Why don't we just forfeit the game???
Poeticlaw replied to THEDuganWolcott's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Added note: We cant rush, WE cant sack, WE are depleted in our secondary and we have a QB who throws less than 1 td per game and a coach who coaches not to lose but we do anyway. I agree chances are slim and even at 4-0 I didnt see us as a playoff team. Just a team learning to win and a QB learning to play only if we can get the OC to learn to run and the DL to learn how to sack and the secondary to learn how to defend then we will have a chance to win. -

The record might show as tied for 1st but we are actually 3rd and if MIA,JETS and NE all win this week we will be last! -

FOR the record I wanted Jauron out of town before he got here and I am very DISAPPOINTED he will be here another 3 years. -
When will Trent throw for 300.....
Poeticlaw replied to AnthonyF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The better question is when will he throw more the one TD in a game. Outside of TDS is numbers have been great. -
Considering we have been 7-9 the last 2 seasons and in the playoff hunt well past week 13 the last two seasons how is this considered a cinderella season?

Nate clements started in his rookie season

In 2002 the Year we thought we got our saviour Drew Bledsoe We started out 5-3 with the next game against NE @ home(which we lost ) and ended the season 8-8 last in our division with Jets winning it with a record of 9-7 followed by NE 9-7 and MIAMI 9-7 who both missed the playoffs and we were 2-4 in the division. This year we think once again we have our saviour Trent Edwards and again we are 5-3 going into NE with the rest of the Division Just as tight as 2002. THis is a MUST win if the division keeps up the competivtive pace because in the division the tie breaker is the division record and head to head since we can do no better than tie with JETS and MIA at this point in that catergory we need to sweep the NE Pats which is a daunting task since we have won only once against them in this decade. The major difference between 2002 and 2008 2002 we had a team, recievers, runner and a decent CB's and LBS this year we are essentially weak in every category but lets see if they can pull out the miracle!

"Sometimes I'm not even sure who we're playing next, and I don't care who it is," said Jauron. "We totally concentrate on getting ready for the Sunday ahead, and this particular team (the Patriots) is solid in every aspect. They've owned the division (the last five years) and have an organization top to bottom that is really tremendous." This guy, our headcoach doesnt know who we are playing next and doesnt care????? That explains why this team looks flat an unprepared at times. What is he preparing for if not the team that he is suppose to be playing? What does he do just pick a game plan that he thinks works for his unit regardless of the team they will be playing? To think Buffalo gave him a 3 year extenstion! I personally was lloking forward to the change this offseason. Three more years of of a 7-9 team.

If we dont beat the PATS and the JETs and MIAMI both win we will go from frist to worse in our division. Complicating our playoff hopes even more. I have to wonder with the injuries this team has had the past two season if our strength and conditioning program needs to be revamped and personnel fired and hired.

The reason why we lost...
Poeticlaw replied to BillnutinHouston's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
jauron is still under .500 -
the fact was it was going to be a close game. the fact was whether you believe its going to be a close game or not. The only thing i was stating is i have seen Miami play in their entirety and they are not as bad as their record and proved today with their win over us. So you said right or wrong youd be here. I was right and you were wrong!
-
Obviously you havent seen Miami play recently and your overly optimistic about our team. The fact is whether you want to believe it or not is going to be a close game neither team is going to blow out the other and will most likely come down to who has the last possession of the game. I believ the Bills can pull it out by 3.

Dick is sitting once again at .500 in Buffalo 19-19 This is his chance to Be the first winning coach of the tenure of coaches since Marv left the Team to Wade( last winning coach) his first 3 years in detroit were 24-24 with a 13-3 3rd season and a playoff lost witht he same soft schedule he has this year. Will he finally be a winning coach for the team hes with? Chances are good we will be way over his .500 mark at the end of the season. But I personally do not take Miami lightly I have seen them play the past couple of weeks and they have looked good just not getting the breaks it should be a great game to watch. Lets squish those fish!

