.
  10. I'm with you. The closer that we get to the draft the more I believe the Bills are going to draft BPA. If that happens to be Harvey, Albert, one of the DT's (if they fall), or even Rivers, it will porvide us with more depth at positions that are considered a strength, thus making it that much more of a strength.
  11. The Yankees play a charity game at Virginia Tech yesterday and the Red Sox complain that they want more money when their bosses tell them to go on a business trip. Nice contrast.
  12. Which goes back to my original point: greed has taken over the game. I can see where you're position comes from, but we're talking about men who get paid to coach and play a game that is intended to entertain enormous amounts of people. They aren't getting paid like a 9 to 5er like you. If they would stop thinking with their bank account and started thinking as if they were a fan of the game (players and MLB officials alike), situations wouldn't arise where players are boycotting a friggin spring training game and threatening not to board a plane to a foreign location where they are going to be treated like Gods.
  13. The fault of the this lies in the greed that surrounds "America's Pastime". MLB wants the game to be international, and I can see them doing this because a lot of imported Japanese talent has been infused in America recently. Robbing talent of Japan, like Matsuzaka who is scheduled to pitch over there, is a way for Japan to see its heroes once again. However, the greed and the money that inevitably affects every decision within the game has lead to this boycott. If the players cared that much about having the coaches get paid, why don't they donate their $40,000 stipend to the benefit of the coaches? I don't agree with this move. Why can't they shut up and play the game?
  14. I'm expecting some kind of Playboy shoot within the year.
  15. Isn't David Ball the WR who broke Jerry Rice's TD record? If so, I wouldn't mind him on the team at all and I know a lot of people on this board have been clamoring over him for a while.
  16. This is just insane. Having lived in and attended school in B-Burg, I am just appalled.
  17. Just got off the phone with my buddy and apparently it was over a girl. He said that his girlfriend was cheating on him with another black male and that is the first shooting that occured in the dorm.
  18. Just got off the phone with one of my buddies who lives down there and he said that police were pulling files in the admistrative offices of 4 or 5 muslim students that attended VA Tech. Could be BS, but he is updating me periodically.
  19. Don't worry, I won't "cry for you Argentina".
  20. I love her too!!! I actually got to interview her a couple of weeks ago out in Dayton, OH when they played Marist. I always thought she was cute and all my friends just thought I was crazy. She is currently not available however. Sheldon Williams, former Duke player and current Atlanta Hawk, is putting the stones to her. He was there watching her practicing and they were PDA'ing afterwards.
  21. Do we keep 4 backs on the roster, 3 and cut either Shaud or Jackson, or do we PUP list Bush?
  22. 20 year old woman in spanish: awwww, isn't he the cutest little thing.
  23. Back in Virginia Tech we had a name for girls like these: Sorostitutes.
  24. I saw that earlier adn it didn't say that the Bills were necessarily interested, but the agent stated that the Bills were interested. Huge difference.
