"But Cassel, who is from Northridge, Calif., and played at Southern Cal, said yesterday that the Patriots would be fine in those conditions because the team practices in cold and wet New England fall weather." The Patriots practice outside, the Jets practice outside, I dont have tim to look for it but Pitt practice outside in prep for the game against NE. The point is you have indoors/outdoor facilities The whole week of practices do not need to be inside this team is a cold weather team that plays like a dome team and gives up their home field advantage becuase they have none. The pats practice both in and out doors the pats are the best in our division that means in the final game of the season they will be more prepared than us to play in our elements of our stadium better than we are. Thats Pathetic. Someone else mentioned it was marvs philosphy to playindoors Im not sure about that but if you Look back to the marv Era The Players looked warm on the sidlines with no jackets on and members of opposing temas would get psyched out because they wer elike wow look at them this frigid weather doesnt effect them. THats home field advantage and the only game we lost in January in Buffalo was because it was something like 60 degrees for Jax that day. The boys we have now look like they are freezing and cant get enough clothing on to stay warm. PATHETIC!!!!!!!!!! -
I hate to spoil the pity party ....

A team that has gone 1-5 is not going on a tear of 4 in a row against winning teams when they are are 1-2 against losing teams and no the 49ers were worse the the cleveland browns and youare delusional for thinkg this team has any shot oo being a contender for a wild card -
"Trent Edwards made a minor reference to the weather in terms of affecting his passing, though he attributed more of his struggles to his groin and being unable to drive his hips into his throws as a result. But the FOX broadcasters made a big deal about the fact that the Bills do not practice outside during the week. The truth is the Bills haven’t practiced outside once in the last two weeks. Head coach Dick Jauron was asked if the team needs to practice outside more to be better prepared for the weather conditions they have to play in here in Buffalo. Jauron believes the problems facing this team don’t involve the weather." Buffalo is a cold windy city and wouldnt it be nice to take advantage of that. I have mentioned in previous post that Trent did not look like a cold weather QB baed on last season what i didnt know is that the HC was so soft on his players that he practices indoors and not outdoors. How are you going to beat the Jets or NE they both practice outdoors, How would you beat PITT another team that practices outdoors. You prepare your team for the conditions of the field we dont play in a a dome we play in an outdoor stadium which we have no advantage in in nov/dec/or Jan because you wont bring this team outdoors to practice don you think this team could use the COMPETITVE ADVANTAGE DICK??????
-
So lets understand this BUFFALO is a cold windy city and BUffalo is always suppose to have the advantage in december and January because they are the Home team. However the coach levels them out with the other teams because he practices inside because as someoneelse posted elsewhere he like to be competitive. I Would thinkg you would wnat to take advantage of the HOME FIELD weather and practice outside to give your team a COMPETIVITIVE ADVANTAGE HUH DICK!!!!!
-
COMPETITIVE????? WHAT?????? WHERE????? WHEN has this team been competitive?????? Honestly really think about and dont be biased when did you really feel the BILLS would beat the upcoming opponent, I mean really knew that the team could beat the opponent. There is not a signle team in the NFL i KNOW this team can beat WHY because we are competitive we keep the other teams in the game long enough for us to lose the game with a slight chance of winning it

Schottenheimer interested in Bills...
Poeticlaw replied to Chuckknox's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So you are saying that a coach who got off to a 5-1 start can stay if he finshes with the records you have. No major injuries that prevented this team form winning games. So its ok if his last 10 games ar 5-5, 4-6 and 3-7 so its ok to finsh .500, .400 and .300 after an .833 start Im sorry Have to disagree with you there anything less than a playoff berth after a 5-1 start without a reaon is fireable!!!!!! He mostlikely wins maybe if hes lucky one more game this season! -
Where did it go wrong? What was this "turning point" (if there is only one)? I think it would be cool if we could all decide together where the team fell apart. IT was believing this team was better than then they really were. Really look at it. We got the handicapped (walking wounded) Seahawks and looked good in all phases, barely pulled the win out against Jax, Oak was beating us up and barely pulled that one out. THe score looked like we crushed STL but STL played an unbelievable game leading us 14-6 until 5 minutes left in the 3rd qtr and then they had a complete collapse in the 4th qtr a game they should ahve won but lost their coach and We had two weeks to prepare for SD and they havent looked good all season. The team we were against arizona is the team we have been ever since and its the same team we were last year and the year before that. The fact was we were all isn such disbelief about thm winning we sai nothing, we disected nothing we hoped that the positive of winning and stating only positive things about them winning would carry us until the reality set in that this team is no better and wasnt anything but a string of luck against the teams they faced in the first half. The teams were only 2-16 lets say it again the OPPOSING TEAM COMBIBNED RECORD was 2-16.

