  1. Talent prognosticators were saying that Quinn, who is a workout warrior, became too muscular and brolic to play the QB position. Scouts and personnel like their QBs to be built like Tom Brady. This was one of the reason he fell in the draft.
  2. Per Schefter, TO is not on the trading block.
  3. FWI, they're linked to the same thing.
  4. I'd start Cotchery. WRs on new teams that have been traded in the middle of a season rarely have success (ie Chris Chambers in SD). I think it will take Edwards a couple of games before he can begin to make an impact for the Jets. They may use him as more of a decoy and if he catches 1 or 2 passes that would be considered a success.
  5. This. ND's game this week against USC will give draft prognosticators a lot to chew on. If Clausen plays well this week, his quiet ascension to the top of draft boards will be more justified and he may consider foregoing his senior year to capitalize on the $$$ a top 5-10 draft pick will command. Another thing to consider is if the Bills decide to blow the whole thing up, FO and coaching staff, and we bring in a new regime that has a top 5 pick to build a franchise around, it'll be interesting to see if they take the Bill Parcells route and draft a LT, or if they go QB. I hope they go QB. First year coaches Mike Smith and John Harbaugh drafted their guy and tailored them to their system and they have been successful in doing so. Hopefully, whoever is HC, they can get a guy, either a rookie or a veteran, that can play well in the system.
  6. If I was her, once I heard that you were a Bills fan, I probably would've gotten up and left you. Alone. Maybe slapped you first before doing so. Being a Bills fan is not an endearing quality one looks for in a significant other. It's actually considered a flaw. A fatal one.
  7. You guys seem to forget that when Tony Dungy stepped down as HC of the Colts, he effectively retired from the NFL. I just don't see him returning to the NFL considering what happened to his son a few years back, which is something that Dungy says could've been prevented had he not been putting in so many hours as an NFL HC.
  8. Then we can have Edwards throwing to Edwards.
  9. IIRC, you have a history of correctly calling winners in the MLB postseason.
  10. Was that a picture of Adam Sandler in her dorm room?
  11. I think I just threw up in my mouth a little bit.
  12. ALDS Yanks over Twins in 3 Angels over Sox in 5 NLDS Phillies over Rockies in 4 Cardinals over Dodgers in 5 ALCS Yanks over Angels in 7 NLCS Cardinals over Phillies in 6 World Series Yanks over Cardinals in 7 Nothing better than a game 7 in sports.
  13. Perhaps Leyland was looking ahead to a possible series with the Yankees and needed other guys in the pen to stay fresh in case they needed them for the following night?
  14. I think that Braylon Edwards is a talent, but he is an enormous diva and seems he'd rather bask in the limelight of NYC, than be serious about a football career.
  15. Agree on all counts. As a baseball fan, let's hope this game is a precursor to an exciting postseason. The last few Word Series' haven't really been worth a damn. Another thing: The Twins are a very good example of how a small market team can be successful. They have developed a lot of great talent, but have traded pretty much all of those great players away, only to restock their farm system with players that have a lot of potential. With all the turnover within that organization, the one thing that stays the same is the coach, Ron Gardenhire, who has to be considered one of the top 5 managers in the game.
  16. One of the greatest games (in any sport) I've ever seen as well. The Tigers did get kind of a raw deal though. Inge had his uniform get grazed by a pitch in the top of the 12th with the bases loaded. That should've given them the lead, and still keep the bases loaded with only 1 out.
  17. Gruden seemed a little tight at first, but he has since loosened up and has added some great football dialogue to perfectly compliment Jaws' color commentating and Tirico's play-by-play. After watching last night, I was really impressed with the MNF broadcast.
  18. Don't forget that a lot of Rogers' passing yardage came after the catch. But the majority of those catches that reulted in hefty amounts of YAC were to the middle of the field.
  19. Heard some of the songs this past weekend and I wasn't much of a fan of the CD. My favorite PJ album is one that most say is their worst: Vitalogy.
  20. This team obviously thinks with thier wallets, and not with their football acumen. I wouldn't be surprised if they drafted someone like Tebow to do just that.
  21. Sometimes you have to take a step backward in order to move forward.
