MNF: Chiefs at Ravens, 8:20 on ESPN

Further narrowing of the list of best QB from 2018 draft. -
The Allen interview at the bottom was pretty good. His replies were mature and he took blame for turnovers.

Time for Tyler Kroft to step up EDIT: He Did!!!
Fan in Chicago replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
For his receiving and blocking performance in this one game, I take back my criticism of him. If he keeps it up, I will gladly admit I was wrong. -
Cody Ford at LG; Quinton Spain benched
Fan in Chicago replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He didnt really have a choice on several of the plays with a seeming jailbreak happening way too frequently and the D not doing their job either. Yes, he could have gotten rid of the ball a tad sooner on a couple of occasions but we would likely have not seen some of the plays he DID make. Its easy to say he was skittish (you didnt) but he didnt really have much time to throw for a majority of the 4th Q. -

All good. I was really thinking that Kroft will be cut this past off season and was unpleasantly surprised to see his contract re-structure. It will of course be great if he turns out to at at least an average contributor to the O but his track record over the past 3 years has been dismal -

Fan in Chicago replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If you mean about Kroft, then I agree. I have seen very very little to give any confidence in his ability to be available and make a positive impact on the O. If you made a general statement about my posts, do explain. Without Kroft? Absolutely because he does not add anything to the O. But the team in general will benefit from a competent TE especially in those games where the opposing D has a good DB stable. The TE position has been a weakness for far too long. I realize that not all problems can be fixed on a team, but I hope Gilliam can step up as the position is ripe for the taking -

To be a "primary pass catching" TE, he has to be on the field and actually catch passes -

Give me excitement via plays by the likes of lamar Jackson, Allen, Mahomes and Derrick Henry any day over trash talk. The latter does nothing to my enjoyment of the sport. But of course, thats IMO -
Lmao, Tyrod’s gonna start another football game ?

Yea, most thought of him as a bridge but over a stream that runs through their neighborhood park and not as long as Seven Mile Bridge. 😀 -
Anthony Lynn: Backs Tyrod as Starter
Fan in Chicago replied to BullBuchanan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
To think that some on here bemoaned the fact that we didnt hire him for HC ! I wont entirely fault him for holding on to TT a bit longer but the words he used certainly dont help a rookie QB's confidence. I did see bits and pieces of the game and felt Herbert was very poised and made some nice throws. Lynn should realize that Herbert put the team in position to win the game whereas dont-throw-an-interception TT would have allowed the Chiefs to pull away earlier in the game. -
Josh wins Week 2 Angry Run Award on GMFB
Fan in Chicago replied to BisonMan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Poor attempt to throw cold water on this thread. The mention was about an angry run, NOT about the finest play. The fact that he ran over Van Noy is sweet revenge for Allen and pretty embarassing for a LB. Anthoy Barr was also made to look silly in Allen's rookie year. -
To be entirely honest, I had completely forgotten about this guy until I heard his name last night. Not hating at all but he has been a major non-factor in his entire career.

I presume by the"you" that you are a Pats** fan. The parts of your statement that are "true" are events that have already happened. Beyond that, the Bills have racked up Offense, are 2-0 and ran into a well coached team on the road (a team which also did not make it easy for "your" team). Lets talk again after 11/1, shall we ?

McD is a “conservative” coach...
Fan in Chicago replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Changed ? How do you know he is conservative" by nature and not simply game planning based on knowledge of his own personnel ? Those who proclaimed him to be the next Jauron simply were too early in their assessment. Credit McD with trying to recognize his team's shortcomings (and now strengths) and instructing his coordinators accordingly. I was shocked (pleasantly) when Allen continues to sling the ball in the 4th Q attempting to WIN and not play "do not lose". Its been a very long time since I have experienced such exhilaration due to the Bills O. -

Fan in Chicago replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You are bringing the informed nuanced points to the argument. The originator of that narrative was calling McD over conservative with no caveats. Also, in that last drive, a conservative coach wouldn't have allowed those types of throws opting instead to control the ball and march down the field slowly. -

I fully agree with you and am very much aware who started that simplistic "Jauron-esque" narrative. McD needed to be conservative earlier because he knew he did not have the horses or the experienced personnel to be aggressive. If he played conservative this season, then that thought would have some merit. -
