That was vehemently debated in the party I was at. I was the lone person saying it was more Stafford's fault than the receivers

Colts to either trade or cut Carson Wentz
Fan in Chicago replied to BuffaloBills1998's topic in The Stadium Wall
This was a bad choice by the Colts at the time it was made. Best to cut ties sooner rather than later. Colts have a good roster and HC held back by the QB position. I am curious which cast off QB will be used as a bridge by Reich -
Why would you even contemplate trading Rousseau, who had a stellar rookie year? Plus, if we are going to trade anyway, I would rather get a proven EDGE than another rookie, no matter how highly rated he is. We should be in win now mode. I understand its a hypothetical but at least the suggestion needs to have some grounding in reality. Answer is "hell no"

Beach chairs are back! (Kromer hired as OL Coach)

Allen should tweet him a picture of him wearing a t-shirt with an imprinted beach chair Probably his wife Dawn. But why do you ask? -
The WR FA list for 2022 is very intriguing…
Fan in Chicago replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall
The WR room will look different next year save for Diggs and Davis as we are not sure about Beasley and Sanders. So, adding to the weapons actually means upgrading from the latter two. I also agree that D scheme was more at fault on the dreaded 13 seconds and in OT. However, the team can certainly do with an impact DE. If that means trading one of our current DEs to get a better one (Mack?) has merit. Contemplate - AJE+ Hughes for Mack as an example. Adding a rookie wont help as we need that impact now. My offseason wish list is: - Fire Frazier and hire an experienced DC - Draft OL, DB (Corner) and LB - Trade Edmunds - FA or draft for WR - Add an impact DE - Cut Star (yea, I know about the cap impact) - FA for another RB and LB (if we get rid of Edmunds) -
Can't wait for Frazier to leave
Fan in Chicago replied to Bermuda Triangle's topic in The Stadium Wall
Whether he leaves of his own volition or is showed the door, if there is a better choice available then It needs to happen. Jim Schwartz interviewed for the Giants' DC job which means he would like to get back in that role. Beane should seriously consider taking a look. One thing is for sure, the DC needs to be experienced and not a rising coordinator to ensure a steady hand at critical points of pivotal games -
Trubisky -- where does he end up?
Fan in Chicago replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
I would short list the suitors based on (1) having an existing running game (2) Good OL (3) decent defense Though not all of these teams meet all the above criteria, I am guessing: Steelers, Saints, Commanders, Panthers -
Brian Flores suing NFL, NY Giants, Dolphins, Broncos.

I am aware, of course. I was using this case to make a general statement about the interviewing rules -

This timeline does not sit well with me. Coordinators should not be interviewing for new jobs in the days leading up to playoff games. I am aware that this is within the rules, but I dont like it. I dont want the coordinators distracted. -

(Warning - speculation ahead) If true, it is entirely likely that McD leaned on Daboll around the Bucs game to change the play calls to a more balanced approach. If Daboll didnt like that, then I say him leaving is for the betterment of the O going forward. Clearly the O was more balanced and dangerous towards the end of the season and into the playoffs. Something changed and it must be McD forcing Daboll to curb his natural proclivities. -

Are you excited about the Superbowl matchup ?
Fan in Chicago replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall
New faces in the SuperBowl and no idea who will play how. Will playoff choker Stafford show up again? Will Burrow show 2nd year yips on the big stage? Entirely unpredictable and I dont give a rat's tushy who wins and loses. I am quite excited. No, really, I am. -

Brandon Beane Season Ending Presser Weds 1/27
Fan in Chicago replied to cage's topic in The Stadium Wall
My complaint against Frazier is that when his schemes are not good they fail horrendously and irreversibly in-game. Happened a couple of times last season and this season in the first NE game, critical times of the Chiefs game. Last season I felt that much of the failing of the D was due to Frazier's coaching but a few knowledgeable folks in here were of the opinion that it was more due to the players than Frazier. This year's lofty D rankings seemed to suggest they were right and I was wrong but I still get the niggling feeling that something is amiss. Sure we need a couple of key pieces (CB, LB) but every damn team needs "couple of key pieces". I think we had sufficient talent to win it all. But for next season, we absolutely need to upgrade - fill the gaps and leap frog the competition, Chiefs, Titans, Colts, pats** wont be sitting still -

It took Reid and Payton a long, long time (and future HOF QBing) to succeed consistently in the playoffs But @PatsFanNH said that BB doesnt want a QB like Allen 😁 -
Not directly related to JP, but I am excited to see two American girls now in the Semis. There has been a dearth of dominant women players post-Serena , Venus and a Sharapova. But in this fragmented landscape, Madison Keys and Danielle Collins will fight #1 Ash Barty and #7 Swiatek. Go USA girls!

Sounds like speculation than "insider information" Its entirely possible that Bass intended to kick it to the 5 or 10 yard line but misjudged it. Thinking about the physics involved and the precision of 10 yards, I can see how this could have happened. But yes, it can be marked as imperfect execution. Still, the D allowing the march towards a FG is more inexcusable than the kickoff. Also, given the furious nature of the final 2 minutes of regulation, both D's must have been tired which Reid and Mahomes successfully exploited with a faster pace in OT. Yet the D still should contained their O to at least limit them to a FG and give Allen and the O another chance. We can blame the ST all we want but the more egregious errors were made by the D.

Getting draft picks is fine, but fixing such issues is more important. At the level where Bills are competing, we will need a steady DC who wont panic or try to get too cute in critical situations. We have to overcome the Chiefs barrier in the playoffs but need to also keep in mind that we need to better counter act teams such as the Titans and Colts.

JP overchieved given her ranking. She did very well in last year's Aussie Open. Ironically, she lost in the quarter finals, which is the equivalent of the NFL divisional round ( round of 8 )

I would really like to go to one or more of the majors , hopefully before the big 3 of men's tennis retire. As for Djokovic, I always say that he may end up winning more majors than the other two but he will never win the hearts and minds of tennis fans like Federer and Nadal have.
