  1. I hate to keep referencing it but, Nevergiveup mentioned that if one of the top 2 OTs fell to them at #9, they would have selected them there. If not, Spiller was going to be the selection. If signing Adams aids in the development of a future LT that is on the team, I am all for it.
  2. With Nixley mentioning that he would like bigger receivers and the fact that they will be running more of a spread style offense, I wouldn't be surprised if we keep 6 WRs and Naaman makes the team and Parrish gets cut. Evans Hardy Johnson Easley Jackson Roosevelt
  3. You mean when he started to cry after his name got called?
  4. I agree that it's awesome that he was at the Sabres playoff game. I was reading an article about the 3rd overall pick, Gerald McCoy, and Tampa had erected a billboard welcoming him to the Bucs. He was then photographed at the Oklahoma City Thunder playoff game against the Lakers in OKC.
  5. Any word on if LT Tony Washington has signed anywhere? I see it being discussed in the shout box, but I can't find any confirmation on the internet.
  6. In a previous post about our current weaknesses, I think the biggest weakness this team currently has is lack of depth at the NT position. Henderson, although having played in the 4-3 alignment in Jacksonville, does have the size to come in and play the nose in the 3-4. I could foresee the Bills pursuing Henderson, but for some reason, I have a nagging feeling they would not be the ones to sign him.
  7. FYI, those are the 2009 UFA signings.
  8. I thin we have 3 glaring weaknesses: Lack of depth and experience at the NT position A true blocking TE that can help the run game Leadership at the QB position Other than Troup, who is going to be a rookie NT, who else on this roster is a true NT? As much as I love Kyle Williams, I see him potentially playing the 5 technique as a DE and the nose on passing situations, but I don't see him being a true NT on 1st and 2nd downs. Offensive line is going to be interesting to see how well they develop, and I think we have guys with an awful lot of upside that could surprise a lot of people at the tackle positions. They would ideally get some help from the TEs and unless Schouman, Fine, or Nelson develop into willing, pissed off blockers, I don't currently see a blocking TE on the team. And obviously, QB is going to be interesting this year. Our offense last year was plagued by the fact that we fired our OC and cut our starting LT a week before the season opener. I still think TE can be salvaged and we have a couple of unknown quantities in Brohm and Brown.
  9. Isn't Roosevelt a WR?
  10. I don't think the selection of Spiller was made with the thought that it would sell tickets. If you remember Nevergiveup's posting about who the Bills would likely draft, he said that if the top two OTs fell to us, they would have, more than likely, taken one of them. People who think that the Spiller pick doesn't fill a need on this team, need to think about how many playmakers this team had to begin with before the draft. He is also one of the only guys that was available that could come in and contribute on Day 1. He makes this team better and I think the fact that it will put people in the seats is just an added value.
  11. Its about value. Nix and co feel as though Lynch has more value on gameday, even with all of his off field baggage, than he does netting us a 4th rounder who is a complete unknown.
  12. At least he can play in the snow!
  13. Anybody who thought that WR wasn't a position of need is out of their mind. Remember, he played at UCONN and that team had to deal with the murder of a teammate this year.
  14. Dude, they selected Gronkowski in round 2 already. How many TEs can you have on the field at the same time?
  15. The Bills have so many holes and there are only so many quality players they can find in 7 rounds. I think QB gets filled next year as well.
  16. Classic. Gay softball. Nice Touch. Billsfreak obviously needs to take a nap.
  17. Kiper did make a great point about Weis not being the person in charge of making the choice on who to draft.
  18. I would take 88 receptions and 1300 yards from scrimmage as a rookie any day of the week. Spiller is more complete than that IMHO though. He is faster (Spiller ran a 4.27 40 while Reggie ran a 4.41 40), and I think that SPiller will be able to run between the tackles a little more effectively.
  19. Didn't Schefter get the Eagles going after Earl Thomas wrong after they traded up earlier?
  20. Patriots trade pick to the Broncos.
  21. Andrews without question.
  22. Aaron Rodgers fell as well. Not saying they all pan out, but some because of a lack of need.
