  1. By that logic, this thread itself is disrespectful to Gailey
  2. I do agree with everything and will add that we will need interior OL and WR help which can be in round 2-3.
  3. We can take a painful walk down memory lane when I hated the McGahee and Spiller picks from the bottom of my heart. I will admit however that I was in the 'lets wait and see' camp regarding tWitner and McKelvin. History obviously proved you right on those two but the idea itself wasn't as flawdd as it was with the RBs. That they turned out to be poor players lacking instinct was a knock on the scouts. Be that as it may, I would like to think that things are better now but you must admit that besides the obvious positions, it is always who you pick rather than which position is chosen. Dareus and even Shaq are DL picks but really haven't proven themselves to be impact players worthy of a Rd 1 pick.
  4. We wont have the draft capital to trade up that high But we really havent done that for a while now besides Tre, who looks to be a great pick. I do agree that RBs can be had in the 4th or lower rounds. Need the OL though else a shiny new QB, WR and RB can be worth David Carr.
  5. That Brandt dude couldnt shut his trap. His yapping was like a drunk low IQ jock who doesnt really have a clue about life in general. I admit, I had the TV on mute for long stretches of time as I couldnt bear to listen to that IQ-reducing banter.
  6. Honest question - what have you seen this pre-season to convince you that AJM is the best option ?
  7. Good post all around. Yours too, welcome to the board. As for the OL, the first few games will allow us to see if the line gels or becomes jello. Even with limited game experience, opposing defenses wont attempt to blitz the QB on every down as they will for JA. Start Peterman, limit what is asked of him and keep him away from having to throw outs. Defense is another concern as they will have to bear the load of keeping us in the game while this entire OL and QB situation shakes out.
  8. IMO, here is what should happen: - fire Castillo - Start Teller at LG - Feature a run-heavy game. Use Murphy a lot - tell the WRs to fight for every ball - Start Peterman and give him a very conservative game plan and a short leash - protect the ball at the expense of big plays - If IntercePeterman shows up for two consecutive games, give him the hook and don't look back ever again
  9. I don't see how a "ready" QB can do better with this (lack of) protection
  10. With that attitude, especially with respected posters around here, your time around here may be mighty short. I suggest an attitude adjustment sooner rather than later. Nobody will get upset at you if you state an opinion respectfully and back it up with facts or logic. So far, you have brought neither to the table.
  11. Yep, the man is on a downward spiral. I care about the public's safety first and then his. Separate him from all possible instruments of violence.
  12. I don't have a horse in this race but don't forget his performance in the brutal snow game against the Colts.
  13. No. I seriously doubt that. No team is that stupid to hire that lazy man even as a DC. I have heard him calling games and his personality does NOT come through. At least if you meant that in a positive way. His analysis is really pedestrian. Compare him to Romo and you can see the stark contrast
  14. Kindergarten is a language ?
  15. What are you babbling about ?
  16. So I woke up this morning and my morning news feed from Google said "Rosen impresses in first NFL action". I can either believe that title or you guys who watched the game. ? Of all the young QBs I really want to succeed (just to make the league fun for the next 10 years), Rosen is not one of them. Call me a hater if you like.
  17. Who is this"everyone" you speak of?
  18. Exactly my feelings, add Carr, Goff, Wentz to that list. Would be great for the game of football if many of these youngsters become good QBs. To re-iterate - as long as Allen and the Bills are the best.
  19. Meanwhile elsewhere in the NFL, Darnold still isn't in camp and he is officially a holdout: https://www.sny.tv/jets/news/jets-josh-mccown-hopes-sam-darnold-reports-to-camp-soon/287765516
  20. Credit EJ with not going off the deep end, indulging in self destructive behavior or doing anything illegal. Unlike the Ryan Leaf and Manziels of the NFL world, at least he kept his head down and carried out his role. reduced though it may have been.
  21. Nope. Drama queen and too expensive for the position he plays.
  22. You of course realize that your paragraphs can both be true, right?
