Most Over Rated Band of All Time?
Fan in Chicago replied to truth on hold's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Me and my Catfish Rising tattoo disagree (and not respectfully so either). -
Who would you start at RT?

Sadly, I don't think we have a firm answer on the roster. - Urbik played both G and T in college so he is a possibility but we don't know. Plus he is new to the team and hasn't gone through training camp. So it will be a while before he can contribute assuming he is better than Green. - As you stated, we don't know about Howard We may have to live with this situation and plan on sliding extra protection on the right side and on blitz packages, tie up another person (RB) for blitz pickup. Sad as it sounds, we may not have any option. Also, we can only hope that even with max protect schemes, Trent makes better decisions and chucks the ball beyond the marker. -
Interesting Rumor on BB.com Message Board

Yea but we get a defensive player from that very same team and I daresay there is much more to gain by us learning their defense than they about our O. -
Close on the distance and good on the direction. Would have been good from ~ 55. Best thing I liked was that we at least took that chance to score however slim the possibility of success was.

Yes the passing game sucked BUT
Fan in Chicago replied to Mike in Syracuse's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As several posters have pointed out elsewhere, the running game will go nowhere without a passing game. Even a semblance of a passing threat can soften defenses. If this type of performance persists, it will re-open the debate about the FO's decision to go BPA versus trade-down for need. -
Trent Edwards- just the facts, stats
Fan in Chicago replied to zow2's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Funny ain't it that you can say almost the exact things about the defense and they turned out fine yesterday. We went D heavy in free agency and in the draft but did virtually nothing to upgrade another known failing - the OL. Sure I knew that all problems could not have been fixed in one off-season but I cannot believe that there were zero options to upgrade the tackle positions. We need some semblance of an offense and right now we are down right embarrassing. It is a cop out for the regime to say that we will fix the D this year and concentrate on the O next year. So what is this season - a detour on the way to next season ? Rant over - back to my original point. I realize that the OL sucks but Trent showed nothing yesterday. No attempt to make plays, few throws beyond the first down marker. Even if he tried and failed due to lack of time, I would buy into the logic the the only thing holding him back is the OL. -

We can only hope. And some unsolicited advice - please dont get drawn into arguments where posters tend to make personal attacks. It is beneath you to do that and serves no real purpose but aggravation and frustration. I felt your opinion about the Bills vs the Dolphins to be fair - the Bills have done little over the past several years to give any hope. I am in a 'show me' mode - I like what I have seen from the current regime but I am not sure if I am being objective or just a fan with rose colored pupils. -
2010 Captains have been named: Trent Edwards, Evans, Kelsay, Stroud, Moorman & George Wilson

True. There was a discussion a few months back regarding restricting posting privileges to new users but I don't think there was a consensus on what and how to implement such rules. The biggest loss I feel is the exit of posters like Lori and Tim Graham due to behavior of some morons. Perhaps matters may come to a head and we will end up with stronger rules and stronger enforcement. -

The Expert Prediction storage Area

Good idea. I propose we pin this thread for future reference. Also a suggestion is to post link, author, ranking and predicted finish in the body of the thread (should the link cause problems come laugh time in December). -

Ooh snap, how did I miss that one ? I need to constantly remind myself that every win is one step away from the top draft pick in 2011 -

Stretch goals I see and quite noble ones. Good thing we get our hated rivals on day 1. So lets go win this one. Squish the f.... err ..... mammals -
Fair enough but I am not sure we are a team that had the luxury of using 2 years to develop our top picks. Did the previous staff think he was BPA ? If yes, he better make an impact eventually for us. The way we have messed up drafting in the past, we are stuck needing our top picks to contribute very quickly.

I think we won't have to wait to long to laugh at him. My prediction is that we will be at worst 4-4 by the half way point.

Despite his paper skills and straight line speed, if he cannot work on getting open and catching balls (see the ball bounce off his hands in Cincy game) he is a gonner. I know he has been injured a lot but if there he is not producing (whatever the reason), he will be cut by this staff. I think we will have Evans, Parrish, Chad Jackson, Steve Johnson and Nelson as our WRs with Roosevelt and Hardy on the bubble.

Ofcourse its just a scrimmage. So now Corner has an INT return for TD. And our second in two games. How does that help in the regular season ? I am messing with ya, Mark. As you didn't pick up on my sarcasm, I am coming clean. I am loving all of what I am seeing since the last game.
