I wonder if Nix and co. have been to Little Rock yet to scout Mallett.

Google maps fun...but hurry before they shut it down
Phlegm Alley replied to The Poojer's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Here is an awesome sight with some pretty interesting Google Streetview images that I discovered today: 9 Eyes -
Definitely pretty funny. Also, I think I noticed some kind of piercing on Stevie's cheek.

I like them better than what we have now, but I am not a fan of the undershirt.

Yes. But I am a little hesitant without a full body shot.

When he listens to this song, does he honestly think it sounds good?

Surprised Pat Devlin isn't on the list.

Thanks for the feedback! Good, bad or indifferent, I am sitting at 4-4, having lost 4 straight and desperately in need of some W's. I needed to make something happen.

I just made this trade earlier tonight. My squad: QB: Rodgers RB: Bradshaw; Run-DMC; Charles; Lynch; Blount WR: Austin; Desean Jackson; Steve Johnson; Santana Moss; Mike Williams (SEA) TE: Hernandez; Marcedes Lewis D/ST: NE We start QB, 2 RB, RB/WR Flex, 2 WR, TE/WR Flex, D/ST, K. It is standard scoring league except QBs get 6 points for a TD and there is only 1 point awarded for every 5 receptions. I sent: Bradshaw Steve Johnson Hernandez NE D/ST Marshawn Lynch I receive: Steven Jackson Pierre Garcon Pierre Thomas Jason Witten PIT D/ST He had RB issues this week and wouldn't of had enough to field a starting lineup. Last week I traded Rashard Mendenhall for Desean Jackson. I may have sold low on RM, but I had too many high quality RBs and I desperately needed additional depth at WR.

Bears Fans are pretty pessimistic too
Phlegm Alley replied to Van_phelaN1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
While I think the Bears have some protection scheme issues themselves, they are coming off a bye week, which will undoubtedly have them more prepared to face the Bills. If the Bills can stop the run, they will have the chance to pin their ears back against Cutler. -
I have been thinking that the Toronto series hasn't been as successful as they originally planned and, with 2 former Pro Bowl players sitting on the waiver wire the week before the game, it might be an oportune time to acquire one, or both of them in a last ditch attempt to put some people in the seats.

Lets dig up information on Shawne Merriman
Phlegm Alley replied to Another Point of View's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
While perusing the Chargers message board, I didn't find too much info on Merriman, but I did find something else of greater value: Charger Girls Halloween costumes! Coincidentally, this also happens to be my 2000th post. I feel like I have made the most of it. -
Can a team put in two different claims for two different players in the same week?

The worst punishment for a player of Randy Moss's caliber would be for him to come to Buffalo. I bet he would never act like a jag-off again.

Fitz is a serviceable QB on a bad team
Phlegm Alley replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree that Fitzy is a serviceable QB, but I would believe that they have to see what Brohm has. They already know what Fitzy brings to the table. Maybe Brohm can do something similar given Chan's system. I would guess Brohm would get the opportunity to play the last few games. -
Was reading MMQB and Peter King delved into the situation a little bit. He said that in the first 8 games of this year as a Redskin, McNabb has only produced 3 points in 4 drives when they had the ball with 2 minutes left in the 4th quarter. Those 3 points forced OT, but the other drives ended in an INT, 2 times unable to get a 1st down. I think this would mean that McNabb isn't that desirable of a QB, seeing as how he is the 25th ranked QB in the league and that he is probably not going to sign with the Redskins following this.

You've got to see this
Phlegm Alley replied to SageAgainstTheMachine's topic in Off the Wall Archives
My buddy played this for me the other day and it was a version that repeated it 3 times with the last in slow motion...hilarious. I wonder who posted this video to the internet. Was it a parent or maybe an older sibling? -
How is the Trick or Treating in your area?
Phlegm Alley replied to Just Jack's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Here in residential Philly, we had 1 family show up. Kind of pathetic. I was talking to other people in the area and they said that it was surprisingly slow. I overheard one kid complaining to his mother that he was bored and he didn't want to be dressed up anymore. Maybe this sentiment is prevalent amongst the youth nowadays. I also talked to my parents back in Saratoga, NY and the neighborhood that I grew up in is an ideal, fertile trick-or-treating neighborhood, and they said they only had 20 or so kids stop by, which amazed me. -
I have to agree with you here. While he does have a lot of the physical tools to potentially be a franchise QB at the NFL level, I think he would benefit tremendously from staying in school an additional year.

Never bench your studs. The Steelers are stout against the run and the Saints don't have much of a running game right now.

My first prediction in 20 years
Phlegm Alley replied to DIE HARD 1967's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have faith that this will be the week the Bills get off the shneid. While the Chiefs have improved, I don't think they are all that good. They do have some solid playmakers on their team and their running back tandem of Jamaal Charles and Thomas Jones is pretty solid and the Chiefs are averaging more than 5 yards per carry as a team. That is the one thing that scares me. If the Bills can stop the run, I think they have a chance to win this game. -
Aaron Maybin is playing out of position
Phlegm Alley replied to Got_Wood's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Convert him to a TE. -
The Fitzpatrick thread you knew was coming.
Phlegm Alley replied to Van_phelaN1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I had no idea Fitz was only 27 years old. Has he hit his ceiling? Maybe not, but what is his ceiling and how long can he peak for? I think Fitz has certain physical limitations that will prevent him from reaching a franchise level QB, but I think he can toe the line for the next 2-3 years while we attempt to find that QB that can be a cornerstone of the franchise for the unforeseeable future. -
He threw a great pass pass in the endzone that was in his receiver's gullet, and the defender ripped it away, which resulted in an interception, so his stats were skewed a little. Steve Young was very critical of him on the 1st pick though. He said (and this is verbatim), "You can't pat the ball 4 times and then try to throw the deep out". Take it for what it is worth, the rest of the MNF crew complimented his play.

1st round pick next year for a 31 year old QB? No thanks. Unless the Bills think that a QB is the final piece to the playoff puzzle, maybe, but Ralph even said it himself, we are at least 3 years away from competing.
