  1. There was a lot of discussion last year in this board and the consensus indeed trended towards Ryan being a Pegula decision coaxed by Brandon
  2. Yes he looked bad today but today was a rare bad day for him. To add to it, there was zero pressure on Fitz. Gilmore is still a pretty good corner, maybe not top 5 though
  3. Against a Fitzpatrick QBed team . He looked like Tom Brady out there today. I am waiting for the excuse machines for Rex Ryan. Who is the scapegoat now?
  4. At this point, which teams do you think the Bills are capable of beating? Browns? Who else?
  5. WR depth was definitely a concern going into the season. Not re-signing even guys like Hogan was a poor roster move. In fact, Whaley has an unenviable track record of getting rid of guys before their replacement is in place. Fred Jackson, Hogan, Spikes, Bradham....
  6. Quite a relief to see this game end. I was tired of seeing the Jets offense all evening
  7. I agree with the first paragraph as far too many posters here forgot how TT went cold in several quarters last season. In some game, he was a QB of halves with one half bad and the second exceptional. I too wanted this season to go by to make a final judgment on him but I too was not sold on TT as several posters were. The good thing is the way his contract is structured. In a way, extending him achieved one more thing - it kept him happy and removed an excuse of him 'playing way below his contract value'. One thing I do NOT agree with is the '2nd year' guy. He had the luxury of sitting behind Flacco and has almost one full season as starter. I am not willing to give him the excuse of being a 2nd year guy cos he isnt. Having said that, there are several things to note: - This was just one game so far and we dont know if his struggles are chronic or just a matter of rust/"one of those days" - The FO did not do him any favors in the weapons department. I mean, did we even look like a 3rd WR was playing (yeah yeah I know about the 3 recevier bunch formations). Ignoring the WR department is really really maddening. Please dont anyone tell me about Dez Lewis, Listenbee, Salas. I mean real, proven WRs which a maturing QB needs - TT and Roman saw what can happen when an opposition constrains him to the pocket and also dares him to exploit the middle. In short, bad things happened. This will be repeated by opposing DCs ofcourse and how Roman+TT prepare for that challenge will define this season for the Bills - Ryan is very loyal to his QBs and it is unlikely that he will bench TT unless Sunday's ineptness continues week after week
  8. Not sure if this was sarcasm but this team is NOT one player away from the playoffs, no matter who that player is.
  9. After his initial struggles with injuries, Eric Wood came around pretty nicely. He is not dominant at his position but is more than adequate. Plus the fact that he was drafted by the Bills and is choosing to continue (and end ?) his career with Buffalo is a big plus in my book. This is good news.
  10. Signed up for $100 and waiting for opening day.
  11. You make good arguments. But I also think there is no one theory that fits all cases. No amount of coaching would have helped a Ryan Leaf, Jamarcus Russell or Manziel. There are some inherent traits that a player (esp a QB) needs in addition to natural talent - hard work, demeanor, school and college training (mechanics). Some of this could be re-coached away in the NFL. But hard work and maturity cannot be coached. Also, some QBs may indeed sit and be better (Rodgers, Cousins) whereas others can step in and do well. Several already in the posts before mine. Derek Carr, Bortles seem to be coming along well without the instant smash that Russell Wilson was. Different strokes for different folks is what I am really saying. The problem with the Goff situation is that he is relegated to being the #3 and not the #2. Is this Goff being totally unready or a function of Fisher's 'motivational coaching' ? No one will know for sure. But it is clear that the Rams staff did a poor job of targeting him and giving up a king's ransom. Also could have been a marketing ploy with the move. Would they have been better off keeping the picks and selecting a Paxton Lynch ? Time will tell.
  12. If Tyrod plays every game and continues his development, we go 9-7. If he misses a few games, 7-9
  13. Honest question as i dont follow college sports. If thats true, why did he last till the 6th round ?
  14. Wow that would be quite a hit to their defense. Any idea what is the career-ending reason ? You say his injury isnt good either - implying that there is some other reason for the hastened end.
  15. Game comes naturally to him but he doesnt know what he is doing ? Showcasing him for a trade to the Vikings
  16. Yes it is in the dropdown box !! And yes, she for sure wont need it. This makes my day. In the past, I only subscribed to DirecTV during football season and had to pay 6 months of basic service for $50-ish so this saves me $300. Nice !! EDIT - I didnt read through the thread so was even more pleasantly surprised when the student subscription is only $24.99x4. I am soooo happy. But then again, my daughter is a senior and I could have been doing it for the past 3 years instead of spending the extra $400. Good thing is my second daughter started school this year so I am set for at least 4 years at this pricing. Thanx all !
  17. Sorry for the stupid question but - I have two daughters in college. Can I have one of them sign up for the ST streaming for $200 and use that login to watch the games on my laptop?
  18. Demetress Bell wasnt half bad. But besides that, yup.
  19. Depends. Do you think we are in the business of winning or being the NFL's farm team ? Sorry to rag on you but every time there is a major injury in the NFL, someone asks a question if one of our players should be traded to that team. CardaleJones is not ready, we need a proven backup. If we trade a key backup like EJ, I will truly believe that Whaley has lost his marbles.
  20. Between the irrational optimism and predictions of doom which are rampant on this board, I love this post. No matter what it costs, the key is to enjoy your drink. Drink up and thanks for the picker-upper
  21. Legitimate question - if we get a good offer, do you trade Dareus ? In the past, the Bills traded away Marshawn Lynch for repeated transgressions to head off any future off-field issues affecting team performance. MD is clearly their best player on defense but needs to be on the field for that.
  22. A lot can happen in the next few months, but I am pretty sure EJ has no illusions of grandeur about a starting role elsewhere. So, unless the coaches/FO feel that Cardale is good enough to be the #2 going into next season, I dont know why EJ cannot stay with the Bills as a backup.
  23. Fine and I think no one is denying thatEJ put the Bills in a big hole against Jax. But to say that CJones is more ready to be a backup than EJ is just not logical. That is the premise of this thread. Dont use your EJ dislike to shift the goal posts
  24. Guess you forgot this game which doesnt exactly fit your wording but those 5 Romo interceptions still didnt stop the COwboys from winning. http://www.dallascowboys.com/news/2015/12/24/tbt-despite-romo%E2%80%99s-turnovers-last-buffalo-trip-among-garrett%E2%80%99s-favorites
