  1. Am I bad person to wish this happens ? Frazier is a good guy but I trust McBeane to hire a good replacement. But more importantly, 2 additional 3rd rounders would be great.
  2. Yes, we need to add to the offense, in particular the run game. We will always be a pass first offense but adding the run element will avoid situations like last weekend. But dont ignore the defense, which needs quite a lot of attention. The O was masking the flaws but thats not a championship-quality D. I can immediately think of needs such as 1x DL, 1x LB, 2xDBs, 1x EDGE which have to be added over the offseason to truly contend for the Lombardi. In a way, I am "happy" that we lost last weekend rather than put up this crappy show in the Superbowl against a Brady-led offense. I would have been monumentally more depressed if we had lost the SB, in this fashion, against Brady
  3. Also, JA was not given much time to either (1) survey the field and wait for the WR to start breaking open (2) Decide to roll out and throw on the run or (3) run it himself. It is unlikely that our WRs, who have done a good job of separation most of the season, suddenly found themselves befuddled by the Chiefs press coverage. To compound issues, the lack of a balanced attack provided few options to JA
  4. He rarely had time to make decisions. the OL was not doing well Chiefs were getting away with a lot of physical play - if they realized JA is going to try running, they would have keyed on hurting him There is only so much running a QB should do and it should be his 3rd or 4th option (unless its a designed run). Cant blame JA or coaches for this. OL was getting manhandled on several plays and we didnt have a RB-led running game to counter
  5. Had a beer, 2 Sazeracs, one Old Fashioned (latter 3 made by moi). Ready for victory Sunday. Good night, guys, gals and however you identify yourself
  6. Overdue, imo. He is a "good enough" QB - adequate to win just enough games to keep it interesting but unable to pull his team higher. He will have a Rivers-type deal somewhere as a bridge QB.
  7. Working on the honey-do list so I get a peaceful football Sunday
  8. My head says the Chiefs will win but my heart says otherwise. Bills win 33-27
  9. Full honor and respect for you, sir (or madam). Thanks for everything. Asking an honest question - why do you hate it ? I dont know any other way to show my respect for someone who served. If I can learn from your thoughts, I may choose to not say that to the next vet or active service member.
  10. Thats excellent. Earlier this season I doubted his schemes but have been proven wrong. This past weekend's Defense was schemed to perfection. Jackson was basically operating in a 2x2 box which is clearly not his strength. The commitment to stopping the run and Jackson's scrambles, the composure of the players and the adherence to the plan won us that game. Kudos to Frazier.
  11. The issue most analysts have is that they cannot put the Bills in any kind of box. This team really finds different ways to win. The D morphs into whatever it needs to, in order to take away the other teams strength (easy to say, difficult to do) and the O also doesnt have an ego and does what is needed. Having said that, its Allen and Diggs that really keep the other team honest. I have said it and will say it again - the Bills are winning like Belichick and Brady used to win: play disciplined football, minimize mistakes on O, dont lose your composure or cool in the most tense times (Colts and Ravens games), let the other team make key in-game mistakes and play the tough teams close. When Taron Johnson intercepted Jackson, the thought that came to mind (after I had screamed non stop for 5 minutes) is - hey that reminds me of Butler's interception of Wilson in Superbowl 49. Much as I think the Bills will lose to the Chiefs, I wont be surprised if the game is really close or if the Bills sneakily pull it off at the very end.
  12. In December, I took the morning off for the Monday after Superbowl. The Bills better hold up their end and win it all. 😀
  13. I think it was Collinsworth who said last night that the Bills my must have thought - "these guys pretty much shut down Henry last week, why would we think we can do any better ? "
  14. Monumentally stupid on the Texans' part. They should be building around Watson not without him
  15. I am reporting you to the mods and citing "conduct detrimental to the emotional well-being of the northerners"
  16. Visiting my daughter to help her with wedding planning. Returning 2 hours before the game. But that's tomorrow. I have no idea what to do for the rest of today
  17. Funny. I read that and conclude that the match ups favor the Bills.
  18. I did not know that he played for the Jests. But he was one of the worst picks during the drought. Close to McGahee in terms of FO stupidity
  19. Spy implies that he needs to keep up with Jackson if the latter breaks contain. Thats a daunting proposition and if the spy misses, it will set up LJ for a big gain due to the disproportionate number of hats. Instead, limiting LJ will be about gap control and containment.
  20. sum of the age of the 3 oldies = 122 Sum of ages of 5 younguns= 124
