Chan Gailey resigns as OC of Dolphins
Fan in Chicago replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Quite the twist ! Good guy, was a good OV, bad HC. His O success with Fitz shows that the game hasnt passed him by. Perhaps the org commitment to Tua disappointed him. When did he last work with a good QB ? Edit: looked it up . Late 90s with Aikman. -
Youse ready for part deuce?

Imagine Jets fans thinking -
I just cant stand this national attention any more. Its like these media writers dont have a spine and are just parroting the "Bills are the most complete football team" line to anyone who will listen. I am so done. Where have those underdog, fly under the radar, lovable -loser days gone ? I reminisce fondly about those days when my rival friends would call me with fake sympathy. (sigh)

Round 1 Playoff: Colts at Bills - Sat. 1/9 1:05pm
Fan in Chicago replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I am of course a Bills homer - but you should know what to expect this weekend. If the Colts cant keep scoring, this game could be over in the 3rd Q. But yea, a competitive game is more exciting to watch. I have never liked Rivers- even when he was putting up good passing numbers. I understand the Colts getting him as a bridge, but y'all do need a long term solution to go along with the good HC, RB and some skill players. Good of you to stop by, we like respectful posters around these parts. -
So, we're rooting for Pittsburgh next week, right?

You think that was the reason we handily beat them ? -
Black Monday is coming (UPDATE: is here!).....

WFT doesnt have an offense to speak of. Alex Smith last night was pretty bad esp with his hampered movement. While it will be very very enjoyable, WFT doesnt have the horses to win against TB. -
I agree jumping to a big lead early is important always but esp against such a good running team. Reich wont abandon the run till way later so its important to maintain a 2+ score lead. Just make sure the score isnt 35-3 at the half 😀

"We" are only rooting for the Bills every week. 🙂 We are going to run into a good running team at some point (KC ran a lot against us) so we cant hope to avoid such a game. If we are to win the AFC Championship or Superbowl, we have to beat any flavor of team(s). Which we did after the Chiefs game -

Unless "management" asked him to throw the game for a higher draft pick and to sc*** the Giants in the process. (last night's game was an embarrassment to the league and insult to fans) What makes you think that ? IMO, he was a good DC once upon a time and rode some good players to success. But overall he will still be a lazy bum who wouldnt put in the work week after week to game plan for the opponents the way Daboll does for our offense -
Jets - depends on what the ownership thinks of Darnold. If their questionnaire for prospective HCs includes "can you fix Darnold?" then they may give him another year. It is likely they will pick high in 2022 also and hence, they are not pressed to make a decision on Darnold. Though a new HC may say "Darnold is more valuable in a trade so lets get some good picks for him and then go get Fields Dolphins have the toughest decision to make. They could give Tua an offseason to fix his mechanics and also get another vet QB to cover the low side. But the problem for them is that, given how they played this season till game 15, they wont have a top 5 pick again in 2022.

Lately, the Chiefs have the Ravens' number so I disagree. 2020: Chiefs bt Ravens 34-20 2019: Chiefs bt Ravens 33-28 2018: Chiefs bt Ravens 27-24 -
But Trubisky is in his 4th year and has shown many troubling traits, including lack of accuracy, holding on to the ball too long, not reading coverages very well etc. I contend that if a QB hasnt shown measurable, provable progress by the 3rd year (Allen was making progress even in his 2nd year), it is highly likely that he wont. Exceptions exist such as Tannehill, where it has become clear that his struggles in Miami were related to Gase. But I digress. Back to Tua (speaking objectively), I hope Miami does not give up on him very soon. The kid deserves a chance to use the offseason to improve himself.

Soooo.... If we lose to the 'Phins this Sunday playing backups at key positions, they make the playoffs, we get them in the 1st round without them having Fitz and we proceed to thrash them for our first playoff win this millennium?

Stefon Diggs named AFC Offensive Player of the Week
Fan in Chicago replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
he earned it ! In this game, he continued to make terrific plays and just so happened that it was on national TV. Constantly makes my jaw drop such as the 3rd TD reception. I also think the Allen pass to Diggs near the end of the Cardinals game was their second best play of the season but happened to be forgotten after the dreaded hail-Mary. (while I am saying that, I will forever root against that runt Murray) -
I’m seeing 12+ wins for this team...

Well done! You totally nailed it. I have to search my own posts but my optimistic take had us winning 11 games. And kudos to @GunnerBill and @HappyDays a big LOL @C.Biscuit97 -
Big Ben to the Bench! #2 Seed is ours!

My trust in Jackson has eroded this season. Not saying the Bengals will win, but it may be a close game if the Bengals can limit his running -

I remember a certain team in the distant past that lost to Steelers backups and missed the playoffs- 107 replies
