The past 17 years have been the longest and most intensely competitive periods I have witnessed in the 40 years of following this sport. Federer started it. I personally rooted for Nadal over him but they made for a fantastic rivalry.

A tennis great retires. He changed the level of the game and ushered in the golden era of tennis where fans witnessed unbelievable skill and competition between him and the other big two.

Not sure if I am spoiled by Allen, but in the games I watched today, the QBs looked pretty mediocre. Rodgers looked like the offseason moneybags were weighing down his throwing arm.

Never good to hear about any injury. But he was not playing well. Indecisive, inaccurate. I have never bought into the hype surrounding him and tonight was proof of why.

- Collinsworth mentioned in the first half that Allen's play (being patient, ball out quick, taking short passes) was Brady-esque. Set aside your hatred for Brady and recognize that this was a compliment - Ball was indeed coming out very quickly in the first half which limited the Rams' D options - imo, the second INT was on Allen.
