Obama easing certain restrictions on Cuba

Looks like a strategic move to counter-act Chavez. -
Methinks McCargo is still here cos we are waiting to see who we manage to acquire in FA/draft.

Who has ESPN Insider?? They are reporting..
Fan in Chicago replied to kdipirro's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Whether he is a candidate for Canton is not the subject here and I am not making anything remotely close to that assertion. What I do think is that he is a gutsy player who has played at or above his level of God-given skills. And yes, I think he would have done very well if given a chance at some designed end-arounds. -

If memory serves me correctly JR was a RB in college wasn't he ? I have always wondered why we haven't used him on end-around plays a lot when he could do major damage. -
how much do you hate this offseason?

A lot. But, not half as I will be if the season starts with our current roster talent. -
All The Bills' Picks Are Now In

Personally responsible for what ? The outcome of the poll ? Wouldn't be much of a poll then, would it ? Am I missing some sarcasm here ? -

I think RR is reporting on the results of a poll and not stating his personal opinion. -
4 year $23 Million Dollars
Fan in Chicago replied to Yasin's BILLS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good for Greer. I liked him when he played for the Bills - played well without drama. Early this off-season, I was wondering if we shouldn't sign Greer and trade McGee. -
Whether you agree with TG or not, there is no reason to insult him in your post. Titling the post with an 'F' is not a proper way to indulge in any conversation. Look at NY Nole's post - he also disagrees but has stated his point in a civil manner. On to some of your points - Lynch's punishment should be based on his crime and not on his background. Secondly, you are stating your opinion about which is a bigger crime - beating your girlfriend or a hit-and-run/gun possession. That is your judgment only and nothing else. How is that a supporting statement to your condemnation of TG ?

Blockbuster going to declare bankruptcy?
Fan in Chicago replied to Fezmid's topic in Off the Wall Archives
While true that the selection is not strong, it is a big step in the right direction. I have the Samsung BDP-2500 Blu ray player and it has Netflix streaming built-in. It works very very well. As soon as I saw these devices start hitting the market (Roku, 1 BD player by LG, 2 or 3 by Samsung), I could see that Blockbuster is toast. Netflix got a jump on the technology and started tying up the device manufacturers. Soon they will have critical mass which will make it very very difficult for a competitor to break into. They are executing their technology strategy to perfection (lock up complementary assets, have a reliable technology etc.) The only gripe I have now is the one that Fez mentions - prices for Netflix have been climbing rapidly but are still very low compared to OnDemand. -
The Bills OL From Left To Right
Fan in Chicago replied to Bill from NYC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bill, the lack of attention to the lines is one area where I completely agree with you. The current starters and lack of depth really really scares me. I will give the benefit of doubt to Hangartner and expect him to be more than adequate as C. But given that we made no other moves to shore up the OL gives me cause for immense concern. Can we really trust rookie(s) to protect Trent and open holes for Lynch/Jackson ? I don't think so. This is the reason that, even though I like Stroud, I am not entirely pleased at his new contract - it is money we did not have to spend this year. We could have utilized it to re-do Peters and/or get another O lineman. Good post. -
Spray for 6x longer sex Must say it piqued my interest until I read this line: "xtended their love-making from half a minute to almost four minutes, trials showed". Guess I really shouldn't make fun of this as it can be a real issue for some people, but frankly the inability of some to last even a minute surprised me.

Old is gold, eh ? Then again, maybe not. -

So just because I liked JP in the past makes my opinion of Trent less credible than yours ? This argument is specious - you are discounting my point of view just because I do not agree with you regarding Trent's abilities ? I, in return, will not label you anything including being a Trent fan-boy. The problem is that you stated your opinion and I did mine - only difference is that I am not attempting to deflect your arguments with meaningless labeling. -

Really ? Is that all you have to say in response to the data that is presented to you ? I daresay that your response makes you look like the foolish one. As for your said audience, I was a JP fan but realized that he became a QB who will not be the player we want him to be. Then, being a true Bills fan, started hoping that the brains trust (and I use this term VERY loosely) is correct in handing the reins to Trent. But so far, I have yet to see evidence of their wisdom. -

Some of us are not sure TE is the long term answer at the QB position and some are sure he is. It is a difference in opinion. We do know that the FO, for now, thinks he will develop into the QB we need him to be. But I am not sure how you can extend that to the rest of the NFL. I happen to think that they do not have us picking a QB early is because of the reason you stated - it is too early to make the switch. And my opinion is no more or less 'reasonable' than yours. -
To who and what ?

True but I agree with your earlier statements - saying our OL is acceptable now and going into the season hoping Bell will pan out is a strategy fraught with extreme risk. We need to assume we need help and not hope that we will luck out with Bell as we did with Peters. A feel-good story like Peters' happens very rarely and a mediocre franchise should not enter a season hoping lightning will strike twice in such a short span.
-
Does anyone but me find these statements baffling ? "we are in pretty good shape" Really ? We are woefully short on the OL both in terms of starters and depth. How on earth can anyone, let alone the HC, think we are anywhere close to "good shape". What is his definition of that term anyway. "we will keep looking in FA" Sounds so passive that it is sickening. How much looking have we done so far and what has stopped us from getting Goff or trading for Waters ?

Pete Prisco says Bill's biggest need is TE
Fan in Chicago replied to In-A-Gadda-Levitre's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As time ticks away I am getting less and less hopeful. Unless the hole filling you are referring to is a shovel full of dirt in a truck-sized hole. Back to the OP - I do not agree TE is a top priority right now. As other posters have said, we badly need help on the DL and OL. -
One then looks at your avatar and all is forgiven.

Yes, very true. Got a new Blu Ray player last weekend and it played my old DVD just fine. In fact many of these players come with upconversion so if you don't already have an upconverting player, you will see a better picture no matter what video disc you play. P.S. No 'e' in Blu
