  1. With the choices you offer, I would get Flacco due to his experience and keep Barkley till after the draft. If we land a decent backup-quality guy in the latter rounds, jettison Barkley.
  2. Positional flexibility undoubtedly went into his evaluation.
  3. I am not denying that RB is a need. But if we do nothing more in FA, on draft day, DE is a more premium position than RB for Rd 2. I do want a RB, but in Rd 4 or lower.
  4. Your paragraph 1 and 4 seem contradictory w.r.t RB vs DE. We have a good RB in Singletary and if an equivalently rated player who is a DE were to be available, we undoubtedly should pick the latter. The value to the team would be much higher via pash rushing flexibility compared to a lower round RB who would compete with Singletary for touches. I would prefer drafting said DE and then picking a complementary back to Singletary. To your point about WR, if the BPA is a WR at #54, I would go for him as the impact to the team is higher than a RB. Depending on the skill set, Beasley can be trade bait in this scenario.
  5. I too watched every snap he played and came away with the same opinion. But I decided to keep my analysis to myself so my unsupported thoughts wouldn't remove all doubts about my ignorance
  6. Good we got a OT. 27 yo and a big dude at 330 lb. From wiki he is versatile (but not at RT) "in 2019, He played in all 16 games, starting 12 games, four at left tackle, three at right guard, and five at left guard"
  7. IMO, acquiring a solid RT & RB would complete free agency. If these are added via the draft, then it will be a complete off-season. So far, so good though.
  8. I certainly am. The right side is not very good and I would like us to acquire / draft a RT. There are other needs (no team is going to be fully stacked on all sides of the ball) but fortifying the OL is unfinished business. Its easy to pooh-pooh the fact that there have been only two additions to the offense but there is need there and I hope we take care of at least the protection on draft day(s)
  9. Which would be a cool story if not for the fact that the 2018 Seahawks D had 43 sacks and the 2019 team (with Clowney) had 28 sacks.
  10. Off topic but i beg to differ. Good actor and a better director. His bro, Casey, is a very good and underrated actor. Gone Baby Gone is one of my favs.
  11. More competitive games at the end of the season from the top teams vying for the lone bye spot
  12. Which team would want to trade anything for Kroft ? Perhaps he is tradable from a contractual standpoint, but practically he will have little to no value in the trade market. As for stability at the TE position, I need to see more from Knox to declare victory at that position. I hope the drops were due to his over-exuberance as a rook and not due to a chronic issue. I am always one to tell you that we cannot have superstars at multiple spots on a team but I wouldnt mind acquiring a reliable TE who is at the sunset of his career and can help Allen with a reliable option on critical downs. ("who" you ask ? "I am too lazy to look" I say)
  13. Yea, I dont mind re-signing him as long as its a reasonable 9-10 mil/year range. Still need an EDGE though.
  14. The Spain deal is good and protects the down side but we definitely need to upgrade the OL, especially the right side. We should not be going into next season with the same group, expecting that "gelling" will make the unit better as a whole. Plus we have injury concerns with Morse and Nsekhe. I hope we add at least one starter on the right side and take a Center in rounds 3-5 to groom.
  15. Excellent news ! My hot take is that we will trade Ford and draft a RT.
  16. For a FO that values availability, this is a head scratching move. He should have been cut outright with whatever financial implication that brought.
  17. I agree with the first part but rather have a bigger, battering ram type. Our main goal line weapon is Allen and he shouldn't be. We need a pounder like Jerome Bettis to get the tough yards esp from within the 5 yard line.
  18. I Agree with you about adding two receivers. If we get one WR in free agency, then a draft pick in mid to lower rounds could be a TE. I think that between FA and draft, we will add three.
  19. At the party I was at (and most of the guys are into classic rock), almost everyone liked the show. I heard the same from other friends too. Remember it is a show and not a concert. Visuals are way more important than vocals or quality of music. I think we will see more of the JLos and Shakiras before we see any quality artist.
  20. This is the annual baiting of Bill in NYC thread, isn't it ?
  21. Cut Kroft. He is useless at any salary
  22. CBs don't age well. We are better off drafting one (not necessarily in the first round). Given Norman's age and his performance he should be a hard pass for the Bills.
