Jersey City / Hoboken Bills Backers
Phlegm Alley replied to Captain Caveman's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I used to live in Hoboken and there was a pretty good crowd of Bills fans at the Dubliner on River street. -
Bills tried to sign Sicko

Amazing this guy grew up 5 minutes from where I grew up. Never heard of him until now. -
Flugtag tomorrow in the Philly area...
Phlegm Alley replied to The Poojer's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I was there yesterday with 4 other people. We were on the Camden side and took a cab over the BF Bridge. It was a pretty big shiiteshow. The first couple were fun, but then it became pretty redundant and every competitor seemed to do the same exact thing, which was just push a manmade object into the Delaware River. The Red Bull Soap Box Race they had in Manayunk 2 years ago was way better. Even though it was pouring, the innovation factor was better, and the possibility to see someone do some real damage to themselves was higher. We had fun though. Met some really cool people and you couldn't ask for a better day weather wise. If they do it again next year, I'm viewing it from the Ben Franklin Bridge. Seems to be the most optimal place to see it. -
I used to own a used 1988 Jeep Wrangler and they are fun vehicles. I bought it in Virginia and after owning it for a little more than a month, I was driving back to NY for the holidays when the transmission blew. It took them a couple of months to find a replacement, but after it was replaced (the dealership where I bought it covered a portion of the cost) it ran fine. Only minor fix-ups for the next 3 years when I threw a rod in it in Verona NY. It was one of the saddest days of my life. If I wasn't in outside sales, I would buy a Wrangler today. Great in the snow here in the northeast and perfect in the summertime when at the beach. Plus the ability to customize it with accessories is loads of fun. I'm no gearhead, but I was able to replace everything from a gas tank to a new odometer cable by myself after buying a DIY guide.

Hardy practiced & might play against Cincy
Phlegm Alley replied to Skoobydum's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think Hardy makes the team because Nix has said that while in San Diego, they drafted bigger wide receivers so they had a physical advantage over teams like Indianapolis who had cornerbacks that were smaller. I wouldn't be surprised if he is looking to build a similar team here in Buffalo. -
Why not build it on the edge of the falls???
Phlegm Alley replied to Merle Haggard's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Parking may be a bit of a snafu and I believe something like this would not sit well with environmentalists. -
My source was right. My source called me this morning to tell me that they were doing the operation on him and, as I eluded to in my post, it sounded really painful, not going into details because of the sensitivity to the injury, but he said that he was going to be out at least 6 weeks.

Byrd has a physical complicaton
Phlegm Alley replied to saundena's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was hoping the same, but from what my source told me, it sounds pretty painful. He is in Hahnemann Hospital here in Philly, which is one of 3 sports hernia specialist locations in the country and he was apparently about to go under the knife. -

Just got some information about Jarius and it doesn't sound too good. Apparently he is having complications from the sports hernia surgery from last year and he is getting surgery today here in Philadelphia to repair it. Unfortunately, from my source, he will likely miss up to 6 weeks. Sorry, I don't have a link, just going on my sources info. -
His size and throwing motion reminds me a lot of Tom Brady. He is long and lanky, and has a great arm. He has looked good at times against SEC competition, and I think it is a good thing that he returned for another year.

The best thing that McDonald's could do, would be to turn this video into a commercial for chicken McNuggets.

Have they made any significant changes to Franchise mode? I got it last year and the franchise still kinda sucked. The drafts were a little better, but I think that is the best part of the game. I don't play online either.

My girlfriend used to work as a project manager for a pharmacuetical company that develped a drug for those who suffered from the same thing that you do. While it doesn't "cure" sleep apnea, it really mitigates some of the affects it has on you throughout the day. The drug is calle Nuvigil and here is the website: Nuvigil

I'd have to think that not all fault lies with Spiller. This is the 2nd year in a row the FO has failed to get their 1st round draft pick in camp on time. Completely unacceptable IMHO considering they haven't shown they can be a good football team. Set a precedent and get the guys in on time and take care of their draft picks. After all, this is how they want to build the team rather than going the route of FA, right?

Am I the only one who thought that DiCaprio was the one that got Incepted?

Bill cowher's wife pass away at 54
Phlegm Alley replied to clearwater cadet's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Terrible news. Bill Cowher is not a dirt bag. RIP Kaye Cowher. My prayers go out to Bill and his three daughters. -
I really want to see this movie. Reminds me (mind you this is all based on the trailer) of the Matrix.

What makes a "first class" organization?
Phlegm Alley replied to SpecialK15's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes. Parking lot attendants. -
What makes a "first class" organization?
Phlegm Alley replied to SpecialK15's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The constant promotion of winning up and down the entire organization from the GM to the players to the ball boys and the parking lot attendants. I think about the Yankees and the environment they promote (and its something every player in baseball knows) has everything to do about winning. Its all about mentality. -
If LeBron James doesn't re-sign with Cleveland...
Phlegm Alley replied to Buftex's topic in Off the Wall Archives
This particular sports marketing firm based its number on a few different variables and the outcome was that Lebron would earn at least $1Billion and at most $2Billion, if he came to play for the Knicks. I'm sure if Lebron played with the Knicks, more games would be televised. Link to Forbes articles on Lebron and if he came to play for NY. -

Phlegm Alley replied to Buftex's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Someone who has an ego the size of Lebron's will go to the place that possesses the most ego-maniacs: New York. I read an article that talked about NY Knicks executives pitching Lebron on the amount of money he could make playing in NYC and the number was $1Billion. I'm sure Lebron, who had stated that he wanted to be the first billionaire athlete, will have that number weigh heavily on his decision. -
Watching Phish play on New Years in the Everglades for the Millennium. They went on stage at 11pm and proceeded to play for 9 hours straight. They had porto-poddies on stage and played everything from Clapton to Ella Fitzgerald to Pink Floyd. It was quite an amazing show and I am not that much of a Phish-head, but wanted to check out how they would ring in the new year.

I bank at TD Bank and I couldn't be happier. They are open 7 days a week and open until 8pm Monday-Friday, 7pm on Sat, and 5pm on Sunday. The hours a bank keeps is the most important reason why I bank there.