Have you noticed That Tenn is 5-0 in the AFC, Pitt Is 5-0 in the AFC, NYG is 4-0 in the NFC and BUF is 3-0 in the AFC I think we are in the right place of the pecking order for now! Lets see how the next three crucial divisional games go since the other teams are 2-0,3-0 and 1-0 in there division respectively. We have not played a divisional game yet to deserve a higher ranking. Heck since we are always in the bottom 20 in the power rankings be happy we are in the top 5 who knows how long it could last.

Why is everyone stressing about the AZ game
Poeticlaw replied to BILLS #1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just for the record JP took only 1 more sack than Trent did against STL the previous game. Just an FYI -
Fitzgerald 65 games 361 rec 5011 yds 38 td his #2 Boldin in same time frame 54 gms 440 rec 4447 34 tds Lee 62 games 249 receptions 4159 31 tds his #2 non existnent Lee is a deep ball threat and makes none around him better Fitzgeral has more catches and probable extended more drives because of those clutch catches. Which one is really more important catching the deep ball or keeping the chains moving? Id go witht he chains. Now that we know Lee is only a deep threat we need a possesion reciever we have none arizona definatels has two.

Ok Jp is the scape goat because every one wante to see him fail. Lets blame the 5 sacks and 2 turnovers because he likes to hold on to the ball too much. But what were his stats? 15/21 220 1 td and 1 int he completed 71% of his passes is that some one who lost the game for us not completely maybe it was his 5 sacks or his inability to hold on the the ball when he got sacked causing 2 fumbles. So maybe tha t was it. Yes when the game was on the line JP crumbled that seems to be his shortcoming and the one of the 2 differences between Trent and JP because letes face it in STl Trent was 15/25 197 1 td 1 int and 4 sacks no fumbles. So Trent can hold on to the ball when being sacked and is much cooler under pressure. So the debate is over Tren is the better leader for this offense. I dont blame the QB as much as I do the coaches. We need to stop playing not to lose and play to win. Does anyone realize that we are paying 9 mil + a year to a reciever that is catching the ball 3.2 times a game yes he has huge catches when it comes his way but 9 + mil to only catch 3.2 time a game is way too much money. That tells me that we dont have much of an offense. The conservative approach isnrt going to win games we need to win. I knew Arizona would have been our first test and we failed. San diego is our next test. I watched Miami beat them and Miami looked alot better than we did. The Jets offense must be as good as arizona because they were able to win the shootout. NE didnt look much better but still escaped with a win in SF... This division is up for grabs and we are not the best ones in it by far. I hope Jauron can make the nice bye wek adjustments he has made in the past because we have several areas that need to be fixed and one by far is our star WR making 9 mil + a year should be making an avg of 6.25 catches per game he cant just be the deep threat guy he has to be the goto guy on 3rd down and make the catches to move the chains. Finally I said it before Jauron has not figure out how to stop the opposing team from Blitzing we have been blitz since the OAK game STL copied it and ARI we have to show teams we will beat you on the BLitz or the rest of the season will go sour quickly. I just wanted to air those things out and if share the opinon great if not we are entitled to our own view and perceptions. I do agree that JP is not a fit for this offense. I do disagree he is not starter worthy in the right offensive system. I do agree JP crumbles under Pressure so did Drew Bledsoe. the mentalty there is to make the big play instead of making plays that put your team in the position to win. I dont believe our defense is this bad I believe the coaching philosphy against certain teams is a mistake you have to go into win the game not play the game not to lose but lose anyway. I am not spell checking so i apologize for any mistyped/misspelled words.

Dick is 18-18 with the Bills right now and he has a chance to put himself over .500 and give the Buffalo Bills their shot at 5-0 for the First time since 1991 and first winning coach since Wade Phillips both coincidentally coming off of teams Built in part by Marv Levy and co. So heres to you Dick come out with the guns blazing and put your self over .500 and keep us undefeated going into the bye week.

