  1. Sad as this incident is, it decisively proves OBL was killed in the May 2 raid
  2. Aaah yes. Most 'well to wheels' or lifecycle analysis conclude that corn-based ethanol is at best marginally net positive in energy. i.e. all the inputs towards making corn based ethanol (energy for fertilizer, agriculture, processing, production etc) take almost the same energy as is received when that ethanol is burnt in an automobile.
  3. Careful now. Ethanol has 30% less energy content than oil derived gasoline. So, E85 will have (0.15 gasoline + 0.7*.85) = ~0.75 times the energy of regular, oil-derived gasoline. Energy 'factors' Oil-derived gasoline = 1.0 10% ethanol blend = 0.97 E85 = 0.75 Which means that you have to fill up E85 about 23% more frequently than E10. So at a buck cheaper (assuming regular E10 is ~ $4), you are about breaking even regarding $/mile driven.
  4. From the title, I thought it was about my ex. Nevermind ...
  5. I was not complaining. Simply adding to the list of 'things I learned from the movies' which was a stand-alone thread a while back.
  6. BTW - what was the Jeremy Renner cameo all about ? Or did I mistake someone for Renner ? Seeing this movie reminded me of the things I learn from movies (that original thread is buried deep): - Men yearn for godesses but superheros and Norsk Gods like mortal women - Norsk Gods can come to modern earth and immediately pick up the dialect and understand its culture
  7. Saw Thor last night and it was very good. As with you, I was not interested till a few weeks ago. But yesterday I had time to kill and the reviews were good so I saw it. Chris Hemsworth is mostly good though he does go too cute when he arrives on earth. I would have liked a bit more brawn and bit less sweetness. ANyway, I would never have expected a person with strong stage pedigree as Kenneth Branagh to direct such a movie and do it so well.
  8. How about making this easy on everyone and stating the best picks ? That list will be much shorter... I will start - Kyle Williams - Lee Evans - Schobel umm... aahhhh ... (Note Nix was already on board when we picked Wood, Levitre and Byrd)
  9. Methinks Nix and Whaley did the draft without his input to see how it turns out. Well, we did very well so TM was rendered useless. But, ofcourse this is pure speculation based on the timing. Just a point of reference - did you notice how the three picks we made from Gailey's senior bowl team did not mention Modrak having spoken to these prospects ? I just read about Nix and Gailey talking to them and scoping them out.
  10. Just got the text message. Wow !
  11. I think Buddy just got tired of Bill in NYC complaining about the Bills being too small and weak so went out and drafted Mt. Jasper
  12. Ryan so misses the attention that he is reduced to doing a cameo in CSI: NY. So get yourself out of the Jets hype machine and think objectively about the draft. The Bills became a whole lot better and will be looking to maul Sanchez soon (assuming he is still your starting QB).
  13. I can see it now - DW leaves for another team, makes one highlight reel next season and this board erupts with 'we should never have let him go, he is doing great with new scenery, look how great he is, this is why the Bills/FO/RW suck'
  14. That picture is, indeed, worth a thousand words
  15. Consider that in the last few years, he has been on the run, hiding and staying in different locations, pretty much cut off from the rest of the world, in fear. Then it all ends with two bullets to his head. If anything, the SEALS put him out of his self created misery. Still, I would have loved a public display of his blown off head and carcass. Thankfully, cooler heads than mine are in charge.
  16. Overall, I am happy with the positions we picked and based on the player profiles, of the picks themselves. I would have been happier with an OL pick in round #2 or #3 but perhaps there wasn't sufficient value to be had. In general, one OL or TE in place of a DB. (which reminds me to eat some crow cos I had predicted our draft will be tilted towards the O and boy was I wrong !)
  17. His body should be left swinging from the Statue of Liberty for at least a day. Kudos to the group that finally brought justice to the bas****s doorstep.
  18. Woody on a line with Wood and Levitre will just make the Erection Company jokes come out in full force
  19. Not sure I like the position we picked but Buddy continues to pick BPA. May indicate that the staff is not happy with the production from the CB position. Also, a DB that can play CB or safety is very valuable. I can reconcile to the pick but would have been happier with LB or even TE.
  20. It is not a fact as has been pointed out in the other thread.
  21. I will be fine with any option that doesn't include WR (now that Green and Jones are gone), DB or RB with the #2 and #3 picks. Even DT is now a low need position. OL, LB then TE unless one of the remaining QBs is graded as a good potential 2 yr developmental prospect.
  22. I can just see the jokes if we draft him. Little Miss Moffitt...
  23. Good to see you happy post-draft (for a change ) There a lot of options here and it will be interesting to see which direction the FO goes. IMHO, the front four are set and we should not draft Bowers. Here is who I think we should choose from: - Kyle Rudolph TE - Houston, (listed as a DE, I thought he can play OLB) - Kaepernick, QB - Ijalana, G
  24. Guys, let us not forget this feeling of elation tomorrow. Just in case, you don't like the 2nd round picks. A draft is more than one round for a reason and should be judged in its entirety. So far, so good. Got, arguably, the best player in the draft
