How will Henderson hold up this week against Wake?

That was my thought as well after seeing those stats. -
Oscar Pistorius found not guilty of murder

Didn't expect that either. Seeing some reactions of people who have appointed themselves judge, jury and executioner reminded me of the old movie '12 Angry Men'. I am not a lawyer but it appears that the prosecution couldn't provide a convincing enough case in favor of first-degree murder. -
Beware Knowshon Moreno
Fan in Chicago replied to DallasBillsFan1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think you watched the comeback DVD one too many times That is true no matter what. I feel better about us stopping the run this year, than I did the last few. Moreno, Wallace, Wake need to be contained. -

That can be explained by the super talent we had at T for most of those years. -
Cam Newton's bizarre press conference

Which would stand to reason as you have never displayed cannibalistic tendencies Reminds me of a WR we recently let go -
Isn't that level lethal? I think BAC > 0.3 can be potentially life threatening. Maybe some Doc on here can set me straight

Not to mention entirely meaningless, unless I am missing some gaming code speak. -

Certainly looked blazed to me. Looked a bit beyond simply immaturity. -

That is true about JPP's performance dropping off. The general point you are making us that Henderson may not have been tested fully yet. He did get between against the Bears but I am willing to give him some leeway considering it was the rookie's first NFL game. Can you imagine if CyrusK had come up to NFL speed as Henderson has ? Our line would be near elite. EJ and the WRs will be challenged with man coverage. Again, great test for our O. I hope Henderson can handle Wake on his own. Hey, we are talking about hope, right? -

Henderson blanked out JPP in the first pre-season game. I know it was 'just' preseason but at least we have some point of reference. I agree with the extra protection and chipping ideas. As the game goes along, see if Henderson can handle Wake without help. Good test for the rook. -
Always look at matchups and here is my preliminary take on it (have only watched bits of the Dolphins game so going with some stats): Bills on O: + Bills WR > Dolphins secondary +/- EJ looked good so last game but had nice pocket to work from. Not sure how he will do with smaller and collapsing pocket +/- Bills RB vs LB: With our variety at RBs, Bills have the edge but their LBs are very good too. +/- Bills OL vs Dolphins DL: This holds the key to the game. If our tackles hold and Wood controls the line, we will win Dolphins likely will come with man coverage and pressure off the edges. if tackles hold up and we can set up screens/ crossing routes, Bills will do fine. Chandler, Watkins should Bills on D: + Bills DBs vs WRs: Wallace, Hartline are good and will be a handful. After a decent performance against the Bears WRs, I see Bills holding the advantage +/- Moreno vs LBs: Moreno had a good game but Spikes is on fire, we get Bradham back. + Tannehill vs DL and DB: I think Tannehill will see a lot of pressure from the front 4 and their OL isn't suited to hold up against this constant pressure - Bills penalties: have to get these under control. There were some bad calls on Sunday, but going back to last year the inopportune penalties were driving me nuts. Bills have HF advantage also. If Bills can be disciplined and not over-anxious, Bills should have the edge

Pegula should take a controlling interest in TBD. But seriously, I used to contribute long back and SDS - if you need it, just let me know.

EJ isn't good enough? Not just another EJ thread.
Fan in Chicago replied to stevestojan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
he asked for good TEs. That is one depressing list starting with the great Lonnie Johnson in the early 1990s. Thinking through the years, the Bills have done a pi$$ poor job drafting TEs. -
Agree. I have seen some arguments that he is a veteran and doesn't need to be there. But I think it is a matter of focus and team chemistry. Maybe he is just getting long in the tooth, but if he practiced with the team all week, he would have given people one less reason to call him out.

Please don't remind me. Or the game where Romo threw 5 INTs on Monday Night Football and still won ?

Week 2 predictions: Squish the Fish
Fan in Chicago replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Fair points all but especially the bolded one. I don't think the Bills have done much consistently enough to look past ANY opponent. Given the momentum things others have pointed out, the pressure will be more on the Bills to win it considering it is a home game. We have one elite tackle and one potential star. This week will tell a lot about how good they really are. Wake and co. will get pressure, what matters is how the Bills handle it. Hope the game unfolds as it did vrsus the Bears - close one with the Bills winning in the end. I am predicting a 27-23 Bills win. -
Single handedly raises the quality of the Jets franchise. Perhaps DWhitner can learn a lesson or two.

Bills at Bears Postgame

I was getting annoyed due to some quotes like: "Twenty points .... is about a half-day's work against a team like the Bills, who major in going 6-10." "And against the Buffalos of the world -- and there simply aren't many patsies on the Bears schedule ....." -

Much will depend on how the OL and EJ handle pressure. This will be a different week and I doubt EJ has the type of clean pocket he so enjoyed against the Bears. On O, the game plan needs to be different from the one against the Bears. Continue huddling, long drives will help wear down their pass rush. This would be a great week to perfect the screen. -

I don't know if I should be happy that Wilbon is ragging on Cutler or be mad at the basic premise of the article. The angle is that the Bills are a lowly team, a doormat of the NFL - how dare you lose to a team such as the Bills ? While much of that belief and image is true due to the recent history, a reporter and writer needs to tone down the rhetoric particularly in the beginning of the season when teams are sometimes quite different from those in the previous seasons.
