  1. Other than the four Super Bowl seasons, Levy's 94-97 in record. 7 of his 17 seasons had losing records, one was .500, two were 9-7. What mediocre or better coach wouldn't have gone an average 12-4 with the talent that we had in the early '90s? Polian built this team, Levy underachieved with it! As soon as Polian left the team began to fall apart again. That's why Levy's ingenious and coaching prowess finished out his string with the Bills 7-9, 10-6, 10-6, 6-10.
  2. This is all going to work itself out in the wash this season. Up until now he hasn't done anything that reveals that he was some sort of great hire at GM. Both Miami and the Jets seem to be moving forward while we're stuck here spinning our wheels pretending that we're going to be competitive this season. What sort of moron signs Royal to a $2 million per year deal! Andre Davis? Yahoo! Tripplett for the money he's getting had better turn to be better than Williams ever was.
  3. LOL... Yeah, it is. All I'm sayin' is that so what, one minor mistake. Don't let it ruin your Sunday.
  4. Cut the guy some slack. I'm sure he's got other responsibilities than writing an article for the Bills. Having said that, I though the piece was weak.
  5. Great post. Marv got outhussled and out strategized in the four Super Bowls. He was a terrible motivator, something that is necessary. But you are right. He coasted on top talent that Polian handed to him and that he had little hand in assembling. If he were as good as many think, he would have had better records in his last seasons as Bills coach and in KC.
  6. The Bills have no first string either.
  7. I agree. It was the only game I saw him in. But it was a big game vs. a solid opponent and he didn't play up. To the poster that asked was he double-teamed, no, not frequently although he was at times. Either way, he moved sluggishly IMO. But for a guy rated as he is, he has to show something, even if he's double teamed. Who knows, maybe he wasn't feeling well that day or something. As I said, I only saw that one game of his.
  8. Too late! It's wedgy city baby!
  9. And why do you think that might be?
  10. Good post! Meanwhile, what we could predict, Gandy, Anderson, Smith, and some others on the OL flopping, everyone insisted that they'd be something different here than they were wasting cap space on other teams. Funny how that works, eh. LOL
  11. My personal favorites were us taking out other team's trash and then wrapping them and putting them under our tree by telling us how McNally was gonna "do what he did in NY." LMAO McNally's lucky he still has a job IMO. Gandy, Anderson, Tucker, Smith
  12. Yeah, and it's funny how many posters here used to talk about TD as a genius. Meanwhile, those that were against his idiocy got chastised. I think there's a lesson to be learned there somewhere.
  13. "That's 15-yards, that's a penalty. He's givin' him the business down there!"
  14. Why stop there. How 'bout NFL executives? How 'bout NLF offices floor sweepers and custodians? It's a good question.
  15. And what they do offer has gone downhill big time. Their news stuff is a bunch of novices reading off a teleprompter trying to sound and look as if they aren't reading.
  16. Not one call altered the outcome of the game.
  17. Yeah, he was in. As to Seattle, if they couldn't score more than 3 points with the field position that they had in the first half and with Pittsburgh doing all they could to see to it to push the Hawks along, then they don't deserve to win. It's inconceiveable that a team that played the way the Steelers did in the first half would win a SB. They did anyway, which is a testimony to them and a shame for Seattle. The officiating was decent. No tremendously controversial calls. The missed field goals were understandable from 50 and 54.
  18. Yeah, that's really the thing that Bills fans need to watch. Right now it's not going well. They have about 12 months left, before it's too late, to figure it out. It's not likely to occur during the season either.
  19. Good point. Also, once they start having one home game in Toronto, it may end up being, 2, then 4, and who knows. There's nowhere to tailgate in Toronto around the Skydome for the most part and the capacity is much less than it is at RWS. You could count anyone from east of B-lo out for the drive, it's simply too far. They'd be better off playing a game in the Carrier Dome.
  20. He said you need a D line that can get a consistent rush. Ngata is pure run defender, zero pass rush.
  21. There you have it. The real reason.
  22. Can you point out one time where a GM said about another team's hire, boy, they really screwed that pooch on that decision. That guy sure sucks. What's he supposed to say?
  23. If we had so much speed then why did we suck so bad in D this season?
