Folks blaming Jauron are way off the mark
Poeticlaw replied to The Big Cat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Im sorry I must dispute that because as I was watcing it being the arm chair coach that I am I am screaming at the TV what the hell are you doing and I knew after the three straight runs Lindell was going to miss it even if he made it it was a bone head call by jauron not to get his team closer to the endzone with a minute left on the clock! -
Take tie breakers into consideration we are 3 games out of first. I added who i think will win and lose those games sorry Buffallo doesnt stand a chance in either the division or wildcard with INDy taking one and Miami or baltimore taking the other considering they are 5-3 and 6-3 in the conference and buffalo is 3-4 . Sorry i just dont see it Realistically this team has too many issues, a QB whos lost confidence, a HC thats going intp the FETAL position in play calling, and asecondary thats the walking wounded not happening. The KOOLAID is all gone next year will make some more than you can ofer us some to drink.

Can someone answer for me something about Evans
Poeticlaw replied to Like A Mofo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have been saying this for quite awhile now LEE EVANS IS NOT A #1 receiver your number one receiver makes catches, is the goto guy, is a playmaker, can change the game. Being doubed team means nothing he is nothung more than #2 guy deep threat only. HE WAS NOT WORTH THE 9mil especially in dink and dunk offense with a guy who doesnt have a deep ball arm. -
While successes are generally a team effort

YES the number one problem is Ralph Wilson- not much we can do until he dies or sells and he wont sell before he dies. -
Since the subject is Who I feel bad for..... I feel bad for every Bills fan that Ralph Wilson has pumped up every seson into thinking this might be the year we will be a playoff team again. Yet does nothing to improve the product he puts on the field each year, does a poor Job of attracting Free agents and overpays second/third tier players and brings in 4th rate coaches. Granted we will never know how a coach doeds until they are brought in. But to resign Jauron for another three years I feel bad for the fans like myself that have ti endure another three years of bad clock management, bad game planning, and Playing not to Lose instead of playing to win. Three more years of no playoffs and in the cellar of the AFC east. 3 more years of being ranked 20-25 out of 32 teams. 3more years of being in the bottom 20 of stats. I feel bad for the fans for the next 3 years because of this poor product is continually produced we will not have a Buffalo team we will have Toronto team becasue of the drop off in fan support. I do I Truly and Honestly feel bad for you, me the entire BILLS FAN NATION. Honestly nothing is going to change until Ralph does!

Folks blaming Jauron are way off the mark
Poeticlaw replied to The Big Cat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Dick Jauron had his input on the Free agents, Trades and Draft choices. This team is his team. He has the inability to play to win. The final drive of last night should be enough to open your eyes that he cannot coach to win if so he would have put his kicker in better position to win the game we a minute left and browns burning timeouts just incase they have to comeback to win. He picks the assistnat coaches the same defensive coach that allowed the opposing team the go ahed field goal after the team finshed a go ahead score. He is the coach who has squandered a 5-1 start. he is the coach who has a 55-70 career record. He is the coach who only has at best 12 wins agains teams witha winning record in in 8 seasons he is the coach who does not know haow to manage the clock which was pointed out several times by jaws last night. He is the coach that didnt give his QB confidence to win the game. He is the coach that will never again have a winning record in the NFL regardless of his players. I actually find it hillarious that we have supporter for Jauron the lat three years who thinks hes a good coach. Give me a list of reasons he should be the coach of this team because I cannot think of one except he comes cheap but then again you get what you pay for. -
Jauron had a 3 year extnesion In Chicago too
Poeticlaw replied to Poeticlaw's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Actually it wasnt a Fluke he just had the stars aligned like the Browns did with their 10-6 season he only beat 3 teams that season with a winning record and lost 4 to teams with a winnnig record including playoffs and maintained his dominance over <=.500 teams 10-0 and TB at that time wasnt anything spectacular at 9-7 One thing DJ knows is how to beat losing teams he has a win percentage of something like .900 against teams .500 and below and .100 agaisnt teams above .500 -
Yeah but the 5-1 start made it different than any other year all he had to do was play min of .500 ball not .000 ball we are 0-4 since that point all against AFC teams 2-2 puts us at 7-3 tied for first and good hold on tie breakers. 0-4 basically slammed the door shut we are severly behind in the tie breakers now.

