  1. How many times has that happened ? Compare that to the times he has diagnosed a play and made a stop at or behind the line of scrimmage. He has shown passion and being a lower round pick, worked his way up. He needs to continue being a Bill. Agreed Safe to say that Whaley knows linebackers.
  2. In the past we would be on the other side of that equation. We were the sad sacks who would lose several games by less than three. The ones about who Belichick said once, 'tough to play, easy to beat'. The ones who didn't know how to win. The view is decidedly greener from this side, no ? Or do you just not want to enjoy the win and record ?
  3. Get throw and catch. Should have gone for 2
  4. Bwaaaahaaaaa. Another run
  5. Just two scores up with more than a quarter to go. This is where the Pats* nail games shut.
  6. With the receiving power we have and two starting RBs out, we don't pass!
  7. Can we please not run on every first down
  8. Charles with the recovery
  9. They may have Pryor spy and cheat to cover Watkins leaving opportunities for Woods and Hogan.
  10. R.I.P. didn't realize he also played with John Mayall
  11. For the teams with confirmed or marginal (Cutler, Matt Ryan) franchise QBs, a significant percent of the cap is tied up at that position. For better or for worse, the Bills do not have this 'problem' and appear to be a few years away from it. Till that time, it is fair game to spread the dollars to the rare skills and pro-bowl type performers. Dareus certainly fits that mold however his past off-field troubles stop me from advocating insane guaranteed dollars. As NoSaint advocates, it is in the Bills interest to stretch his contract and tag him till he proves himself to be trouble free. That may not be a luxury the Bills have as there are a lot of variables that come into play - Dareus holding out, other teams willing to overlook his troubles and still pay him etc. Be that as it may, I think $51 M guaranteed for any position is ridiculous.
  12. Nice pic and thanx for sharing. Even makes SDS look like a nice guy. BTW, why no Bills gear ?
  13. Tim Anderson ?
  14. Lol. Who can turn that down?
  15. The Vikings are the #7 D so some of our O struggles were not surprising. In no way does it excuse some of the miscues, but 4 of our games so far have been against top-10 Defenses (Lions, Vikes, Dolphins, Pats*) and have won three out of them. There is enough to point fingers at but not every team in the NFL wins pretty.
  16. The spirit of JR's post has some merit though. I am sick of Brady always going deep on a 3rd and long because he knows most of the times he is going to get a PI or defensive holding penalty. While a 10 yarder will still get them the first down, a spot foul turns what could be a good D stand into a big advance for the O. Changes the perspective, negates the good the D did on the first two downs and could change momentum.
  17. Tough question but if his TE/WR skills are deemed useful, I can think of Larry Dean or Lee Smith. Mayyybe ....
  18. Words fail me. Umm.. get 'er dun ?
  19. I think we are all talking ourselves into painting a terrible picture of Marrone. For sure there are items which point to him being a control freak but I am not sure that trait directly translates into being a bad/loser coach. I think about this thread as an argument with the wife - when it is heated, we pick up minor items of complaint and declare the other to be a a** or worse. In reality, we aren't that at all but rather given to a few errors. In the same way, Marrone may have stumbled a few times, but the more we discuss it and the more we dig deep, the worse he looks. I guarantee that a couple of back to back wins will dampen this thread.
  20. A program he eventually turned around, no ?
  21. And that variability is a constant
  22. Like the Pats* did this past Sunday with Chandler ?
