Do me a favor and look up what team lead the league in rushing TDs this year. Then, I want you to compare that number to the number of rushing TDs the Bills had this year. You would think that investing such high draft picks on RBs would result in the Bills having some success in the running game. Patriots win by scheming and Belicheck putting his players in a position to succeed. Not drafting for need, but drafting for system.

Which means we shouldn't rule out the possibility of selecting AJ Green if he is there as well. -
I love the Pack, but I wish they had more balance from the running game. If they can establish some semblance of a running game, I think they win this game, and go on to the Super Bowl.

Kyle Williams - pro bowler!

Congrats to Kyle. Very deserving. Now we need to get him some help on the line to free him up some more. -
Luck will not declare for the draft. Breaking news...

I take BPA which might ultimately be AJ Green. Lot of things need to shake out between now and then, like Senior Bowl, combine, pro days. Green IMHO, is the safest pick not to bust in the draft, but I would prefer Fairley. They have until the 15th of January to declare. -

A couple of things: I think that the potential QB class of 2012 could be very strong. Luck, Barkley, and Landry Jones is a pretty strong class. How dumb are the Panthers to have announced that if Luck declared, they would draft him? Not much of a vote of confidence for the QBs on the roster. I would have to think that AJ Green could potentially be the #1 pick. Get Clausen or Matt Moore the weapons they may need to be successful and see if they progress as a result. Bills will no doubt go defense now with the #3 pick, unless they trade down. -

Gotta respect his decision. He understands the value of an education. But to walk away from the amount of money that he is going to walk away from and set your family up for life is admirable yet leaves me scratching my head a little bit. Nonetheless, kudos to Luck for sticking to his guns. -
Who do you think is the safest pick in the Draft
Phlegm Alley replied to Phlegm Alley's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just giving my opinion and not looking for/don't care about objections. Just looking for who people think is the safest pick in their opinion. Regardless of the draft being a crapshoot or previous injuries, or position played. -
I know not everyone has declared yet and there are a couple more bowl games yet to be decided, but we have a general idea based on production at the college level who the top prospects will be come April. The safest pick IMHO is AJ Green. I know he has had collarbone injuries in the past, but I really can't envision a scenario where he doesn't become a top 10 WR in the NFL in the next couple of years. I'm not advocating the Bills should draft him, but I think he would be a pretty safe pick for some team picking in the top 7.

FWIW: Ross Tucker's Twitter: I spoke with one well-placed NFL source who is higher on Ryan Mallett than Andrew Luck. Said Luck has a "very average" NFL arm. Link

A friend of mine bought his house in Manassas, VA from Scott Norwood, who works as a realtor in the area. Another friend of mine attended a Jim Kelly football camp during Kelly's prime. Afterwards, someone came up to my friend and asked a group of 3 kids if they could stick around for a little while. They did and were rewarded with a photo shoot with Jim Kelly. The photos were for a local advertising campaign that featured these photographs on billboards and busses accross the WNY area. My buddy has one of the ads from a bus....its huge, like 12 feet long, 4 feet high. Pretty hysterical considering how lucky he was.

I think people are calling for a QB because they harken back to what Ralph said earlier this year: QB will be a priority in the New Year. Since Ralph made that statement, Fitz has played better, but he hasn't gotten Ralph's vote of confidence, which will ultimately dictate who and when the Bills will target a QB. Poz will be a Bill next year. It is Whitner who I believe will be looking for a new home next year.

my worst draft nightmare(s)

New England can trade them back the pick that Carolina traded to them last year (2nd rd, #33 overall). -
Poz would like to stay a Bill
Phlegm Alley replied to Joaquin1119's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think we can all agree that Poz and Whitner have been average in their careers thus far, and with both of them up fro FA, I think the front office will sign one or the other...not both. Personally, I think they'd re-sign Poz before they sign Whitner. They already have pretty good depth at Safety, but LB, OTH, is a complete liability and weakness on the D. I think they made a terrible mistake in re-signing Kelsay, but as others eluded too, this team needs quality depth on D and these guys provide that. -

As others have mentioned, it is probably tennis elbow. There is no known cure for tennis elbow and there is no reason why it comes around in the first place. I had it a couple of years ago after experiencing similar symptoms. I went to the doctor thinking that it was worse than just tennis elbow because the pain was aching and consistent...nuisance variety. Doc informed me that it was probably tennis elbow and gave me a cortisone shot. Didn't feel much better after that and went back. Got one more cortisone shot and the pain was gone just as quickly as it came.

I have said that if I were a boxer or an MMA fighter, the song that would put me in a frothy rage would be "Last Christmas" by WHAM. It does the opposite of putting me in the Christmas spirit. -

Howard Stern sign 5-year extension with Sirius/XM
Phlegm Alley replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Only about 24 hours or so after ranting about how he wouldn't take a cut in salary and moaned about his contract negotiations, Howard Stern signed a new 5-year deal with Sirius-XM. Reports put it at about $80 million per year (or $2,008 per minute, says The Daily Beast). But Stern keeps about $60 million, as he pays his staff and other production costs with the other $20 million. Stern's salary is about one-fourth of the total programming cost for all of Sirius-XM. -