Lynch failed to center the ball for the final kick
Poeticlaw replied to SKOOBY's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Actually its the coaches fault for not playing and trying to run the clock out and giving him a 47 yard field goal kick when they had a minute left and all of theBrowns time outs to keep marching down the field!!!! I only blame JAURON for the missed field goal, JAURON AND JAURON ONLY SHOULD TAKE BLAME FOR THIS LOSS!!!!!!! -
I did some research Jauron got essentially a 2 year extension but a big raise. Here are the articles of extension and firing "Feb 22, 2002 3 year-deal LAKE FOREST -- Bears general manager Jerry Angelo made good on a two-month-old promise Friday by signing coach Dick Jauron for the next three seasons. After a lengthy negotiation, Jauron had the final year of his current contract torn up and received a new three-year deal running through the 2004 season. Although terms were not revealed by the Bears, it is believed the pact more than doubles Jauron's annual salary from $1 million to almost $2.3 million. It also clarifies his responsibilities in relation to Angelo's. "I feel like we all won," said Jauron, who took the Bears to a 13-3 record in 2001. "I think that's the nature of the negotiations and you hope they turn out good for you. December 29, 2003 General Manager Jerry Angelo said before the season the Bears had playoff potential and when that goal was not met, he fired coach Dick Jauron today, less than 24 hours after a season-ending loss at Kansas City, as reported in the morning edition of the Sun-Times. "My decision was based on overall record," Angelo said at a news conference this afternoon. "Simply put, expectations weren't met. We're in a bottom line business. Looking at Dick's overall career record, I just didn't feel that the hope we need to move on to the next level was there. And I felt it was in the best interest for everybody to make the decision now." Jauron also spoke at the news conference. He expressed appreciation ... " I share the same bold sentiments granted if he has the extensions as reported ( nothing confirmed) I anticipate he will be fired at the end of next season for not meeting the teams expecations.

Dick Jauron Needs to stop playing not to LOSE
Poeticlaw replied to Poeticlaw's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The guys actually look like they play hard their are just a few spots that need to be upgraded #1 receiver- sorry but lee evans is nothing but a number 2. TE- someone who can catch underneath moreso than the RBS- A Real Center- WE need an anchor to that line- 1or 2 more CBS to aide in the secondary and a OLB and a true pass rushing DE because you can have all the talent and it doesnt mean you can coach to win. The browns have equivalent talent in QB,RB better talent at TE, WR, OL, DL yet their coach cannot get them to win on a regular basis the players can only do so much if the coach is calling the shots! -
Theres only one hole in your 11-5 the reality is they WILL not beat DENVER in DENVER. I have posted earlier based on Jaurons stats he was going to go 2-1 over these three and 1-3 in the last 4 the best they are going to do this season is 8-8 but Jauron likes 7-9 so thats probaly where we will be. 11-5 will not get us the playoffs we will lose all the tie breakers as usual. Considering we were in the drivers seat.

I have been saying this for the three season hes been here. HE is too conservative of a coach and needs to stop playing not to lose. What do I mean some of you might be thinking. THe last drive last night is a perfect example we NEEDED a field goal, isnt the object to get your feild goal kicker as close to the field goal post as possible to increse their chances of winng the game on the kick. we had over a minute left in the game and the browns wereg oing to use their time outs we rushed 3 times for 5 yards to give our kicker a 47 yard field goal attempt. Im sorry but why were we not still trying to either score a touch down or get to the 20 yard line for a better shot. This was Jauron taking not chances and hoping his kicker will make the field goal. He was playing not to lose instead of going down the field even closer for a must win game. He kille dour season and every season thus far because HE himself has not learned how to play to win how can he teach is players to do something he cannot do. On another note Trent is looking pretty down in the past few games where is that confidence he had when they were 5-1. Why didnt lee evans have a catch hes our 9 million dollar man.As i have posted in previous posts I am very concerned for Trent in the Northeast weather in NOV/DEC.

Does anyone know for sure if the Bills signed Jauron
Poeticlaw replied to firstngoal's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As they said there was no official word, Chris Brown didnt even confirm the reports. Trent was quoted "Trent said he was not told of the news by anyone in the organization, but saw it on an ESPN News crawl on TV last night." Hopefully this is all rumors and my wish will come true and he will be gone by the end of the season we need a coach who plays to Win not one who plays not to lose and loses anyway. -
In our Division is how many wins do you have against the Pats 0-5 In the NFL las three years teams to Beat: INDY 0-1 PIT 0-1 DAL 0-1 PHI 0-1 NYG 0-1 SD 1-1 JAX 2-1 OVERALL 3-12 against the top teams in the NFL the last 3 years PATHETIC!!!!!

