  1. Why don't you go ask those hip chicks who think a Wrangler around them gives them a bad girl persona ?
  2. ... I will jump off a bridge
  3. In the past two brutal years, refinery profits sank. Secondly, with the signals on mandates for increased bio-fuels, the message was clear to the refining industry - gasoline demand in the long run will stay flat or shrink. In response to the short term over-capacity and the bearish projections for the future, capacity was taken out of the system to balance the dropped demand and low margins.and 4-5 refineries were permanently shutdown What happens now when demand spikes ? I am sure the shutdown refineries will be put up as Exhibit A of 'measures to ensure high prices'.
  4. Conversely, if the FO is not sold on Claussen, I can see them staying put with the QBs we have and using the picks in shoring up the lines + adding a WR. ie. giving all the tools for Edwards to succeed. After all, Nix has been honest in saying that they cannot fill all holes in one offseason (I paraphrase ofcourse).
  5. Tiger did that ? Really ?
  6. Does that make us all resident aliens ? About time we got a earthizenship (sorry).
  7. The sponsors won't care if the people don't.
  8. I am not entirely sure the Redskins won't draft Clausen anyway. If they believe in Clausen, they may trade down a few spots, pick up Clausen and an extra pick to be used for an OL. The McNabb deal gives them breathing room for a couple of years while Clausen learns. I realize this implies that they would have spent two high picks on QBs this year, but a trade-down would still give them an option to draft OL.
  9. Do you expect TT to dress up as Jesus ?
  10. Care to elaborate ? Thaler is a professor who is very well respected in the economics and behavioral field. The points he makes in this article are very good. What is yours ?
  11. Considering we are discussing Whit here, answering your question is difficult.
  12. I argue the 'NER' was not required
  13. Not officially but sure plenty on this board still cling to those hopes. As you and I know, none of his coaches have so far known how to best make use of him.
  14. What if he really gets traded ? Who will believe the news then ?
  15. Good one and you made me click on your post. Realized I have been suckered when I saw no link.
  16. So you want me to not offer my opinions on any signing ? Is that it ?
  17. Add Chad Jackson and we have one proven good, one proven not-so-good, and four unproven. Man, I hate those odds.
  18. Sorry to hear about the loss. Prayers to all and good wishes especially to your son.
  19. I agree with your post almost in its entirety. The only small difference is that in some situations, picking a good skill player may be justified. That is if the team is set on the lines and the QB position. However, we are not (ofcourse) and hence this is not a year we should use high picks on skill players.
  20. I highly doubt any team will give up its first pick for McNabb. As for the 49ers, if they acquire McNabb it will be tantamount to having given up on Alex Smith once and for all. I do agree with the article that the Eagles may have lost leverage due to the public knowledge that he is being shopped around. Now they pretty much have to take what they can get unless it becomes a bidding war.
  21. Curious why you have us taking a guard in Rd 2 as opposed to the tackle that we need. Also, waiting late in the draft for a NT bothers me cos we need one to start right away. We cannot afford a project for NT. The counter question I would ask is why would we take use our high draft pick for a player (Spiller) who is not a position of need ? No matter how good he is, his value to the team is lower than if we spent it on a solid OT/NT. If the ones we want are gone by the time we pick, we should consider trading down. I am really really against spending a high draft pick on a RB yet again in such a short time span (McGahee, Lynch)
  22. I thought by the wording of your post that you were implying people do not respond to census takers and hence the govt. has to send out multiple reminders. If thats what you meant, I don't think multiple reminders will make this segment of the population will respond in proportion to the number of reminders.
  23. Hurt my feelings ? I did not bring my feelings in this conversation purely my opinion which says (1) McNabb is a big game choker (2) is on the down side of his career (3) is not worth more than a 4th, or a 3rd at best (4) Won't be anything more than a stop-gap measure (5) (if true) he does not want to be here. I stand by my post in that no matter what the circumstances were around Kelly's arrival in Buffalo, he was a young QB with potential. McNabb is not. We may differ in our opinion, but my opinion is not poorer just because you don't agree with it.
