We played him early the worse I have ever seen NE play against us then only problem was we were worse then them
-
It was a cold weather windy day which is not trents specialty. We are a feild goal team that lost a field goal or 2 We would have atleast scored 3 if they line lined up before the half.

What are you talkning about!!!! There wasnt a Marshawn lynch the last game of last year against he pats and WHo ran for 136 yards----FRED JACKSON hello!!!!
-
Anyone concerned about EDWARDS this season
Poeticlaw replied to Poeticlaw's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Get off of whatevevr your smoking the Broncos beat themseleves they had twice the offense we did and we were put in shortfield situaions and if it wasnt for the 5 yards pas that turned into 65 yards by Jackson we wouldnt be talking about that game where trent had pedistrain numbers compared to his counterpart IN THE SAME WEATHER!!!! -
What I meant is I am gaurenteed 4 games a year 5 if the play the giants, I see 2 against the Pats and @ against the Jets every year plus any sundaynight/Monday night games By making the Pats/Bills a monday night game I am losing the ability to watch the Bills play another team on MNF. So for me it would ROYALLY SUCK
-
NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I live in NE I get all the NE/JET/GIANT games free and to lose a game that would be on Mondaynight would really suck thats one less game to to my minimum ability to watch live games gone. I would rather it be the Colts in Toronto get them both over and done with on Mondaynight and Another chance for me to watch them

I have always wondered why the draft isnt done first, followed by free agent signings followed by offseason break followed by minicamps and training camp and the season. I strongly agree with the draft first policy and sign all your draft picks by x date release all players by x date then let a true official free agency begin and everyteam would know what they need and whats available. Players might even have a better neg. ability and this might help witht he fight for a rookie cap. I LIKE IT!!!!

Let me put out a post with a different perspective. Trent Barely threw 350 time last season and he didnt even play a full season. He has problems with his throwing shoulder that was thought to need surgery but later it was called shoulder fatigue. Now if he has only played 13 1/2 games last season and throwing barely 350 times, How do you think his shoulder is going to hold up under a full season (doubtful he makes it through a full season) with the potential of throwing the ball even more now that he has TO in the mix. I dont know about you, BUT I AM VERY CONCERNED i do not want FITZY in there at all!!!!

Who has better receivers, overall, Bills or Pats?
Poeticlaw replied to Kelly the Dog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Its unbillevable how bias we are of our players. We have to look at this with an unbiased EYE! I have read some that thinks Evans is better than welker based on how welekr is bing used. THe facts are simple Wes Welker 2007 was a 3rd receiver 112 receptions, a 2nd reciever in 2008 111 catches bothe season over 1000 yards. As I ahve mentioned many times before in previous post LEE is nothing more than a DEEP threat receiver. Do i care so much about how many yards they get a season NO what does the receiver do to help us move the chains. Wes Welker moves the chains and is tough to bring down and hes smaller than Lee evans. Moss = Owens both catch longballs, both whiney, both catch tds, Both have to be double teamed, owens is a better blocker, Moss is better of the line makes them both equal in my eyes Welker>Evans sorrry ill take over a 100 recetpions and a 1000+ yards compare to uner 67 passes 1000+ yards the succesful key to any offense is to get first downs and welker is the man to do it. Galloway= Reed If galloway is healthy and playing like old he would get the advantage so his injuries equal him out but as a number 3 it might have the edge but then again reed in the slot and edwards favorite looks like it equals out, Lewis> Parrish Parrish is only good a returning kicks not being a receiver sorry!!! Aiken < Johnson Johnson is better than aiken lewis and parrish in my opininon but hes fighting for 4th on a depth chart that the 4 mil dollar man will probably have him 5th. Again I would take WELKER in a heart beat over our OVERPAID DEEP THREAT ONLY receiver that doesnt fit our offensive scheme. At least the pats had the brains to go after thsi guy when we should have gotten him and traded off Parrish!!! -
I for one am glad that Goodell is proposing a rookie salary cap. I have been proposing this for years and the players association should be onboard with this one as well because its the veteran players getting cut for these unproven rookies big salaries. Not to mention how their salaries hinder the team that its not working out for. My proposal: First round picks only First Year regardless of position Top 10 pick -7.5 mil GUARENTEED 1 year contract- 11-21- 5.0 mil GUARENTEED 1 year contract 21-32- 2.5 mil GUARENTEED 1 year contract 2nd Year: Players are exclusive rights to their current teams and can be tendered an offer equal to the amount of the first year or negiote a long term deal. Player is not allowed to hold out in first or second year as the player is trying to prove their worth to the current or prospective teams. If playered not tendered an offer or traded then the player becomes a free agent. 3rd Year: Team must commit to long term contract or the player is a free agent. The player cannot be traded without a long term contract from the team the player is being traded to and with the consent of the player. The player is considered a free agent if longterm contract isn ot in place by the beginning of free agency. The remaining rounds will continue the way it has been done before as well as undrafted free agents.