Ok so waht I did is this ignore his interim caoching first year counted 95,96 &97 Full 3 years (though this is not an even comparison since this is considered Jeff Fishers First 3 years of coaching and Jaruon is in his 6th full year of caoching but anyway I see the point is the same weak receievers and revoling QBS for comparison. Fisher 16-10 Teams 500 or below Jauron 17-2 Teams 500 and below Winner Jauron Fisher 7-15 Team above .500 Jauron 2-18 teams Above 500 winner to be deicded end of season but Fisher is Leading. Fisher 3 seasons 23-25 Jauron 3 season 19-20 winner to be deciede end of season Fisher Leading. The thing here is that Jeff Fisher to this point has beaten 5 more teams above .500 then Jauron he has an inclination on how to win against competitive teams in his first 3 years of coaching no mind you Jauron is in his 6th full season and still hasnt improved against winning teams he knows how to beat the mediocre and the subpar teams but cannot beat winners. I rember the seasons with Fisher and he had a team that played hard and looked good just got bad breaks, and emotional leader that gets his team emotional. He IS a good coach. Jauron has shown me nothing but a flat inconsistent team and hasnt even brought the defense up to par yet and that is his speacialty? Jauron needs to go he has shown nothing to me and fans who look at the whole picture he is not a good coach and we dont need another 3 years of his underperformance hoping for one season of 13-3 with a gauranteed playoff loss because he cant beat a winning team.

Who have we beaten Sea 2-7, oak, 2-7, stl, 2-7, sd 4-5, jax 4-5 who have we lost to ari 6-3, miami 5-4, jets 6-3, ne 6-3 who do we have left cle -3-6, kc 1-8, sf 2-7 mia 5-4, jets 6-3, den 5-4, ne 6-3 2006 1-7 against teams above .500 6-1 .500 and below 2007 1-7 against teams above .500 6-1 .500 below 2008 0-4 against teams above .500 5-0 .500 below thats 2-18 against teams above .500 and 17-2 against teams .500 and below This means our coach is a winner against mediocre and worse teams and a loser when it comes to winning teams we cannot win with a coach like this ever hes afraid to win against the better teams, or plays scared, or underprepares, or plays to close to the vest or just plain sucks. Unfortunately we have this Dick for 3 more years or until Ralph dies which ever comes first. So based on stats we will go 2-1 over next three games and 1-3 over the final 4 leaving us with an 8-8 record one better than last season thats a huge improvement

Week 17 could be VERY interesting!
Poeticlaw replied to THEDuganWolcott's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
IF im right about Trent in December we will not be in the deciding factors in December Buf will lose @ JETS, @ Denver and Home against NE. Hopefully trent proves me wrong about his ability to play in bad weather but his track record thus far is against him Last season he lost @ cle home against Giants and @ philly averaging 139 yds .67 TDS 1 int .67 fumbles witha 38% completion rate. Decemebr is when you need a ground game and we havent had one yet sorry I cannont share your optimism 9-7 will be the best we will do Im leaning more towards 7-9(DJS favorite number since arriving here) at best 8-8. Playoffs are a distant memory for me now. -
If the Bills were a pop or rock group -who would they be?
Poeticlaw replied to Tcali's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bruce Springsteen - The fans think hes great but the rest of the world Knows he sucks! -
I was actually surprise by the 5-1 start I only said they would make the playoffs if they palyed .500 ball the rest of the way since that point they have played .000 ball and are 0-3 in the division and fell to 5th in the wild card race that only takes two. Personnally I was expecting anohter 7-9 season I just didnt know I would have to endure for another 3 years.

There is nothing about Jaurons tenure in Buffalo that has been positive. Hes a supbar coach 19-22 as a head coach in Buffalo twice he had a chance to go over .500 he does not know how to win unles he is playing against sub .500 teams he has two personalities though there are not clear to see on his face he plays to win agains teams that are under .500 and he plays not to lose against teams that are .500 or better. He only has like 2 wins in three season in Bufflao of beating a real contender. Until he can prove he is a capable coach he should not be caoching but some in the organiztion rehired him which is telling me that if you look at the pats it was not until they got a new owner did they become succesful. I think Ralphy boy is just trying to keep expenses down and assets up and let the new owners take on th big contracts of star players though the prices we pay for 2/3rd tier players we should be able to buy some star players. come on 9 mil for a deep threat only guy, 7 mil for a guy who cannot rush the passer, and 60 mil for a line that cannot create running lanes this is ridiculous.
-
It all comes down to the head coaches mentality that need to be fixed. He needs to come in the game controlling the tempo from the starting gate. Once i saw the three and out on the first drive I knew the game was over. We also rushed on the first down something like 5 times in a row. ITs too predictable. Where was the playaction on first down, where is the Blitzing if the qb come on its a high scholl QB its not tom brady why were we playing scared!? Maybe I am the only one who saw it but both teams sucked on the field that day it was just the we sucked even more than they did we could not capitalize on anything. Lets start playing to win and stop playing not to lose.

We could just as easily win 3 & go from worst to 1st......
Poeticlaw replied to SKOOBY's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
BUT we are 0-3 in our division everyone else is 2-1 and we have to play all 3 of them again.