I wont go into the JP vs Trent but what they saw in Trent was a perfect fit to their offensive scheme. Dink and dunk and move methodically down the field take few chances and create litte turnovers. JP will be a starter on another team tahts plays a little more aggressive and utilizes the mobility and talents of JP. As much as some hate him or even as much as some hate or Like Favre. JP reminds me soo much of favre and he will do good on another team. Trent has started to grow on me especially his abilty to stay calm when the game is on the line I like that. But to sau Trent Is a Great player i wouldnt quite say that yet he still has to prove he can play in the conditions of Buffalo, NY, and NE he has not impressed me in that area yet. He is definatley a dome, fair to great day good QB. Id like to see him get better. Again, Trent is the best for this offense hes a perfect fit. I guess it really depends on what you like. Personally I like the gunslingers and Trent is more of a sharp shooter and if thats our QB for years to come I will have to adjust, but so far he has been pretty good for a kid in his first full stint as a starter.

I Can certainly agree to some degree with Josh and Terrance both have been pretty good players. . I am not that eager to agree on Jauron his 13-3 season is based on an equivalent schedule he has this year. I posted Jauron stats some time ago He has an unbeleivable win record against teams .500 and below something like + 80% win percentage and a Horrific win record against teams above .500 something like -20% . until the Dick can prove he can beat real teams I will not offer any apologies. Yes he has a 4-0 team against a combine what 4-12 (estimate) record. The 4th Qtr has been the best qtr to watch outscoring teams somethink like 44-10 I heard today on Mike and Mike that means the other 3 qtrs combine we out scored them 63-57 not to promising. He needs to learn how to come out and take the game play to win. The only time he seems to play well is in the 4th QTR when we are down by 2 scores and He has no choice but to be aggressive. A good coach knows when to take care of the weakness. He still hasnt addressed the fact that STL copied OAK and blitz the hell of out of Trent in the First half of the games rest assured we should see the same from ARZ and anyoneelse after that if we dont show we will beat you on the BLitz. I will hold any apologies until he proves he can be a playoff team coach and beat playoff team coaches!! But I am enjoying our beautiful start and I am anticipating based on schedule and Jaurons Chicago year at least 12-4 this season with a bye! Not too much after that though.

SO be it our own FAN base wont even support our tema how can we expect experets to. Winner TITANS.

OK Ill take your so called argument: Ten 4.2 yds per play Buff 4.7 yds per Play Ten 3rd 57 31.6% Buf 3rd 52 19.2% Ten 4th 9 55.6% Buff 4th 42.9 % Ten TOP 29.36 Buffalo TOP 27.53 So in every category except yds per play BUFFALO is the dominate Defense NOT The Titans. Your turn!
-
So lets understand the sports world: Titans played Jax, Cin, Hou and Min combined 3-12 Bills have played Seattle, Jax, Oak and STl combined 4-11 In my humble opinion Ttians had softer schedule to date They both played JAX Buffalo scored 3 more points than Ttians but gave up 6 more points than Titans Bills 109 63 and Titans 102 46 Titans 3 home games Bills 2 home games Titans 3 AFC opponents Bills 2 AFC opponents Titans had 3 Blowouts Bills had 2 blowouts I dont know Looks pretty equal and they both should be getting the same recognition for their 4-0 starts I dont see one truly better than the other at this point. Both had soft schedules to this point and Both have won all 4 games. When does Buffalo get their recognition? If they continue to win or if the beat San diego or do we even want them mentioned as a team to beat. I think Titans are only getteing theirs because they are the Titans lets go with name familiarity. Not the team who has been clawing their way the last 2 years being in playoff scenarios for the last 2 years. Seems a little skewed to me..anyone else?

ESPN power rankings VERY HONEST!
Poeticlaw replied to NavyBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sorry but the power rankings in the past has always had the undefeateds higher than anyone with a loss. Its a little skewed in my opinion. -
I live in NE and just looking over the schedule to see when i will get a live game and I noticed that there is no direct tv or local station listed for the Toronto game. http://www.nfl.com/schedules?seasonType=RE...eason=2008#Week Does any know whats up with this? I would figure that the NFL would hype up its international Play.
