  1. I'll give Hardy the benefit of the doubt. If you watch the game again, on the 2nd and 1 right before Edwards fumbled the QB sneak, Hardy was open on the fade route in the endzone and Edwards missed him by throwing it over his right shoulder. If he throws it over his left shoulder at the goal line, Hardy easily had a step on his man and that is a TD.
  2. Miami is no slouch. They have won a couple of improbable games already (at NE and at home against the same Charger team we just beat). They do have the home field advantage and a lot of critics are picking them as their upset special. I can see why. I am confident the Bills will win, but I still see why someone will chose the Dofelons.
  3. A lot of intangibles need to be taken into consideration beyond the stats. Rivers won over the Chargers players last year laying with a torn ACL injury in the playoffs and nearly leading them to the Super Bowl. I voted Brees though, and like Albany, NY stated, the Chargers did the right thing WRT to Brees suffering the injury. Nobody knew how he was going to come back from that injury, plus the money that was invested in Rivers...their hand was pretty much forced.
  4. No way a team can be considered a legitimate contender giving up 257 yards rushing to a team and making Matt Cassel look like a world beater despite sacking him 5 times in the first half.
  5. The Paytoilets are extremely beatable. Cassel got sacked 5 times in the 1st half. Their best RB (Maroney) is out for the year. The leader of their defense (Harrison) could possible be out for the year as well. The only thing that would concern me would be the bubble screen passes to Welker and Moss getting open against our smallish CBs. Other than that, our offense is better and more efficient, and our defense has been assembled to beat the spread offenses in the NFL and to stop the run.
  6. I put up 120 points despite Reggie Wayne only giving me 3 points and Matt Cassel not having played yet. Thanks to Mewelde Moore, Marshawn, Dwayne Bowe, Derrick Mason, and Owen Daniels for the big week and my 6-1 start.
  7. My team: QB: Warner Cassel RB: Marshawn Thomas Jones Julius Jones Tim Hightower Michael Pittman WR: Reggie Wayne Bernard Berrian Roy Williams Dwayne Bowe Derrick Mason TE: Owen Daniels I was just offered Joseph Addai for Thomas Jones and Roy WIlliams. Is this something you guys would do if you were me? Thanks for the input!
  8. If the offer is the same between the two teams Peterson and his staff will have to try and prognosticate which team will yield the better draft pick based on their record for over the final 11 games. It comes down to value and optimizing what offers Tony G can net them. The Chiefs will also try and prognosticate draft position and what college talent will be available at these offered positions along with possible FA over not only this year, but next year as well.
  9. Tony G obviously wants a chance to win now and he is trying to force the Giants hand by declaring that he wants to play for the G-Men, but why would the G-Men want Tony G after they traded an all pro TE in Shockey for a 2nd and a 5th only to trade those same picks for an older TE? That doesn't make sense to me. I don't think Tony G wants to play for the Bills. Its nothing against the team, I just think he's not looking to maximize his talents, because the TEs are not a focal point in the Giants offense due to their depth at WR and their stellar running game. I think Tony G wants to play in the largest market in the US, upping his profile even more. NO WAY Tony G comes to Buffalo.
  10. Just read on the ESPN news ticker that Kitna will be put on IR if they cant trade him. In other words, no.
  11. I got no help from Roy Williams and Julius Jones. However, thanks to Reggie Wayne, THomas Jones, and Bernard Berrian, I was high scorer this week and am now 5-1 in my 12 man money league.
  12. Absolutely! I just saw one the other night when one of the guys fathers is getting out of prison and they believe that he is going to come and kill them upon his release, so they decide to fake their deaths. Hilarity ensues. Good times and it makes it better that I now reside in the city of Brotherly Shove and I can recognize a lot of the places they film.
  13. I think a lot of it has to do with the line and Lynch's vision. Sometimes there may be a cutback lane and he may not see it, but once he does get into the open field, he is pretty elusive. I don't know if you knew this or not, but he leads the NFL with more carries of 10 + yards. He also would have gone over 100 yards in the ST Louis game, but had 50 yards called back due to penalties. I think it is only a matter of time before we see Lynch break out in a BIG way and I think by seasons end, he'll have 1,300-1,400 yards rushing along with 12 TDs and 50-60 receptions for another 400 yards and another TD.
