  1. Depends on who loses. If SD loses, it will be because they had to play across 3 times zones and in the rainy weather. If Bills lose, it is because 'they are who we thought they were'.
  2. Neither of us has any way to confirm that.
  3. " that speaks to his competitive spirit. He is always trying to be the best on the field. blah blah "
  4. Makes sense. But note that the opportunities provided to a top pick are also because the scouting department rated him highly in the first place. If they pegged Cousins as a low(er) round pick compared to RGIII, it was based on their own evaluation of the talent. That evaluation won't suddenly go away unless the two players project vastly differently in training camp, games etc. This was the case with CyrusK and SeantrealH – it was evident that CyrusK is going to need a lot more time and effort so irrespective of their draft position, Seantreal is starting (albeit at different position than CyrusK was drafted for). I am glad the Bills did not fall into this trap and forced CyrusK into the lineup. Their thinking probably is that an experienced underperformer like ChrisW is better than him at this point. That being said, RGIII may be done as a Washington starter if Cousins stays healthy and performs anywhere close to the likes of Russell Wilson or Kaepernick.
  5. Good stuff. Watkins' versatility gives Hackett a lot of options. Undoubtedly, opposing Ds will get this tape and devise ways to cover him. But that will only provide more opportunities for Woods, Williams and Chandler.
  6. milquetoast
  7. Decent pass by an average NFL QB ? I disagree completely. It was an extremely well thrown pass and took a terrific PBU from Grimes to have it fall incomplete. Frankly, I am not sure what over-arching argument you are really making. Would it make you happy for the other person to say it was not a 'perfect' pass ? If so, then you are truly arguing words and semantics than the point of the discussion. You are sounding like an argumentative person who is nit-picking single words just to point the finger and say the other person is wrong.
  8. Forget the useless stuff like matchups, roster quality and how we are winning. 2008, 2011 (2008+3) and now 2014 (2011+3). It is this numerology that has me tempering my enthusiasm.
  9. Not if it is intentional. I just made a fake one
  10. I think by the time week 4 rolls along, it will be JJ Watt who will be doing the worrying.
  11. Hmm... a double twist. What a tangled web we wave
  12. So would you say we beat a better team in Week 1 ?
  13. I am going to go with a L @ Lions. As good as the Texans D is, I just have a hard time seeing us lose to a Fitz led team, especially with the Bills playing so well on D.
  14. Reality check coming up this weekend. - Ryan Mathews is out so not much sting in their running game though Woodhead has given Bills headaches in the past - Gates, Gates and more Gates. I still have little confidence in the Bills covering TEs. I anticipate playing time for Spikes will be limited and focus will be on limiting Gates - Charger WRs are decent (and big) so hope Graham, Gilmore have big games - I am worried more about their D than their O. If we keep our O unpredictable and balanced, we can keep possession for long. SD kept the ball for 42+ minutes against Seattle. We cannot let that happen and have to sustain drives HF advantage will be needed. Too close to call but being a homer, I will predict a Bills win 27-23
  15. New one - "Don't blame Hackett, blame Marrone! I'd like to see them go for the juggler"
  16. TJ Graham is no longer with this team
  17. Maybe an unpopular opinion but I think yesterday's loss is squarely on Luck. The coaches trusted him enough to make that call and he threw a terrible INT. But I agree with you that a FG would have not been flashy but would have put the Colts up by 10 and likely sealed a victory
  18. Luck giften yesterday's game to the Eagles. Apart from the Trent Richardson fumble, that INT was the single most important play of the game. Luck made a critical mistake yesterday directly leading to their loss.
  19. Packers DL is getting blown off the ball. Jets O are totally controlling the line of scrimmage.
  20. The Bills have arrived
  21. The Big Cat, Jauronimo - Guys, what on earth are you arguing about ? I just read the last 2-3 pages and frankly don't have a clue what you are mad at each other about. Can't you just kiss shake hands and make up ? We have a bunch of mammals to beat this Sunday. Signed, Self appointed mediator
