I hate to say it … but the Pats are coming
Fan in Chicago replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
Pats** are a major concern particularly because we are not holding up our side of the bargain. If the Titans game did not raise red flags, yesterday's game showed them in full glory. One consistent personality if Belichick coached teams is that they play to their abilities and mask deficiencies. They maximize their potential and minimize penalties. Clearly, we control our own destiny but right now things are not going well as yesterday's game came after the Titans loss and anemic offense in the first half of the Dolphins game. -
Was this the worst upset loss in team history?
Fan in Chicago replied to BADOLBILZ's topic in The Stadium Wall
Of course we weren't fully healthy. But that is not an excuse against one of the worst teams in the NFL. What is making this worse is the fact that the O has looked out of sorts for past 3 games. Forget dominance, they don't have the ability to adjust and put together a few drives. Brady used to do this consistently during his time with the Pats**. We just can't seem to do this. Allen was continuously under pressure and had no time to get into any rhythm. Very depressing performance today -
That was a good interview. Sanders is a good guy 🙄 This is Love's big chance to show some level of competency. A Packers fan-friend said he will be singing "All we need is Love"

Breaking News: Odell Beckham is set to be released

We don't need characters like OBJ on this team. Period. -
TNF: Jets @ Colts, 8:20 on Fox/NFLN
Fan in Chicago replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I dislike the Jets and the kind of support their fans provide (or not) but yesterday I honestly felt bad for the Jets in general. They got thoroughly embarrassed. It was a sorry sight esp after that long TD run. -

When he broke through for the run, in was thinking "this cannot be possible". And he just took it to the house. Saleh should just forfeit the game. This is beyond pathetic -

This has to be the worst D performance I have seen all season. Can't watch this any more -

Colts O doing whatever they want. This is ugly for the Jets Wow. That guy couldn't be any open. This is ridiculous -
Duh. Has to be both brothers else they would be JAG

That should end his illustrious NFL career

B must be Allen. You should have added INTs to make it clearer who A is

I can see why you are salty about the narratives but much of the media has had to eat crow degrading Allen except for a few doofuses like that Nick dude. As for Lawrence, it's unfortunate that he gets hyped, then put in a terrible situation and questionable coaching with none of it his own doing. Some (not you) may say he has to grow up but he really is just a kid with a lot of expectations on his shoulders. Seems like a curse of talent. Of the two, Allen's situation was and is better - bashed by the media but a terrific coach and FO.

As always good write-up, Virgil One comment - the Allen "goodbye" becomes the focal point because everyone can see it. It is likely that there was lot of talking going on during the game by the Dolphins D and Allen waited to react until the game was put away. Problem is that words don't show up in pictures and hence, it is Allen who looks like the bad guy. We dont know what happened on the field during the entire game until that point. I would like to believe that Allen is too classy to do marginally crass things like that without provocation.

I saw only about a quarter today and thought Mahomes has suddenly become Patrentative

What team scares you the most?
Fan in Chicago replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall
A scenario scares me the most - getting beaten by a Brady-led Bucs in the Superbowl. I will be depressed for weeks if that were to occur -
If not for anything else, I would like to see Breida play this week to keep the rust off in case we are forced to use him further down the line.

I feel bad for the kid.

Was not classless on the Bills part. If we were already up by three scores and then decided to air out a bom + try a 2 point conversion, I could go with that logic. I think the Dolphins would still have time left and with the possibilities of a Hail Mary + on-side kick, two scores would not be full insurance for a win. I have no issue with McD's strategy and there was nothing classless about it. If you want to see classless, go back to our games against the Pats** when Losman was our QB. Now, that was disgusting on Belichick's part.

Derrick Henry potential season ending injury
Fan in Chicago replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes, bad to see an player injured and especially with a season-ending injury. As you allude to, depending on a single player to badger the opposing D and with his running style, the likelihood of such injuries does go up significantly. Vrabel should have known better than to wear out Henry in that way. I dont agree with the last part of your post. Henry's presence sets up their entire offense due to the commitments the opposing D has to make to contain him. The Titans O will just not be the same and good teams such as the Bills will take advantage. Titans may still win a lot of games, but will lose the ones that matter.
