  1. In light of today's announcement that EJ will start, I thought it appropriate to resurrect this thread. The majority of you were correct - 62% voted that EJ will start. I was wrong. Go Bills !!!
  2. Just confirmed by text - EJ is our starter
  3. GOod to see you are man enough to admit it. Cant wait for you to be proven wrong about EJ
  4. Very good news especially after a tough week. :-)
  5. We haven't seen much of him with the first string O so he needs to play at least in a limited fashion in a game environment. Also, if indeed he gets l limited playing time tonight, it will be to protect him. As I had noted earlier, we are down to the only QB who has extensive knowledge and experience with the playbook. First and foremost he needs to be protected.
  6. Bills are in a tough spot. Give Tuel first team reps vs risk injury. Leinart nor Lewis have had any significant experience with the O so we are down to our last choice. Weighing the option, I would play Tuel for the entire first quarter or two solid drives - whichever comes later. I worry more about Tuel starting against NE* as I am sure the likes of Wilfork and Spikes will try their damnest to knock Tuel out of the game
  7. Besides the slut factor, that was a terrible dance performance. It had neither grace, style or an iota of sexiness about it. If nothing, get the turn on part correct.
  8. IMHO, your first paragraph is true with Tuel or EJ starting. Agree with the Gilmore point - big loss esp against Brady
  9. However, at that point of the season, the past will have no meaning. The QB helping the team win is all that matters at that time. My argument would be different if we are looking at a situation similar to AlexSmith-Kaepernick last year. It was entirely evident that for all the winning that SF was doing, Kaepernick could lift the team to greater heights. Hence, the decision to continue with CK was the right one. I just do not see Marrone benching a winning hand. Finally, if this situation indeed comes to pass, we will be in a very happy place and beats the alternative (all QBs sucking).
  10. If the bolded happens, nothing else matters.
  11. I disagree. Why would you bench a guy who is looking good and winning (which is the premise of the question) ? At that point, what will EJ have over Tuel besides draft status ?
  12. I have to agree but it may not be bad to be in that position. In that axenario, a week 1 win against the Pats* will be fun on so many levels. Anyway, I am getting too far ahead of ourselves. This game against the Skins was quite costly for the Bills with the Kolb and Gilmore injuries.
  13. So let me the first to start this thought. If Tuel plays decently enough to beat the Pats* and EJ is ready after that game, who starts game 2?
  14. Another good site for cables is http://www.bluejeanscable.com/
  15. But who do you think will start ? Okay So you think Tuel will be more ready than EJ ?
  16. This poll is about as simple as it gets. I want to see who TBD predicts will start against NE in Game 1. This is not about who should start or who you want to start . This is about who you think will start. I want EJ to start but think that Kolb will start (Marrone may take the safe way out against a division rival). So I vote Kolb. Have at it.
  17. Could be a psychological tactic on the Bills part. basically to say that 'you signed the tender but you are not God. We will keep doing whatever we need to for improving the team (keep roster spot open). Also, just because you now stride into OBD, we are not automatically going to kiss the ground you walk on." I think this sets up future negotiations with Parker and Byrd. All IMHO ofcourse.
  18. Fair enough. But I was using this extreme example to express how sad and disgusted I feel about the general apathy of the teens. Granted I am stereo-typing but I live in a middle-class suburb (Carol Stream which you may know) and see public places devoid of children involved in outdoor activities. When my kids were younger, they would indeed play outside. But things changed over the past 5-8 years with the proliferation of electronic technology. Maybe things will loop back around and the kids will eventually see the light. I think we will see interpersonal skills reducing drastically over time. Which will mean that the people who are good at interacting with others and being social will be at a premium - both personally and professionally. As we move to a more service oriented industry, these abilities will be required at an increasing pace. Anyway, Exiled and Gordio, as I said, this is a great conversation to be had face to face and not necessarily here on a message board.
  19. Very very classy. Other ex-Bills should take note (yea I am looking at you Peters, Whitner)
  20. I will be surprised if TJ is cut unless there are some issues we are unaware of. The earlier camp reports said he was having a great camp and has likely taken the next step. Also, we are woefully light on NFL experience at the WR position. Besides Stevie, Brad Smith is the only one with much to speak of. Then there is TJ. On talent and potential, IMHO, TJ gets another year at least. Having said that, if the coaches think highly of the remaining WRs and if a trade nets us a good LB or OL, I will support a trade.
  21. She has fake b00bs. Fakes are a turn off. Give me some smaller but naturals ones anyday.
  22. Marginally better than the original statement which simply made no sense. However, I would say the coach should play whoever gives us the best chance to win more games this season.
  23. This is a great subject to be discussed with good friends over a beer. My (brief) take is that society has changed drastically over the past 20 years. Kids are raised in a hyper-stimulated environment where it is considered necessary for them to be 'doing something'. As a child, if the if a child is sitting with his toys, parents may think ' oh he has nothing to do, put on the tv for him'. Then it is tablet PCs or phone or internet. CONstant stimulation to a point where a grown up kid is always expecting to be 'doing something'. Contrast that with 30 years back when I grew up. If I sat around, I would find something to do such as read, play with friends, call a friend for long conversations, hang out with friends, go for walks etc. I suppose I may have been 'bored' a lot but people around us never made a big deal of it and parents didnt label it as boredom. They did not think that it was their obligation to 'do something about it'. Yet, these days there is a terrible malady of said 'boredom' which leads to undesirable pursuits such as alcohol, drugs, violence etc. This current situation is really really sad in that the value of a human life has been reduced to a few minutes of 'entertainment' where kids cannot distinguish real life from video games or movies. I am not going to blame guns or parenting on this. That is a different discussion.
