What's your confidence level going into the game today?
Fan in Chicago replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
You didn't specify a scale so I hope that's not on a scale of 1-100 My confidence level at this point is 6.667 out of 10. If the game was yesterday, it would have been sub-5.0 I really think this, of all games, will be decided by ball security. We cannot turnover the ball esp in our side of the field -

Shout-out to @4merper4mer who had correctly judged JJ when he was on the market and few in here were clamoring to get him -

Or play the field position game hoping the other team turns the ball while backed near their own EZ. I bet both teams will go extra hard to cause fumbles inside the 20 or 30 yard line. It may risk a missed tackle but the payoff could be a change of possession. For Tomlin, this is the more likely path to success than trusting Rudolph to make the right decision and throws. -

Not quite the point of your post but there are some beautiful roads that take you through places like Warren, PA; Jamestown and to Buffalo. Those roads will be more treacherous now but fun to drive in Fall. -
Taron Johnson Named 2nd Team All-Pro
Fan in Chicago replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
I can see how the constant badgering about his turnovers affects the voters. Imo, the bigger mistake/joke/travesty is Ed Oliver not making the first team. -
Joke of the day
-
I also agree that the #1 pick should be used on a QB. Else, just in the top 10, there are teams who need a QB and will give a king's ransom for the #1 pick - Commanders, Patriots, Giants, Falcons.

Wild Card Round, Squeelers v. Bills - PREDICT THE SCORE
Fan in Chicago replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
They have become better and better as this and the other thread has gone on. -
Quick release passes , mix of runs (Cook, Fournette, Allen). I see a lot of Kincaid and Shakir success here

(Username is appropriate) Heck we fans don't know what we are going to get and yet we watch with keen anticipation -
Those are good points. To invest the #1 in a QB, they have to be absolutely convinced that he is worth it (and do the e v a l like the org did for Trubisky). The available slate of HC candidates and the demand could have influenced their decision to keep Eberflus. They must have thought "omg we could end up with bottom of the barrel choices and end up in a worse situation out of desperation"

If the Bears aren't totally sold on Fields, they should draft a QB with the top pick. Doubling down is better than hitching the entire wagon to Fields and missing on a rare chance of drafting #1
-
Makes for better headlines. I know where you are coming from - in a corporate environment, mutual separation is the standard statement.
-
Imo, Vrabel will go to a team which already has a high potential QB or in position to draft one high. He will not make the same mistake of rotating cast away QBs.

Ed Oliver is playing out of his mind this season

That he was not selected for the ProBowl loudly and definitively speaks to the process of selection. Utter trash. -

When I saw his passes in a couple of games, they looked lazy and wobbly to me. Dude had a strong arm when he came into the NFL but in games this year, it looked average to weak. But now that you said it, I went looking https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/how-the-steelers-mason-rudolph-has-completely-turned-around-the-offense-kept-pittsburgh-in-the-playoff-race/ "Rudolph throws deep with a moon-ball style, giving his receivers plenty of time to field the football and adjust to it before making a play. He understands with that high-arcing trajectory that the ball has to be thrown early in the down to avoid safeties ranging to help the corner. " -

With Rudolph throwing and 30-50 mph winds, there is no need to defend the perimeters or the medium to deep zones. Just stack the box and bring up a safety. I am having visions of Rudolph attempting a medium depth pass and the wind taking it for a ride. The trajectory of that ball will be quite amusing -
I speculate that Vrabel becoming available will accelerate Kraft's decision regarding BB. If Kraft was on the fence, he needs to make up his mind quickly. Vrabel is the best candidate available and should prefer a Pats job due to his history

Quite the score prediction if FGs wont be attempted. -
No way Belichick goes to work for an ego maniac like Jerry Jones

I agree. I have been anticipating him having a terrible game and the WC one may be it. Maybe I should hope for the Bills running into the Browns so we can beat the snot out of him
