  1. Keon Coleman heaves a sigh of relief
  2. You are priceless. And I mean it in the most complimentary of ways. Though 90% of the posters in this thread won't understand why.
  3. Yes there is always a reason for someone selling assets. But it could be that the team is performing horribly and is looking to hit the reset button from 2026 starting with the draft. That is a good enough reason for us to call one of these teams and offer picks for a speedy WR with good hands. If we didn't get a volume player, it's fine. We need someone to be that guy who will keep defenses honest. A John Brown types. I am not looking to sell my 8 year old car but if someone comes to my door with cash at $5000 over book value, I will sell. In summary, I disagree with your notion and feel that Beane should go around flashing his credit card and see who is or becomes available.
  4. As is said, we can only control our own games. While it will look underwhelming, if we go, say, 13-4 and still get the top seed, I won't be disappointed. I will hope though that we would be finding our sea legs and stay relatively healthy by the time the playoffs roll around. Falcons appears to be a "must win" just to alleviate our fears that this team is a pretender and not a real contender. I had said earlier in a different post - there isn't a fully dominant team in the NFL at this point. We look at our angelic baby too often and worry it is uglier than the neighbor's. When in reality, the other poor sap is thinking the same.
  5. A friend and Bengals fan was telling me he hopes they trade for Wilson. I repeatedly told him to be careful what he wishes for. Russel no longer cooks cos he is cooked himself.
  6. I agree with you. And I will go disinfect myself now 😃
  7. Was Worthy in on that play? Couldn't he have tracked the lumbering Lloyd down?
  8. Been there and I feel for you . Losing a pet is very saddening.
  9. He owned that int in the press conference with no excuses. And he is correct. On the handoff fumble he said "it was a bad handoff" without pointing fingers. He didn't need to say anything about the stupid fumble by Coleman.
  10. The stats and numbers don't lie. Maye is quietly having an MVP year and it's only a matter of time till all football fans and analysts realize it. So far, @Boo Radley Boston would like him to fly under the radar
  11. Well earned!! Way to go, James Cook. And his performance is at least the same if not better than in his contract year. Which says a lot about the type of person he is.
  12. The Bills and Allen don't need luck to win . Does this line of thinking make you sleep better at night? Or make you feel better about the fortunes of your team in the AFCE? A LOT has to happen before Maye can hold a candle to Allen and your Pats challenge for the division. Aint happening this year. Fans of other teams who come to this board often have a balanced view of the game and players. You clearly came here to somehow throw random numbers and pass them off as "facts" to support some weird takes.
  13. I wouldnt say the board is frightened as much as acknowledging that the Bills will have their hands full especially with the defensive woes and lack of big play ability on O. The Patriots will be a good health check before we get into the real fights with the teams you mentioned. Of course we have the better chance to win but Vrabel can craft a plan to give us fits. I think this is good. We have been coasting through the AFCE lately and a little challenge will be a good thing.
  14. "Ravens cant fly" would be too boring.
  15. Needs a more descriptive title
  16. Agreed. After I posted, I thought of Frazier but then @Sierra Foothills pre-emptively pointed out he is already employed with the Seahawks. Hope the D gets its act together. Either via Babich learning quickly or that unit coming together after everyone is back. With that, I will stop this tangent in the GWT. Go Bills !
  17. I challenge this perception. What we know is that Knox and Allen are buddies. But there is little chance that Allen the QB trusts Knox the TE as a reliable pass catcher. And, to use a cliche, it is a business and Beane won't continue paying Knox at this level as payback for Knox being Allen's buddy. As fans, we can only be excited to see a young , lower round pick to look so promising early in his career
  18. Hawes may have been drafted as a blocker but he has sure hands. 4 targets - 4 receptions. By comparison, Knox has 8 targets - 4 receptions. Sometimes players surprise you. It is too early to say that Hawes won't develop into a receiving option at least equivalent to Knox who has a history of dropsies. Knox either has to agree to a major restructure or will be gone next off season. Whether we draft/acquire another TE with receiving skills depends on what Hawes shows the rest of this season. The whole narrative about Knox being kept because he is Josh 's buddy is over-blown. Imo
  19. Playing this out... Let's say McD were to decide to make a change at DC, who is it there that fits his D philosophy? Off the top of my head, I can't think of anyone. And promote from within will leave a hole somewhere. I dont want McD taking over D duties in this year where we are aspiring for a SB. It is quite frustrating to see after all the resources that have been allocated to that side of the ball.
  20. Stand up guy and smart, for sure. And I know you were talking about the future in your thread. I just wanted to annoy you here . 😃
  21. Fields had a lot of time (forget the flag), looks all over and misses a wide open receiver. Lol
