  1. Or more worriedly - how many Skooby clones are out there ?
  2. There is not a Ghost of a Chance that Rush would buy the Bills. But if they do show The Big Money, we will know that they have a lot of Bravado. They may help us fans Turn the Page and get out of this Twilight Zone of losing and may get One Little Victory and be back in the Limelight ...
  3. Are you kidding ? There is plenty where that came from ...
  4. And 2005 which was JP's 'worst' season stats-wise: 8 GS, 113-228-1340 yards, 50% completion, 8 TDs, 8 INTs, rating = 65
  5. We are a desperate team ! I vote no to this. He is one of the few good players we have, we will need his experience in the coming years and a drafted player next year will take another year to be useful. So I rather not give up a solid performer in exchange for two+ years of inexperience/risk
  6. Welcome SP. Another reason why TBD rocks.
  7. Not denying about the coaching staff. It is just that his comments came across to me as a bit too hoity-toity. And reading the press, I forgot that they lost to the Saints. Heard Tomlin, John Harbaugh make such holier-than-thou statements ?
  8. Oops sorry. I was washed up in the hype around Ryan and the Jets.
  9. Easy for him to take this tone when his team is unbeaten. While I like his attitude, I will hold off on the devil worship till he shows he can win consistently.
  10. Desperation, creativity call it what you want but I agree that we absolutely had to attempt to fix this major problem. As a side note, I was wondering if it is too late this season to train Maybin for LB duties considering Schobel and Kelsay are doing well & we have Denney also.
  11. Chicken and egg kinda situation. The lack of deep passing threat allows opposing Ds to 'stack the box' so to speak thus putting more pressure on an already under-talented and inexperienced bunch of guys who have had little time to gel. Throw in the pressure of the no huddle and you see why the disaster is unfolding as it has. For those reasons alone, replacing Trent will do little to help the offensive output unless Fitz succeeds in establishing the semblance of a medium-deep passing game thus relieving the OL somewhat.
  12. Curious thought. As an example, the Bears could use an impact WR as him esp with Cutler throwing. Hester has done well this season but TO would help tremendously. Problem is what do the Bears give us in return ? They don't have linemen to spare this year which we need so perhaps only possibility would be a draft pick.
  13. Bad attitude from somebody who calls him(her) self a fan. This is equivalent to wanting the bills to lose so we get a higher draft pick. In any case, I am not sure it will take a 1-15 season to get Jauron fired. A string of lackluster performances by the players and being out of the playoff hunt in November will do it, IMHO.
  14. I absolutely thought that the players have quit in the 3rd Q of the Miami game. It did not look like they were even trying to make plays. Save for Kelsay, Schobel and Parrish, pretty much everyone was going through the motions. Owens' head was hanging so low he could have choked himself on his shoe laces. The players general demeanor, the look in their eyes, their effort (or lack thereof) indicated that the team just does not believe it can win. And this was against the (then) winless Dolphins. I was absolutely certain that 'things' would be shaken up this week following that utter debacle but not surprisingly nothing appears to have changed.
  15. If I have a guarantee that he will have a Favre like career (post-Atlanta) then sure I would trade for him.
  16. Didn't Parcells indirectly answer that question this past Sunday ?
  17. Yeah it will be fun to speculate how many pro bowlers we can stuff into this team to make him look like a good coach.
  18. I like the game gear in your avatar. Perhaps the only way to get the message across to RW.
  19. Already being discussed in another thread: http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/index.php?showtopic=97886
  20. We have one dog and have a Wellness plan through PetSmart/Banfield which covers regular visits and good discounts on sick visits.
  21. 1. I am generally not in favor of firing coaches in the middle of the season but yesterday it looked like the team has quit on DJ. That they have stopped trying. Watching a bunch of professional athletes randomly flailing about on the field and running around with no sense of determination, purpose or direction was downright disgusting. I don't care who is doing the favor on who but DJ must go. Eight division losses, apathy setting in at Game # 4 - enough ! 2. Weak maybe but more unmotivated and uncoordinated 3. Man, our tackles looked like school kids playing a man's game yesterday. 4. I agree in principle but there has to be a balance. You can only take 'best available player' philosophy so far without drafting for need. 5. Disagree. Evans is a gamer, a team man and a decent individual. He is the one person on this team who has been mis/under utilized 6. TO is perhaps wondering if money is worth this ignominy 7. Both our tackles are terrible. I am wondering if we shouldn't get Runyan and change our O philosophy now. We don't have the personnel to run the no huddle and an O that requires 'athletic OL' 8. Please do that. You should have started at the beginning of this season. Things about Trent that were nagging me since last year are now getting confirmed week after week - inability to use the full field, not being able to make his reads fast enough and inaccuracy at inopportune times 9. Schobel, Kelsay and Parrish were the only three that made ANY plays yesterday. But three players don't a team make 10. No kidding. But it is kinda difficult to do when the team you so passionately love lets you down in as dramatic a fashion as this one
  22. Absolutely. That is exactly how I felt in the 2nd quarter. Last season the excitement lasted into the 7th game but this season what started in the last game was cemented - this team is terrible. I think something will be changing this week with this team. Seventh straight loss to an AFCE foe and in such depressingly pathetic fashion has to result in heads rolling. Not that I am advocating it or think it will change much but I can foresee RW doing it to appease the fans, if not for anything else.
  23. Respect has to be earned and I think no one on the O, except perhaps Evans, has the 'weight' to stand up for a team mate and make himself heard in the media.
  24. Two premier receivers in TO and Evans. TO, who did not have much trouble getting consistently open in the past. There is no way the three defenses we faced consistently covered (double covered ?) both these receivers without leaving something open for a third WR/TE in the middle portion. The D has to be 'giving' something either deep or middle.
