  1. The same reason the Patriots play the Colts/Steelers soo much equaivalent standings.
  2. Promo for the most part I typically like what you have to say on most subjects. I can agree to an extent of displeasure arising from any game being played in Toronto. However, you must admit after the Miami debacle last season it should have been stated point blank by the Bills organization that NO DIVISIONAL GAMES should be played in Toronto. It might be classified as a home game but its TWO AWAY GAMES in the division where we have no advantage. I do agree on the rest of your premise Peole would be Pissed if we were playing the Colts in Toronto in January which would have given Manning more of a homefield then us. But keep the divisional games out of Toronto. ON another unrelated note. WHY the hell are we playing two divisional games as night games are we not good enough to play any other team primetime????
  3. 1 Sep 14 BUF @ NE L 0-1 2 Sep 20 TB @ BUF W 1-1 3 Sep 27 NO @ BUF L 1-2 4 Oct 04 BUF @ MIA L 1-3 5 Oct 11 CLE @ BUF W 2-3 6 Oct 18 BUF @ NYJ W 3-3 7 Oct 25 BUF @ CAR L 3-4 8 Nov 01 HOU @ BUF L 3-5 9 Bye 10 Nov 15 BUF @ TEN L 3-6 11 Nov 22 BUF @ JAC W 4-6 12 Nov 29 MIA @ BUF W 5-6 13 Dec 03 NYJ @ BUF W 6-6 14 Dec 13 BUF @ KC W 7-6 15 Dec 20 NE @ BUF L 7-7 16 Dec 27 BUF @ ATL L 7-8 17 Jan 03 IND @ BUF L 7-9 I see it as typical Dick fashion a 1-3 start with a 4 win stretch to end in a 3 game losing streak and the end of th DJ trent edwards experiment!
  4. Screws me out of a game No NFLN and I get all the jets/patriot games aired so I am losing out on two additional games this season since monday/thursday night games should have been against non divisonal opponents. and i am sick of this toronto thing already another friggin divisional game in Toronto i am losin my cool with this whole experiment.
  5. After seeing the schedule I am pissed. NO WAY SHOULD A DIVISON GAME BE PLAYED IN TORONTO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! why not a NFC game one that doesnt hurt if we are in a playoff hunt since Toronto is more of an away game then a home game
  6. After seeing the schedule i see 7-9 at best
  7. so you want to use it on another TE pick by the organization that will be off the team in two years producing nothing instead of having a proven commodity for the next two years that can actually produce????
  8. He want let go he was a free agent and the Panthers have an abundance of OL and there starters are already in place. They knew he could be a starter on a team and gave him the chance to pursue the starting Job if noone gave him the opprotunity the would have resigned him. There was a link to this but im sure you could look it up. Either way hes is an upgrade over preston and fowler!
  9. I have to disagree with you. The blue print is by the NE patriots who have let go of every good player they had and replaced them with quality players. The only pay players such as TOM BRADY which they know is their franchise player. Unlike some on this board I dont feel Jason Peters is a franchise player and I also dont think he deserves franchise money. NOw if he played out his renegotiated contract with class and proved he was a franchise player then he would be worth the franchise money.
  10. Personally I do not think Highly of Trent and strongly believed we should have been looking for his replacemnt once he faltered this season. But now we have fitzpatrick who is a back up making more money then our starter. Im just pointing out a trend which actually started with Kelsay getting more money then schoebel then schoebel balks and gets more money though he shouldnt have gotten it either, Jason peters balked and got redone then they bring in walker/dockery which are higher paid then him and makes him balk some more. I understand the reasons why jackson wants a new contract and I agree he deserves more than his tender but if not for the Bills he would be making ZERO. Show some respect to the team that has given you a chance which includes the UNDRAFTED TE JASON PETERS!!!! Despite how we feel about Trent he would have the right to balk at his salary for a STARTING QB in this leaugue he in the bottom 50 with his backup making more than him. Just saying.
  11. I can see a trend building here. You cant let players dictitate when you give them a raise becuase you cant reduce it when they arent playing up to the standard. But after Peters and Jackson gets theirs whats to stop Trent from saying hey I am the starting QB and the back up is making a million more than me to hold a clip board He didnt complain becuase JP was the starter before him but now JP isnt there why should someone behind him make more money? Whats to stop him from saying If you dont pay me I will sit out. Then who comes after Trent in this non stop redo my contract I am no longer making what I am worth crap!! Playout the exsiting contracts!!!
  12. I would disagree and agree with you at the same time. The only hit to our schedule last year that we did not see coming was the Jets getting Farve and inturn Miami getting Chad now if The jets kept chad and did the revolving QB then we could have easily split those two games or even 3/4 it would not have put us in the playoffs but it would have given us a winning receord.