  14. Any receiver that sounds like Jay-Z and runs like the wind is definitely worth $9 million to me...perhaps more.
  15. Dick is too soft? Big problem
  16. Here ya go
  17. Check at when the article was last updated.
  18. I was there....def a good time even though I left after half time cause the Bills were losing. I would go back for sure.
  19. I had a couple of guys perform below standards including Marshawn and Thomas Jones. Funny thing is that I have a .23 point lead with Derrick Mason going tonight against Hines Ward. I don't like my chances on paper, however, Hines Ward has notoriously not been effective against the Ravens. Chris McAllister has his number. Should be pretty exciting.
  20. My squad: QBs: Kurt Warner Derrick Anderson RBs: Marshawn Thomas Jones Julius Jones Jerious Norwood WRs: Reggie Wayne Dwayne Bowe Roy Williams Derrick Mason Bernard Berrian TEs: Vernon Davis Owen Daniels He offered me Adrian Peterson and Marques Colston for: Marshawn Reggie Wayne Julius Jones That is too much to give up, but I am looking at some kind of counter offer because I want to strengthen my WR corps and was going to see what kinda of deal I should come back at him with. He is really weak at WR so I was thinking about selling high on Julius Jones along with Reggie Wayne and either Roy Williams, Derrick Mason, or Berian for Peterson and Colston. Is that legitimate?
  21. I won this week, but no thanks to Vernon Davis. Seriously, WTF is up with this guy?
  22. 3 completions last game of 30 yards or more. The proof is in the pudding.
  23. Note: The videos I linked all go to a Marshawn on Marshawn video, however, the plays that I critique are in the Marshawn Lynch gallery list below. Last week was great. We were able to run the ball successfully on a number of occasions and then there were times that we didn't look like the bruising kinda O-Line that this offense was built around to succeed. It seemed like a lot of the time there wasn't enough "space" for Marshawn to find a hole and he often just slammed into the back of the line (ie the first series of the game when we had a 3rd and 1 and we lost a yard). Throughout the game, I noticed that we seemed to be more successful when running out of a 3 or 4 WR set with no FB and Royal was a HUGE reason why were able to run successfully. Case in point this video right here: 1st video Notice how the play is designed to go left, but thanks to the impressive block to the inside that Royal provides, the cutback is made available and Marshawn is able to take advantage of it. In Marshawn's TD run, Royal is lined up as a FB to the left of Edwards and Marshawn to the right along with 3 WRs. Royal blocks the blitzing LOLB and the RG Butler was able to get to block his initial counterpart and then spring into the second level sealing off a nice little hole for Lynch. Marshawn's TD run The last video scares me. We were backed up on our own goaline with a 1 WR, 2 TE, and a FB set. The play was designed to go over RG but Barnes and Butler both got completely blown up resulting in Marshawn having to cut back left. Robert Royal's block sealed the outside for him allowing Lynch to get 18 yards on what seemed to be a broken play. On top of that, Walker didn't even get off the line until AFTER the ball was snapped, pretty much staying in the crouched position for a half a second as the play was run which makes the gain even more impressive. Marshawn's goaline run I think we can be successful running the ball against JAX, however it needs to be out of a spread type offense. I know that Schonert was mixing things up a lot and giving the defense a lot of different looks, however, I think that Edwards needs to be successful first in completing passes to the WRs in this formation in order to loosen up the D and give Marshawn some more holes. Kudos to Royal and Evans for playing a heck of game and being integral to our success on the ground. Let me know what you guys think.
  24. Pick 2 out of the 3: Marshawn @ JAX Thomas Jones vs NE Julius Jones vs SAN FRAN I think the Bills game is going to be a defensive game with Marshawn not being able to roam freely. TJ against NE--I mean, he had a good game against MIA, but will he return to last years form against the Pats? And Julius is getting the start and all the carries against the 49ers, but he has NO supporting cast. A lot of pundits think that he will be the only horse in the ranch and he may be worth the start. WHat do you guys think?
  25. Before the first game, I picked up Warner on the WW and put him into the starting lineup after I drafted Derek Anderson in the 8th round and I still started Warner and I am going to do it again this week. He has too many weapons, is playing at home against on of the shiitiest teams in the league. However, Cutler could be the beneficiary of getting into a shootout and the Broncos running game didn't help them win the game on Mon. I would probably go with CUtler.
