  1. Sure, an ingrown toenail is the sharpest pain on earth. Got it.
  2. There were reports of it earlier in camp. But you're probably right that Marv and DJ aren't letting it happen again and taking charge of the team instead of letting Milloy and Moulds run it.
  3. Pretty soon we'll be the NFL's version of Columbia.
  4. PREACH IT BABY!
  5. Someone bookmark this thread for second half humor when we'll need it most.
  6. I think we're wasting out time developing a RB in a season where we are rebuilding and with a RB that's going to want to leave as soon as possible.
  7. I like Gaughn a lot, but what are we supposed to ask him?
  8. You may be saying the same thing about Jauron soon. All we've heard is what a great guy he is, how the players like him and will play for him, as if we haven't heard that a zillion times before, and how he made a great move by cutting a player (Posey) that got no real interest anywhere else and is now playing for a fraction of his old salary on another team for veteran minimum on a one year contract as a third stringer. But everyone in Buffalo is somehow impressed with that cut. If Jauron takes heat, then so will Levy. Meanwhile, how good are some of the biggest money acquisitions and trade up draftees looking now? McCargo? Price at a huge price tag. Tripplett? Royal? Do they look worth the money? Not to me. For one, I sure as hell thinnk we could have gotten a much better and younger WR than Price for $10M and a decent signing bonus.
  9. It's funny how Bledsoe comes here and in spite of a host of issues and identifiable shortcomings in his play everyone thinks that he's gonna lead us to the Super Bowl. But when we have a guy like Losman is here expectations are very low generally speaking. I'm pretty damn optimistic about his play. The question is can he play behind a line. The question should be is there any optimism for our line? McNally this and McNally that, McNally Schmally! He's another feel good story that needs to leave like the others. It's interesting how what would normally be talk of how a player will develop into a Pro Bowler has now turned into whether he can even survive in this league or will offer anything at all.
  10. No. Did you? What's your point?
  11. A fair statement.
  12. No, it's free just like everything else the NFL puts out.
  13. Good post. Great breakdown of that Price not coming back to the QB play. It stood out in the game but I hadn't heard one writer mention it. Don't agree with some of your line comments. Williams looked good but let's not overreact to one preseason game. If continues that throughout the preaseason then there may be hope for the regular season. We've had our hopes dashed so often that it's easy to not get fooled again. He looks solid though which doesn't say much for the McCargo pick. McCargo should be looking like that. Also agree that the O problems seemed more skill position related. So why did we pay Price that much then? A Levy blunder? Price can't be cut, he just got a sizeable bonus. He's also not getting any younger. Reed too.
  14. Quinn won't be around at 2nd through 5th. Here's an idea though, if we have the first pick, let's grab Quinn, release our starting line, promote our second team line to starters.
  15. I also seem to remember not being able to beat the playoff bound Steelers at home in a playoff atmosphere. Oh wait, that wasn't the Steelers starting team. Sorry about that.
  16. Yeah, I have a short memory, which teams did we beat that season?
  17. Allow me to go back in time: a) The hiring of [Donahoe]. The guy brings a great wealth of football knowledge AND he's not an ego maniac. He doesn't even want his picture on the team's website. b) [Mularkey]. He is a REAL football coach, not a bargain rookie coach. [Mularkey] put Kordell in the Pro Bowl and he got more from the Steelers offense with the talent they had. Cowher held him back. c) Our defense is not THAT far removed from being a once dominant defense. We don't need to be that dominant, just good. We have a very good defensive minded coach in [Greg Williams] and I trust in his judgement on his assistants. We also added ALOT of team speed and got rid of some senior high dollars malcontents. The 46 D is gonna tear things up. d) I think the shackles have been lifted off of [this team] with the departure of [Kevin Gilbride]. I expect to see some pleasant surprises this year out of our O-line [with McNally on board]. e) Bledsoe's gonna light things up. I am impressed with his [strong arm and he has the experience]. He doesn't have to carry this team, he just has to manage it. I think by mid season [bledsoe will be lighting things up and on his way to another Pro Bowl]. As in many of you, I watched the replayed game on NFL channel and the thing that impressed me was his zip on the ball as he was moving. I also heard a commentator, [who was raving about how Bledsoe would help the Bills] and [how his experience is what this team is missing]. He then went on and stated that [bledsoe] is one of the few players that has [such a strong arm]. [Moulds should make the Pro Bowl now]. The threat alone will do wonders for our run game. f) The run game. [Larry Centers brings a whole new dimension to our offense and won't allow defenses to stack the box]. So, thanks for listening but before I go I too want to make a prediction. This team will be more of a pleasant surprise than a negative one and wins anywheres from [10-12] games this year. Oh, by the way [anyone not saying that the Bills will not have a winning season after a dismal 2005 outing], why don't you go and try to get on the Miami Herald, they might appreciate your great insights. Sound familiar?
  18. The experts and geniuses have spoken.
  19. They say all kinds of things. anyone that criticizes the Bills in any way is stupid and other players, coaches and teams just suck because they are not us.
  20. Let's just hope that he can cover. It wasn't his strength at OSU. Who cares if he delivers a hard hit after consistent 10 or 20 yard gains.
  21. I'll argue. Reyes turns 29 this season and Villarrial's an old man. Gandy, Peters, and Fowler are young. But I wouldn't classify that as young. Also, what do you mean how can anyone argue that. His grade is subjective. Some people may think it's a B+ or A- while others may think it's a C- or D. It's easy to argue. This group hasn't done a thing yet except allow the D to get dominated by an offense without many superstar skill posiiton players on the field.
  22. Actually, he's a 3-time Pro Bowler. But his last trip was years ago. He's in his mid 30s now. The Panthers had nothing in the receiving department that should have given us any difficulty with Smith out.
  23. Is that a good thing?
  24. If the Bills weren't a managerial and coaching laughing stock, then maybe they'd get some love. How can anyone take this team serious. We as fans do, but it ends there. If the foolishness continues this season, then it's only gonna get worse. Hopes are high, but it isn't the first time they've been high with new coaches, GMs, and coordinators.
  25. He's also like the clone Mularkey. Where's the mention of execution? It has far less to do with mentality. That falls into the BS category if you wish it it will happen. Remember, "I BILLIEVE." That didn't get us too far. It's called execution. And when I hear the coaches start talking about execution then I'll have some confidence in them. Does anyone see Parcells or some of the other better coaches making dumb comments like that? Or maybe it's because they know that the second execution is brought up that their argument weakens drastically. It's simple. You want to win? Out execute the opponent in as many positions as possible. How many fans have that confidence?
