Lot of people dislike the Cowboys. The Bills are a great underdog story and the hope by many was that the Cowpokes would be beaten down by a traditionally underachieving team like the Bills. The first half was fairly interesting and probably made for good viewing with the turkey. Several non-Bills fans were texting me about how much they are enjoying the game. Somewhere in those anedoctes lies the story of the high viewership. Plus ALlen looks handsome to the ladies, as my wife would attest.

Is that McShay to Kiper's left (our right) ? Someone should show him this clip and then the Stephen A video from last night Is there any other way to take your post, but the wrong way ?

Story to share - Last night, our family had gone to a restaurant in tiny town called Waco, IL (40+ miles west of downtown Chicago) to celebrate my daughter's 25th birthday. After we were done, we saw a nice nook in the restaurant with a Christmas tree and fireplace so looked around for someone to take our picture (I hate selfies). This dude saw us and walked over and took the phone. Suddenly, I noticed that the fleece he was wearing had a small Bills logo on it. I asked him "Bills fan ???" and we were both pleasantly surprised. Needless to say, the next several minutes were spent in Bills talk as our respective families were waiting around for us to finish yapping about today's game ! (He didnt know about TBD so I asked him to become a member)

How is your family going to handle Thanksgiving?

Friends of ours have invited us over and no one, including my wife, cares much about football let alone the Bills. I am still trying to work out how to watch the game without annoying anyone. -
The curious case of Jared Goff...
Fan in Chicago replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The OP had "...In the article they basically say Goff can only succeed with high end talent around him and a very good OLine and that he struggles when he doesn't have this." to which Don Otreply said that it is the plight of 90% of QBs. I disagree in that I dont think 90% of QBs can only succeed with a great surrounding cast. There are those that can succeed without and another group which cant succeed no matter what. -
Darnold likes to party after a big win
Fan in Chicago replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not to stretch this discussion too much, but I think partying can co-exist with a focused career. Unfortunately, that doesnt hold true for most athletes. -
True enough but really look weak this year esp at QB. I dont think Tomlin has the horses to scheme around that deficiency.

Sean Mcvay opinions?
Fan in Chicago replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
A good coach should be able to adjust strategies and game plans per the evolving roster. McVay has not shown an ability to adjust to anything. It is likely he is just a mind with a couple of bright ideas and limited ability to be flexible. I am surprised how ineffective a Wade Phillips coached Defense was last night. As good as Jackson was last night, the D just did not change throughout the game. -
Pittsburgh ?

I agree with your post in its entirety. Why professional athletes, with a penchant for skirt chasing, get committed early is beyond my understanding. it is said "show me a hot girl, and I will show you a guy who is bored of (... err....) kissing her" -
The curious case of Jared Goff...

90% is an exaggeration. There are elite QBs who make their surrounding cast better and then there are others who are products of a system+ the players in it. Then there are those that are terrible despite good coaches and players. Goff appears to be trending towards that last group. But that group is decidedly < 90% of starting QBs in the NFL. I would argue that Prescott is a function of a stud OL, good RB and couple of good receiving options. I dont think he can do well with one of those pieces missing. -
I just switched it off. Was looking forward to the SNF and MNF games and both turned out to be boring affairs

Safe to say the luster has worn off McVay. Goff never had it , imo.

This is an embarrassing display by the Rams. Not that I expected then to win, but boy this is a terrible display by the D and O.

Josh Allen highest ranked ELO in AFC East now...

Much like the Pats** did against Seahawks in the Superbowl, correct ? -
Josh Allen highest ranked ELO in AFC East now...

While yes they don't have a good record against teams with winning records, today was heartening as the O played very well against the #4 D. I was frankly skeptical ahead of today's game given the O's (esp Allen) struggkes against teams with win records, but I feel a lot better right now than I did yesterday -

Very nice! On pace for 1300 yards for the (regular) season. That's really good.
