Get this man out of here. He has no place on this team. It was a wrong decision to get him last year and is a worse decision to continue keeping him.

I dont know what he said exactly but if you communicated that accurately, its a rather stupid thought to draft quantity over quality. You absolutely need playmakers at key positions and you dont get that by playing the law of averages. You need to get your playmakers in the top half of the draft and get quantity in the lower picks where you get role players/STers

Not really a crusade as much as saying that there are some fundamental flaws in his coaching style which makes it extremely difficult to win many games. Besides being stubborn about fitting his scheme to the players, the lack of attention to detail (calls coming in late), penalties and inability to match complexity with player ability are items which are tough to overcome no matter how good the roster is. I think the D will be better than last year due to the upgraded roster. But I really worry about the O. Even if TT takes a step up, the FO hasnt done him any favors on the receiving end. Praying that Goodwin will remain healthy or that one of Salas/Little/Lewis will hopefully become a competent #3 is really poor planning. If Watkins or Woods get hurt, we are hosed on offense no matter how many good RBs you have, We may have a slightly better record due to the upgraded D, but it will truly be surprising if we are good enough, as a team, to make the playoffs.

Spikes should never have been let go. There was no solid contingency plan at the time and his vet presence would have helped last season. Good to have him back.

That's the only reason I am rooting for him.

Trent Edwards never was an aggressive QB even before that hit. He was always checking down and not using all of the field. He was accurate but played it safe. He was also too obvious with his hand signals. Even I could tell when he was checking to a run play. These were some habits which limited his ability to succeed. That hit against Arizona exacerbated his issues but he did not have TT's attitude of looking for the deep ball. That hit just hastened the end of his career. As for TT, I am afraid he is a bit too cavalier with his own body. He is not built like a Cam Newton so need to be extra careful to avoid hits. Get rid of the ball and when scrambling, dont look for that extra yard if it means gettting hit.

Actually, much as I dislike Ryan's first year (regressed D, too many penalties, late play calls, poor timeout management), I am with eball on this one. I loved Mario as a player and a person prior to last year but the former surely took a hit this past season. This is also not the first time this has happened and Houston fans had complained about a similar attitude issue (if the D is not to his preferences). You can try to fault Ryan's motivational skills, but there is no way for us to know that. Again, for all of Ryan's faults, motivational problems havent surfaced in the past so based on history also, I am apt to put more of the blame on MarioW than on Ryan. Having said that, I still am extremely skeptical about the upcoming season because chronic issues with Ryan's coaching (as above), the lack of receiving threats on O, inattention to the right side of the OL are highly likely to doom the upcoming season.

Which, in and of itself, does not prove any disagreement between the two. It could be spun as a GM giving the coach everything he needs to succeed. For all his faults, Ryan did preside over drafting some pretty good D players while in NY. I dont know the power structure with that organization at the time, but we can speculate that Ryan had a hand in those drafts as well. But, the issue is that we went too much in favor of the D leaving the O largely unattended (unless one is expecting a 6th round WR to magically take over the #2 spot in his rookie season). Before anyone asks, the Bills should have 'over paid' for Slauson and drafted a WR no later than the 3rd round. Lest anyone missed the obvious point, the receving threats are woefully thin. Not much depth after Clay and heck we dont even know if there is a legitimate #3 or #4 WR on the roster. I realize that Roman is run-heavy and thats not necessrily a bad thing even on a 'pass happy league'. But that doesnt mean that the starting receiving corps should be as badly ignored as it has been. And no, I am not expecting some good fortune to drop a good WR in our laps post-June 1. That is hope, not a strategy.

We dont need these UDFAs if our line looks like Glenn-Incognito-Wood-Slauson-Henderson with Mills, Miller and Velasco as depth. Thats about as solid as you are going to get in the NFL today. I seriously doubt the WR position is set for the regular season. We really need at least one if not 2 WRs. Unless you think Listenbee is ready for prime time. Look to the Slauson-type cuts which we can jump on.

He brings experience and leadership too. Plus, even though he is more experienced at G, the fact that he can play RT and maybe C is a big plus. Henderson, Velasco and Miller can fight it out but the overall line quality and depth will be a lot better on that right side.

I am normally not one to post a 'get 'er done' thought but I would like the Bills to consider Slauson for RG. Still has some tread, brings solidity and leadership. Velasco notwithstanding, I would still kick the tires

Of course and historically I haven't been negative in my outlook. But this past season's D, number of penalties, problems with headsets points towards a HC whose approach is too lax. Compound that with the rather 'meh' offseason and I really don't see how this coming season can be meaningfully better unless we hit on 3-4 draft picks.