Marshawn Lynch press conference at 4pm

Maybe hes coming out to apologize for his actions which has resulted in a trade to the Broncos for Jay cutler and Sheffler. ONLY KIDDING!!!!!!!! -
If Favre Doesn't Retire Would Any Team Want Him
Poeticlaw replied to Steely Dan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Jets is the team that holds is contract. If brett was to come out and say he wanted to play he would be the Jets starter. The Jets will not trade him away and if they did it would be to a team that wanted Brett as their starter. So either Farve stays retired-Which I think he will or he plays another season for the Jets. But even still How can you not comeback and hold a clipboard for the money hes making? -
"On Friday, May 19, 2007 Scheffler broke his left foot in seven-on-seven passing drills during practice. The injury caused Scheffler to miss much of training camp, the set back kept Scheffler out of his place in the lineup as the Broncos pass receiving tight end until October 21, 2007 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Scheffler finished the season among league leaders of tight ends with 49 receptions for 549 yards and 5 touchdowns." Wikipedia "Broncos | Scheffler still not completely healed Thu, 13 Nov 2008 15:36:56 -0800 Denver Broncos TE Tony Scheffler (groin) said he still isn't completely healed from a groin injury that kept him out of the lineup for a few games. He played in Week 10 and is on pace to play in Week 11, but it appears he will be limited by the injury for a while. " Players get banged up and hurt all the time. A player who is considered injury prone tends to have MULTIPLE injuries through the season EVERY season. I.E. Rob Johnson, Trent Edwards Just becuase somone broke a bone doesnt mean they are injury prone. IE JP Losman. The fact is that TS has played very well in all games after coming back from his injury. I wouldnt mind this trade at all I just dont see it happening nor have I seen his name linked to our team at all except for fans sites. We have TEs that produce less and get hurt more than this guy does. 2 injuries in three seasons doesnt make a player injury prone or Fragile!!!!

Lynch to meet Goodell tomorrow

http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=09000d5d8...mp;confirm=true Doing some research on suspensions passed down TWO would be the absolute max I can see Marshawn getting because last years offseason incident would come into play here. -
Last year Scheffler missed three games due to a groin injury that was it! Dont forget edwards has been mentioned to have a fatiqued throwing soldier that almost needed surgery at season end!

So did our QB

Let's get rid of every good player we have.
Poeticlaw replied to Dibs's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Look if everyplayer you mentioned on that list was good we wouldnt be 7-9 for three straight years now would we? Peters is a solid player is he worth over 10 mil a year for one player? Some say yes some say no. I personally think everytime hes unhappy hes going to renegoitiate his salary though is play might not warrant it. The fact was if he wanted a big ontrat he should have ome to camp and been a team player. He would make our team better by subtracting him and getting more picks to fill more spots. Parrish Prolofic return guy not much of a reciever the question with him is he worth 4 mil a year just to return punts. I cannot answer that. Im not opposed to trading him nor am i opposed to keeping him. Either way we would have a solid player or player Schoebel is on the down slide and making too much money we could easily upgrade here. MCgee is a proflic retruner and an average at best cornerback. How many return men do we need. I would rather have a true shutdown corner or a corner that can make big plays he is most certainly gone next year so we should get value for him now! Edwards Yet to prove he can stay healthy, play in cold weather, play in winter conditions, has also shown he cannot shake things mentally. After throwing three ints in one qtr he was a mess and never got better from that point. He can be upgraded and if hes not I am willing to give him the yer since he has noone that can take the job form him over the course of the year unfotunatley. Again like i have said with all our past qbs since Kelly I would like him to prove me wrong so i Know we have a Qb. But like some on this board I would rather have cutler than edwards. At least cutler can throw TDS. NOw for the rest of the list there is no way i would get rid of Lynch the guy is a truck give him holes and youl see not only that hes a bruiser which is a great combo for Jackson a finesse runner. would never break up that tandem. Poz is good maybe not the best fit at ML but it was his first full year at ML hes an OLB by nature. Whitner isnt as bad as everyone makes him out to be either. so out of the 8 players i have it like this 3-Definate keepers 3- have potential trade value we can cashin on now 1- is detrimental to our team and needs to be traded NOW! 1- is nothing but an average Qb who cannot stay healty and has alot to prove this year or hes out the door with DJ. -
The only eason crowell would win out those other two is the fact he has played strong but if i were to choose between those three it would be Keiaho hes a beast and a great tackler!!!

DL is not going to be our first pick in the Draft
Poeticlaw replied to Poeticlaw's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Its ok to disagree with the person I jsut threw him out there as a guy I could see them draft. WHo ever the best one available is with our second round pick I see them drafting DL.
