  1. Best OT in the draft IMO
  2. Ralph: Anyone seen my geritol?
  3. I like the draft. I'm pretty high on Michael Johnson as well. I just don't think we'll take two TEs in the first 4 rounds with so much disarray on the lines and front seven.
  4. That would be huge if the Bills expect an impact player like an Orakpo, Andre Smith, Crabtree, or Maclin falling into their laps. If this happens, trade down opportunities will be made available and possibly putting us in better position to select Pettigrew a couple of picks later.
  5. The guy was dressed up like an EFFING WIZARD. Obviously drugs had something to do with this. Having been under the influence of all sorts of festival goodies myself, I can see this guy feeling 10 feet tall and bulletproof. This may have had something to do with the ineffectiveness of it all. AFAIC, he got what he deserved.
  6. I haven't but I hear a lot about them. My girlfriend works as a marketing manager for a pharmaceutical company that develops a drug that curbs the affect of drowsiness that is related with sleep apnea. The drug is targeted to those who are diagnosed with sleep apnea after a sleep study is conducted.
  7. He does specialize in the SEC. Nix is originally from Alabama.
  8. I'm really happy that someone finally brought up Buddy Nix. I was reading on his Wikipedia page that many people around the NFL feel that Nix is a "top 5 talent evaluator in the NFL". I think he will make a huge difference in the Bills draft. People worry about the LT hole vacated by Peters. Nix was extremely vocal in CHargers drafting of LT Marcus McNeil in the 2nd round of the 2006 draft. Article with Nix talking about McNeil
  9. Tell you the truth, I think that Brandon has done a better job here then many seem to think. First, he brought in Mitchell, traded for Stroud, Spencer Johnson, TO, drafted McKelvin, signed Evans to an extension, admitted that the Dockery signing was a HUGE mistake made by the Marv regime, and traded an undrafted underachieving LT for 3 draft picks.
  10. That is great rational. Maybe, however, could it be possible that there is an OT that may be there with the 11th pick that the Bills FO grade out higher than Peters? With that said, I think the Bills select Pettigrew with their first pick and Alex Mack with the #28. They will get the #1 player at their respective positions in the draft, plus help sure up the line a little bit.
  11. I think the Bills draft Andre Smith at #11 if he is there.
  12. Great post. Well thought out, and I agree that if we were able to get to around the #20 pick in the draft, we'd be able to get Pettigrew at a position with really good value. That is why the trade for Peters, which only netted us the #28 pick in the 1st instead of the #21, will loom large, IMHO. I disagree that the Bills will not pursue the possibility of filling the void on the left side of the line vacated by the Peters trade, and feel that they made the decision based on the talent of OT available in this draft. I, personally, really think that the best OT in this class is Andre Smith, despite his odd behavior at the combine. If he is there, I think you have to take him at #11. Another possibility that needs to be discussed is the fact that the Bills may use some of their draft picks to fill holes via trade (ie Scheffler).
  13. I concur 100%. I'm sure the Bills would have signed him long term as well if there was that commitment from Peters. Look how they handled Schobel, McGee, Evans, and Stroud.
  14. Remember when Dante "The X-Factor" Hall was arguably the best return man in the league for the Chiefs a few years back? He was traded to the Rams for a 5th round pick. I would say that Roscoe's skills compare to that of Hall's. He was a OK slot receiver with amazing return skills, but his play declined tremendously after the trade. I would have to say that Roscoe is a luxury. He is exciting when he gets his hand's on the ball, however if you take into account what our WR corps looks like this year, will he even have a chance to sniff the field other than on punt returns? Get what you can for him, then, like other posters have mentioned, package that pick with another to either trade for a veteran (Scheffler, Henderson, Waters) or package it to trade up in the draft to select someone that they want to target.
  15. It was just reported on ESPN that the Ravens have inquired about trading for his services by possibly giving up their 1st and 3rd rounders.
  16. Chad Campbell.....en fuego.
  17. I like the names that you through out there and for the record, I placed my vote on the field as well. Specifically, I think it will be an international like Justin Rose or Lee Westwood.
  18. My sig is all TSW needs to know.
  19. If that were to happen, I'd rather take the best available OT with the 11th pick then take a DE, like Michael Johnson or Robert Ayers with the #21 pick.
  20. I agree. This would be the most ideal scenario. Hopefully we would be able to get Philadelphia's earlier pick at #21, but if they include a 3rd as well, we would probably receive their 2nd pick in the 1st round at #28. Our draft could look something like this: #11: T, Andre Smith, ALA #28: DE, either Michael Johnson or Robert Ayers #42: OLB, Clint Simtin, UVA #75: OG, Herman Johnson, LSU #85 (from Philadelphia): Trade it to the Broncos for TE, Tony Scheffler We would get our replacement for Peters who would be a rookie, but based on Peters performance last year, Smith could equal Peters performance or better it. We would get our pass catching TE. Some depth at LB. Dockery's replacement at LG. And help at DE.
  21. I was just talking to my buddy whose brother runs the Manayunk Bills Backer club and he said that the gathering at Public House is no more and the girl that runs the Public House Backers was trying to set up a convenient location for not only the Public House people, but also the people in Manayunk. Places like the Urban Saloon in Fairmount have been discussed. I'll keep you posted as details are made available.
  22. The answer is simple. The Canadian Gov't is behind this.
  23. Sadly, no April Fool's joke for DS here. Hope he learns his lesson and others learn from this as well.
  24. If Peters was smart and showed the organization that he really wanted to continue to play for the Bills, he would take a page out of the Lee Evans book on how to get extended by the team that you currently play for at a rate that far exceeds your value. This could be accomplished by showing up to the team's off-season workouts and reporting to mini-camp. The Bills do have Peters' by the balls though. He does have two years remaining on his contract and if he doesn't report, he will continue to be fined $600,000 + which coincides with his value decreasing if he were to hit the open market 2 years from now.