  13. Drfishfinder and I are having a little debate back and forth on whether or not the OL improved in its passblocking. Drfishfinder believes because we had 8 less sacks in the second half that the OL His quote"Buffalo's OL did a better job of picking up the pass rush in the 2nd half of the season. Opposing teams knew that Buffalo had virtually no offensive answer for strong pass rushing and especially blitzes. Everyone could see the OL was struggling early in the season and teams just pinned their ears back and came for blood. Sack tally was 23 at mid season. First 4 games of the season: 11 sacks. First 4 games of 2nd half of season: 5 sacks. Edwards threw a bunch of interceptions that had nothing to do with pressure. Pressure wasn't even at the stadium." I stated that sacks were not a clear indicator of an improved OL but the run did imporve in the second half My qoute:"Sacks are not black and white on pressure. Ints come into play as well as the difference in yards. I alwasy have time for stats. P-att p-yds sacks int r- atts r-yards Games 1-8 244 1845 23 6 207 750 Games 9-16 235 1224 15 9 230 1092 We had 9 less pass atempts in the second half for 621 less yards 8 less sacks 3 more ints- so thats 7.56 yds per attempt in first half to 5.21 yards per attempt in the second half thats the pressure we did not do better at while Rushing had 23 more attempts for 342 more yards or 3.62 yds per carry in first half and 4.75 yards per carry in the second half the IMPROVED running I was talking about. So again I think you are mistaken we took a 2.35 yard per attempt loss compared to the first half while rushing gained 1.13 yds per attempt compared to the first half. Would you agree with me now? He doesnt seem to be disagreeing about the OL improving in the runblocking. So the question is do you think the OL improved in protecting the QB in the second half of the season?
  14. So you are using sacks as a tell all to our OLs ability to stop the pressure. No the fact that we threw the ball 9 less times and 600+ yards less than the first half. Our per pass yardage declined by 2+ yards and that to you is an indication that the line did a much better job of protecting the QB? Are you serious did you watch any of the games in the second half? They couldnt stop the pressure. The completion % also went form 68% in the first half to 60% in the second half. How many of those are dropped passes or throw the ball away to avoid the sack. Also your description of Edwards is way off base he is like better than JP becuase of his ability to avoid sacks. By tossing the ball away or to the checkdown guy who is sometimes parrallel to him. There were alot of games the pressure was soo much that he only threw to the checkdown guy. Is that part of the offense I wouldnt disagree with you but for you to state that SACKS are BLACK AND WHITE in determining the OL was better at protecting the QB is slightly skewed. You have the right to your opinion, but let me ask this if the OL improved so much in the second half explain why they cut dockery and did not resign fowler or preston? yes they tried for preston but he certainly was not going to be a starter on our team which is most like the reason he went to GB. You need to rewatch the second half because I saw alot of pressure on the Qbs in the second half and no adjustments on our behalf to slow it down. Also its a chat room not english class. I do not care how my typing, spelling or grammar is. Im just trying to get my thoughts down whcih is much quicker than my fingers can type it since I am not much of a typist.
  15. Vick would not be in Buffalo and Vick is not a pssing QB the thing that made him great to other people is his 1000 yards rushing almost every season. To me hes never been a good QB a good RB form the QB slot but other than that nah I sdone see him playing in the NFL anymore!
  16. Sacks are not black and white on pressure. 17. Hes not a priority right now. He was tendered the offer to keep him here they have to figure out what they are doing with Peters/LG/TE/ and the draft picks before his contract should be looked at. This team is running out of money fast and barely signed anyone. His deal will get done sometime before the season starts.
  18. No time for spell checker. I think you got it backwards the Running game improved in the second half of the season not the pass blocking.
  19. Dick will never see the light. What the marketing Dept saw was a chance to sell tickets, and to use DJ as the person who wanted him so bring his approval rating up a little bit witht he fans who soo much wanted him fired after blowing a 5-1 start and going 0-6 in the division. TO does bring what the offense needs but its only a bandaid and not a longterm fix. The major problem we have going into this offseson is the OL/TE situtaion: LT= Peters hold out possible trade if hes gone who is the replacement LG= NOONE Dockery was cut Bell/Chambers might fill in HUH????? C= Hangaretner anyones an upgrade over the previous two but no back up C either RG= Butler Alot of people want him upgraded RT- Langston Walker the only sure starter going into next season TE= No starter on our roster at the moment. So here we are two years after we signed dockery and walker to sure up our OL that we are in a potentially worse situation then we were then with our OL so that makes me wonder how long will trent stay healthy after being knocked on his back so much and how often are they going to be willing to throw it when they show they cannot blcok the pass rush. This is not specualtion either they couldnt stop the pass rush last season either.
  20. I had to reread that if we had the #1 overall Pick not our first round Pick. I would trade down for more picks!! Im too cheap to pay for the number one overall money to a player. Sorry
  21. are you kidding me with your delusions???? Leadership of Trent Edwards... how about the Return by Jackson, The Receiving by Jackson and The run By Jackson IN THE 4TH QTR and lets also talk anout the Buffalo Defense keeping the staginant offense in the game by giveing them good field position. The leadership of Trent almost lost the game in the 4th because he could not genreate a first down and gave denver anothe chance to tie up the game which the nearly did if our defense wasnt playing so well and if the receiver who have held onto the ball on the same play two time in a row!!! I know your a Bills fan and w support our player but really lets not be so biased to the facts the we overlook the reality of the game.
  22. Look Trent did not beat Cutler in that game the Bills escaped with a win in that game Denver had over 500 yards and 2 attempts in the final minutes of the 4th qtr to tie the game if the reciever was able to hold on to the ball we would be talking about another Bills loss and a 6-10 season. The player of that game was not Trent Edwards it was Fred Jackson in the 4th qtr!!!!! I think Trent should get one more year to prove hes a starter but I would have taken Cutler over Edwards in a heart beat!!!
  23. The patriots let people walk knowing they had a replacement in place. Denver is going to be a bottom feeder for years to come. They have made all the wrong moves!!!!
  24. last time you said by the end of the week is this one by the end of the decade or the end of his career?
  25. I have seen nothing on him ever being injured or injured frequently waht are you basing this on?
