  1. Why do you say that? Orton has been throwing behind him all game
  2. With season on the line, it is time to bench Orton
  3. good reflexes by Marrone calling TO.
  4. Wow!! Just wow. 3 and out after that long drive by Cleveland
  5. Can the O get their heads out of their rears? Please be creative
  6. This is one of the reasons why we were trying to run too much earlier in the season in the RZ
  7. Orton quite inaccurate today
  8. Looonnngg drive. Will bv good early victory if we hold them to FG
  9. I know this knock on evaluation of O talent has taken a life of its own on this message board. But save for Urbik, is there one positive proof that this is true ? We had a lot of new personnel on the OL. Tinkering in the pre-season and early games is to be expected. That Richardson would be bad at the LG spot was not a known fact but I am wiling to grant that marrone should have evaluated that better. But who else ? Williams and Goodwin ? Our OL had not afforded a lot of pass protection so it did not give Goodwin time to gain separation and go downfield before the QB had to make a play. And that is in games he has been healthy. Williams just is invisible on the field. If there is one thing that Orton does well, it is spreading the ball around. He routinely hits 6-8 receivers in the first half. So, there is little chance that Williams and Goodwin are roaming around freely. So, I am still waiting for compelling evidence of this so called Offensive ineptness on Marrone's part.
  10. I can see where you are coming from even though I don't agree with your opinion about this movie. There have been many a movie where I walked out thinking ' what the heck did the critics and public see in this?' Notably ' Gravity', ' dances with wolves', 'Super 8' come to mind.
  11. Aw, come on now. That was a quintessential Spielberg flick with action, kids-in-peril, humor ("Objects in mirror are closer than they appear" "When dinosaurs ruled the earth", the nod to Unix), good sets. The very definition of popcorn flick. Loved it.
  12. Second to a Bills win, that is my fondest desire for this Sunday. (especially as the wifey is out of town this weekend) I don't know, man. Maybin wasn't an NFL player but didnt open his mouth and didn't do anything detrimental in the locker room. (T)withner is just a moron with talent.
  13. But why target Marrone for the ineptitude of the offense ? As for players in the doghouse, Robert Woods was in his doghouse in the summer but Woods performance in games has indicated that he is a bit mercurial. He has the talent but does appear to dog it sometimes. Which vindicates Marrone. I grant you that the OL staffing has been less than perfect but then again no second year coach can be expected to be perfect. If you stil insist on blaming Marrone for the O, then you should give him credit for the top-5 D and the ST.
  14. Meh. Looks like they moved away from the nature-cant-be-contained theme to a a simple monster movie. Forgive me if I don't quiver with excitement.
  15. He is probably busy bashing Marrone and Luck.
  16. For sure I don't think he treads water. So if I have to point out the flaws, I would choose some occasional clock management, too many penalties and sticking with Hackett in the offseason. But that is not worth getting rid of him. For incompetence, see Mike Smith. For the life of me I can't understand how he continues to be a HC. Every season, I watch the occasional Falcons game and am sure that buffoon will be let go in the offseason and every offseason I have been proven wrong.
  17. I stay within the $40-$75 range and there I prefer The Balvenie and Macallan. My friends like Laphroaig for its peatiness. Depends on your tastes. I will have a couple tomorrow, hope you do too.
  18. In the long run, we are all dead. Doesn't mean I cannot enjoy a nice single malt today.
  19. Agreed on all counts. I have no reason to dislike Pettine and no reason to like (W)hitner
  20. IMHO, Hackett is as good as gone. There is already rumours that Marrone is calling plays. I have said it before that having rookies at HC, OC,and QB all in one year was a critical mistake. An experienced OC would have made a world of difference. But, Marrone has kept the team together. He has not been perfect but he has been more right than wrong and I would like to see him coach with a better OC and QB. IMHO, Hackett is as good as gone. 21. Exactly which part of my post are you disagreeing with me ? So you are crediting the defense for the 6 wins but blaming Marrone for the 5 losses ? Is that the gist of what you are saying ?
  22. In this game: - Penalties were down - Team was not distracted by events of past week - Has less practice time - Came out and whipped the rear of a division foe Can the pitchforks be kept away for a bit ?
