Brian Schottenheimer and Marty Schottenheimer are to Oreos as Jim Mora Jr and Jim Mora Sr are to Hydrox.

Godspeed, Sliver Mt. Zion, and Arcade Fire are three of my favorite bands of all time and the whole Constellation Records label is full over forward minded indie bands. I know their music isn't for everybody, but I find it inspirational to make music myself and to pursue bands with similar sounds. Vic Chesnutt, who joined the label in 2007 after spending 17 years in Athens, Ga, committed suicide on x-mas eve. I highly suggest his album North Star Deserter. One of the better "offshoot" bands featuring members of Broken Social Scene is Metric. I saw them play a set here in Philly with just the lead singer and the lead guitarist in a lounge, candlelit setting and it was jaw dropping. Plus Emily Haines is super hot for an indie chick.

Conan is definitely getting effed in the a over this. NBC is totally bending over to accomodate Leno, even though Conan signed the contract 6 years ago to take over for Leno because of his retirement. I heard Conan was in talks with Fox to do something over there if he can find a way out of his contract with NBC.

No SpiderMan 4 -- rebooting the franchise already

I was thinking the same thing. I don't consider myself a fan of the comic book hero movies, but "The Dark Knight" was pretty special. -
Rolando McClain Press Conference

I agree Bill. I think he goes top 5 as well. -
Kolb will sign the extension and, IMHO, the only QB on that roster to get traded this offseason will be Mike Vick.

Bills seek permission to talk to Schotty Jr.
Phlegm Alley replied to BillnutinHouston's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
While it is not my 1st choice, I think he could be a solid HC. Like you said, with Schotty Jr on board, Schotty Sr would be involved, either directly or indirectly and considering Nix and Schotty Sr's relationship, I think it may be the next best thing to actually having Marty. He has had the history of developing quality young QBs and, with Sanchez this year, he has put the Jets in position to be successful. A lot of this is attributed to the quality offensive line they have built, which has directly impacted the running game in a positive way. A good offense predicated on running the ball is how I believe a successful Buffalo Bills team should be built, IMHO. I just hope they can catch lightning in a bottle and hit on one of these "up-and-coming" coordinators, because it is becoming pretty obvious that Cowher isn't coming here. -
Add the fact that Cowher wouldn't have to face Bellicheat twice a year and could have an easier time turning that team around more quickly in that garbage division. There has to be someone lined up as a successor for Allen to do this for the same reasons Glazer has cited.

Select the #9 overall pick in the draft!

After reading Crayonz post, I think he's right and Suh could be ripe for the picking when we select at #9. -
[Link] Are Cowher, Bills In Contract Negotiations?
Phlegm Alley replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's in Cowher's best interest to explore as many opportunities as possible. Just because he's waiting to see what happens doesn't necessarily indicate he doesn't want to coach for the Bills. I think Cowher is going to be coaching next year. With the current state of the CBA and the potential for a league lock out next year along with Cowher not having coached in the last few years, this year is the best possibility of him getting back into the league before its too late. -
Congrats Pooj. I live 15 minutes east of the KOP in the Philly neighborhood known as Manayunk , which is a great town with a ton of great bars. It is easily accessible to both the KOP and Philadelphia. I would highly suggest the area. Another area I would suggest is Chestnut Hill. Great main street with lots of shops, bars and if you like doing things outdoors, the Wissahickon Trail. Another up and coming area that is closer to the KOP is Conshohocken. You've inquired in the past and I would like to reassert again...if you have any other questions about the area, PM me.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Cowher wait to see what happens with the Cowboys this weekend. If the Cowboys lose, there is a good chance that Wade Phillips is out of a job and Cowher will have a potential landing place with a team that will have more than enough money to satisfy his contractual demands as well as enough money to throw at potential Free Agents. They are also in a position to win sooner than the Bills. I will expect that we'll find out if Cowher will be coaching the Bills early next week. -
And they procreate, perpetuating the never ending cycle.

If you remember Nix's press conference, he specifically mentioned that this team is going to be built through the draft and not through FA, so yes, this would be a HUGE sticking point for Cowher. -
Anyone got tonight's Syracuse hoops score?

If you like Knight calling basketball games, you should here him doing golf*. *-NSFW (language) -
My go to beer is the Dogfish Head 60 minute IPA. A relatively obscure beer that I enjoy is brewed just outside of Philly is the Slyfox Saison VOS. It scored very well to those who reviewed it for Beeradvocate.com.

Link Lange may be detested by some, but I have always enjoyed his comedy.

Bills future Plays Tonight
Phlegm Alley replied to CarolinaBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He could be one of those guys that with a solid Senior Bowl/combine/pro day could watch his draft stock rise. As Astrobot indicated, the recent Draftek results had Lefevour being selected with the 1st pick of the 5th round. I could see him improving his draft stock to a 2nd or 3rd round pick. -
McClain. He is one going to be one of the best LBs in the NFL within a couple of years.

I too use the hardware keyboard. It took some time getting use to, but I now have it down pat. My g/f has the Touch Pro2 and I was watching here operate it the other day, and it is far inferior to my Droid. In terms of speed, ease of use and functionality, the Droid is phenomenal. The only thing other than the keyboard that I like better on the Touch Pro 2 is the camera. You have more options available to you with the Droids camera, but the quality of picture is poor, IMHO. I bolded the apps that I use from your list. Other ones I would suggest would be: - Layar - augmented reality browser which uses your camera and GPS location to search the internet for things - Mototorch LED - awesome flashlight app that utilizes the LED flash for a pretty powerful flashlight - DxTop - home replacement that I find better than open home - Where - uses your GPS location to find restaurants, cheap gas prices, and twitter feeds to update traffic - FxCamera - allows you to take different kinds of shots with your camera (ie polaroids, toy camera) - Beautiful Widgets - widgets for weather, clock, SMS, and calendar that are better than the stock widgets - Dock runner - when in use, it tricks the phone into thinking its docked on the $30 dock, so it essentially saves you $30 - Talk to me - uses the voice function to translate english to french, spanish, german, and vice versa - Nav Launcher - is how the stock google maps turn-by-turn navigation should have been made. It allows you to program favorites, saves your Maps search history, and also uses your addresses programmed into your contacts to help you navigate to their location.

I don't think it was DJ because DJ knew he had to make the playoffs this year in order to keep his job, so why would he take a player who wasn't going to start or contribute much in his first year?

I think TO showed he was a class act this year. I think back to him helping Eric Wood get on the cart after he broke his leg earlier this year as a prime example.