What possibly made you think talent wise we were better than previous years. Becuase we signed Hardy? Why didnt we go after Stallworth a proven possesion reciever thats what we need to take the double team off of Evans and let him be the deepr threat he is and all he will ever be. We had no upgrades at TE so Royal was it and we know he sucks. We know the rest of the WR core is suspect now go over tot he defensive side of the ball and we all know the secondary was really suspect and possibe achilles heel to our defense. We had no upgrades on the OL and only Stroud and Jounson on the Dl Sorry I did not see the same results as you I saw a 7-9 team same as last year if we improved at all it would only be a game 8-8 best.

Lets recap since Jim Kelly Todd Collins, Hobart/Hebert, Doug Flutie, Rob Johnson, Alex Vanpelt, Drew Bledsoe, Jp losman, Kelly holcomb, and Trent Edwards. Thats 10 QBS who have started for this team. Doug Flutie did nothing but win but the organization did not like his style of play, Johnson had the tools but no talent around him to make the plays, Drews first year he had the tools and the players and then the depleted the offense for him. Now JP and Trent both have no mentor and telling me a career third stringer that is ALex Van pelt is a good mentor proves to be delusional. There are no tight ends on this team, The are no receievers on this team ( sorry going deep does not qualify as a legitimate receiver, neither does paying him 9 mil to go deep) THe Center has been an issue for over a decade that is the anchor of the line stop bringing in guys to convert to a center get a legitmate center. The problem in my view is the lack of focus for this team. they have no identity, they dont know if they want to be a running team, a passing team, a deep threat team, or a dink and dunk team. Since they dont know what team they are they dont know what players to bring in. Outside of that they certainly do not know hot to use the personnel they have. I dont care what your take is on JP but you had to think at some point this kid was going to take at least 2 shots deep to lee evans right? No they played conservative with him. We well not overpay again for QBS after the Flutie/Johnson fiasco. Do we really want to draft another QB or trade for a QB or sign a QB all this is going to do is prolong the playoffs and continue into a bottomless pit. I say stick with Trent for the foreseeable future bring in someone who can teach him and someone who can compete some one who can play in cold weather. ( hey maybe a CFL QB to help with the sales in toronto) Sign a center and LT, TE and WR Whether any one wants to beleive it or not we need a #1 receiver a goto/possession receiever that is a playmaker. Upgrade the secondary. Finally, Update the head coach,DC and OC. Personally I think if they could afford coward bring him in he will bring us back to greatness. Turn us back into the blue collar team we once were and not this california laid back I hate the cold team we now are.

If this team continues to falter the rest of the season and Jauron is not fired and truly extended then the fanbase needs o show their distaste and go on strike from the team. We pay for this product so if we do not pay for games the players and team wont get paid and they would have to do something to improve this team right?

If only the Bills could beat the terrible teams
Poeticlaw replied to billsfreak's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
YOUR post should be only of the BILLS can beat a team period!!!!! -
Jauron's extension means nothing - Bills can fire him
Poeticlaw replied to Casmolopitis's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
IF Ralph SIGNED him to a three year extension then he will NOT be FIRED because RALPH does not believe in paying coaches not to coach. -
Of course its crystal clear anyone who is behind the 10 yard marker is is go to reciever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So if you're the Detroit Lions do you.....
Poeticlaw replied to zow2's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Use the wildcat formation they will never get a good QB -
DUDE wasnt this board just saying that about edwards over the 4 game losing streak. The only receievers on this team appear to be thr running backs. JP will do good on a team that plays to his strengths I can definately see arizona being one of those teams.

Just had a thought when i saw kurt warner is 37 an a free agent Arizona looks like a very nice destination for him!

Poeticlaw replied to tomdayfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Dude way off base her a perfect stint would be what 5-0 rest of the way yes thats what we need. But Indy, NE, BAL all are 7-4 means all they need to do is 3-2 the rest of the way for 10-6 and yes that means some is out We would have to go 4-1 and that would still leave us out so lets say it happened that way then yes TWO TEAMS WOULD BE LEFT OUT AT 10-6!!!!! -

Poeticlaw replied to tomdayfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You dont Get it if we are 10-6 NE has to LOSE 3 games- for us to get in, Baltimore has to lose 3 games for us to get in- We wont win the tie breaker thats why we are out @ 10-6 and the only way in is 11-5 we have to win out its the only way in PERIOD!
