  1. A friend from the DC area had told me earlier in the week that Zorn would be fired as soon as the team is off the field and that Shanny will be announced Monday. I thought this is another of them rumours but the first part came true albeit a bit 'late'.
  2. Mildly amusing that this term is then used in a post about Cowher.
  3. Some coaches inherit great rosters (Gruden), others develop them (Belicheck) and some have them thrust upon them (Cowher). Then there is the Bills.... While shedding nary a tear, I can say we are better off anyway. Kitch all that ?
  4. You got it backward. The madness will start once he makes a decision.
  5. Let some other poor sappy team give him his chance to prove what a total inflexible idiot he is. Not the Bills, please !
  6. Some of us already know
  7. Another warm body for the meat grinder
  8. I don't think so. We also need a couple of more good linebackers in addition to Poz. Not sure how well Mitchell will come back from injury. We are set with our DEs and DBs.
  9. What ? # 5 is pass yards allowed/game.
  10. Clearly a large majority of you overlooked a point the OP made: "Teams are averaging a middle of the NFL 32.8 passing attempts a game, so it can't be argued that teams just decide to run the ball all the time, because clearly that isn't the case." So it is not that opposing QBs aren't trying to pass much. And most of the time, quick and large chunks of yards are obtained through the air. If our pass D was not strong, we would have seen a lot more points racked up against us. Let us give credit where credit is due - our pass D is good.
  11. That explanation is better than your one line original post. I think it is too early to pronounce him a bust or a semi-bust. But considering as we have seen life without him (at the corner position) and with the other glaring holes we have, I too would not be averse to trading him for a high pick or a good lineman (preferably OL). I would add Lynch to that list also...
  12. His style ? In Buffalo weather ? No thanks (and that is just one of many reasons)
  13. Wish the best to Lori's family. TBDers - stay safe
  14. Agreed that at the time DE was supposed to be a need position. But I disagree with your last statement. First of all, I thought he would take time to start making an impact because he missed TC. But we are close to the end of the season and I am disappointed he still has not shown anything. Again, he may be one of the players that will take time to develop and that may be fine. But we did not have that luxury this year. We could have drafted a player who could have contributed as Levitre, Wood and Byrd have done. Even if Maybin becomes a dominant player couple of years down the road, I would still call it the wrong pick for this year. We are left wondering what a good LT would have done for our season.
  15. Bledsoe or Flutie ?
  16. I agree with most of your post. But I think McK's fumble was a horrible play and not 'stupidity'. Roscoe is the one who has totally gone down the tubes this season in terms of performance and IQ. Till last year, he atleast was a good returner. Not to be a contrarian, but I have a tough time going with the 'stupid' team proclamation of Kyle Williams. Yes we have had stupid plays at inopportune times but to blame the entire season's performance and record on 'stupidity' is carrying it too far. We have a myriad of problems starting with the frustrating injuries, poor talent at OL and depth at OL. I would say QB also but it would have been a fair to judge if we had a half way competent OL. And ofcourse, DJ's pathetic coaching philosophy.
  17. We know about the carbon tax. Maybe we can have a fat tax. Or a cap and trade system for fat.
  18. I am jealous ! Have fun. Go Bills !!! Ground the Jets.
  19. Thank you Tim Graham for putting this on the ESPN blog. Our TBDers and TBD got props from him "Bills fan Matt Irving grabbed a few of the freebies Sunday. Friend and fellow Bills loyalist Joshua Fitzgerald scanned a copy and posted it on the fan message board at TwoBillsDrive.com. " Great job guys Josh and Matt.
  20. I certainly don't want the Bills to take that chance. Would be more than happy to see someone else do it, too bad no likely openings in the AFCE.
  21. Not an entirely undesirable outcome. And take your TBD membership with you.
  22. I answered no truthfully. Once we had the 10 point advantage and with the D playing aggressively, I felt the game was put away. If Jauron was the coach, I would have answered yes.
