  1. Not to belabour the point, but it's almost apples and oranges. Teams would be looking to TT as a potential starter and Glennon imho would be fighting for a #2 spot. So technically the price would determine who signs first but difference between starter and backup make them different markets Careful what you wish for. Trust me, Glennon us much worse than TT and don't even like TT
  2. Not disagreeing. I read you saying 'if the price is right' and took it to mean that a team may decide between Taylor and Glennon based on their price. Glennon is way worse than TT
  3. You are talking about the Bills roster, not just any roster. is that correct ?
  4. That is lazy logic. If any team wanting a 'bridge' QB waits for the Bills to cut Taylor, they run the risk of losing him to another team. Said team would rather bargain with the Bills and secure him outright. My total WAG is that we get a 3rd rounder for him See my opinion above
  5. I think in this case price is irrelevant. I have seen Glennon playing and am of the opinion that he will be fighting to be the #2 on any team. Tyrod still could be a bridge for some teams. Hence, a team would be more willing to 'over pay' for Tyrod than pay for Glennon. And this is coming from a guy who doesnt particularly like TT.
  6. I am not entirely averse to the idea of picking 2 QBs with our first rounders. In addition to the competitive aspect, say both of them are close, we can flip them for a high pick in 2-3 years time.
  7. My point is that the separation stat is nebulous and doesn’t tell the full story regarding the effectiveness of an offense. Using that stat to hype up or beat down a QB is misleading. Seeing what I did in the Superbowl, I agree with your points regarding the Eagles WRs. Didn’t see enough of them in the regular season to make a broader judgment. The fact still is that, in the Superbowl, there were contested catches and plays in which the Eagles WRs outplayed the DBs. But Foles was on fire. He was attempting those types of throws and putting them in tight windows (Clement TD). Overall, I think a lot goes into the effectiveness of the passing offense and I dislike posts (not yours) that seek to pull out a single statistic and attempt to make broad judgments. The Bills suffered more from a patchwork and reactive approach towards the WR position mixed with some clear mistakes (Watkins, Woods)
  8. And yet, the Eagles WRs ranked#26 on the list above.
  9. McD appears to be a control freak to me. Do you think he would have allowed Whaley to go against something he strongly believed in ? he had several months before the draft to evaluate QB or review and critique Whaley's year-long assessments
  10. Yes, exactly. Bills have historically over-thought this decision or treated the QB position as any other when QB shouldnt purely be selected/not selected based on the value scale used for other positions
  11. Fair point but McD was an influence in the last draft when we did not pick a QB (not counting Peterman here). Many times it is about the organization as a whole and not the GM by himself
  12. Sorry to break up your love-fest with Kirby, but as an independent observer, I dont think both your positions are that far apart.
  13. Also, one more college season changes a lot of things. waiting for a particular year because that class may be stronger is not the prudent strategy. Also, even within 'weak' classes, there are good QBs to be had. It is all about who you pick. Given the bills track record of dilly dallying on the QB decision, I would also be very very disappointed if they didnt pick one in the first round. I thought they should have picked one in the last draft as well but thats water under the bridge now.
  14. The fickle and ignorant Pat's** fans will get what they deserve. BB is a great coach who can transcend lack of talent. But McDaniels is no BB. He is nothing without Brady. I really hope he replaces BB because we will all love seeing his arrogant, self-centered and unprofessional a** get kicked by the Bills twice a year.
  15. Did he really say that ?? I think he needs to be fired for his performance yesterday. Absolute embarrassment
  16. I fully agree. You have to have the horses, on both sides of the ball, to be aggressive. Way too many weaknesses on the Bills this year on O and D which forces a general conservativeness
  17. Doug Pedersen - one of the best coaching jobs in a long time
  18. You can say that again. I officially hate him after today's game
  19. Both could be true and is the best situation for them to pick a QB. Allows Eli to ride off into the sunset with the Giants after another 1-2 seasons and the young buck is ready by that time. I for one, do not rule out teams like Steelers who maybe in the market, under the radar to picking a Rd 1 QB.
  20. It is entirely fair to state your opinion on Luck. The last sentence was not required. And he is one of the long standing , respected members of this form. I don't agree with calling anyone a moron, esp posters like him.
  21. Even ignoring your rather ironic choice of words, you need to be careful disparaging this particular poster.
  22. That is a lot particularly for the reasons crayonz wrote about. For that price, we should be able to move up and grab aQB from this years draft, no?
  23. Exactly why I won't be watching. Have seen this story way too often.
  24. I never said you advocated firing him now. You said he will be on the hot seat. If you are convinced the roster will be weak next season, how will changing from Frazier to Butler help?
