  1. "Tickets for the U.S. shows are already more than 95 percent sold out, according to Virgin Records." Yeah, that Mick, he's quite the dummy....
  2. Bills deny Simon rumors <Aug. 6> Bills GM Tom Donahoe denied earlier reports that Buffalo is interested in Simon, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Simon, who was designated as the team's franchise player, is looking for a long-term deal and has refused to sign the one-year qualifying offer that comes with the designation. He is currently holding out from training camp.
  3. You could have picked up Puccillo and thown him in the backfield....
  4. Simon is a jump the gap guy (i.e., a guesser) rather than a space clogger a'la SA. I don't see him as Adams eventual replacement--two different kinds of players. I don't like DT's that try to guess on gaps. They'll look great when they guess right but put themselves out of the play when they're wrong. Fat Pat would do a lot of this when he got tired (see the Pittsburgh game), opening big holes to run through. Give me two DTs to protect LF and force everything to the outside...I like that scheme a lot better.
  5. We don't need or want 2 pass rushing DTs. We need a space cloggers to stop the run and will get pass rush support from DE, LB and DBs...
  6. Full Name: Corey Jermaine Simon Born: March 2, 1977 Boynton Beach, FL Height: 6-2 Weight: 293 lbs. Age: 28 Pos: DT Experience: 6 years College: Florida State Drafted: Year: 2000 Round:1 Pick:6 2005 Scouting Report - Scouts Inc. Grade: 77 | Key Alert: None Comment: He is a much better athlete in space than you might imagine, and has good change of direction and movement in a short area. Simon keeps moving, has active feet, and is not easy to keep blocked. He has excellent overall instincts and seems to have a great feel for blocking schemes and angles, and he does an excellent job of locating the ball. Although his durability has been good over the years, Simon's body type indicates that he could be susceptible to a lot of pulls and nagging injuries. Durability certainly isn't a big question mark yet, but remains a long term concern. As thick as he is, he is almost an undersized guy for an inside player, which forces him to be more of a move and penetrating DT.
  7. I agree. Now if that kind of deal could snag a quality LOT I'd do it in a heartbeat. Gandy may be a serviceable guy, but he's nothing more than a stop gap solution (and would make a great depth guy who can play multiple OL positions).
  8. (yep, that salary cap's going to shrink next year!)
  9. It's his new "frends of the night people" look....
  10. Cause those old unis were ugly as sin (especially the all-blue road ones). I'd like to see a switch back to blue and gold, but not to the original design...
  11. Who the hell knows. He could have a 100+ QB rating and the Bills could still lose (or win) more games due to some other facet of the team breaking down. These "predict the record" threads are silly mental masterbation, especially after one scrimage where JP threw only 11 times....
  12. "Even newcomers Liam Ezekial (four tackles), Daryl Towns (two) and Wendell Hunter (two) were impressive. " Lame 'em's looking good!
  13. Terrible is Aaron Roger (1-7, three sacks). JP looked fine for a guy with 5 NFL snaps under his belt...
  14. I had seasons tix for 16 years and got to see Sanders play twice at Rich / RWS. IMO, he was the best RB to ever play there, bar none. That he played on a crappy team with a clown for a head coach (Wayne Fontes) is the crime of the century...
  15. Never fear, the D will help JP out: The Bills’ Sam Adams, who is listed at 335 but makes 345-pound Grady Jackson look like a baby brother, overpowered guard Atlas Herrion and center Mike Flanagan. Tim Anderson, a second-year defensive tackle, also ran over the top of Flanagan and put Herrion on the ground. Ron Edwards, who weighs 320 and also starts inside for the Bills, made guard Aaron Klemm look bad twice. He beat him inside, then outside. Herrion and Klemm worked with the first unit. “Thumbs up for Sam,” said Larry Beightol, the Packers’ offensive line coach. “Not so good for us.”
  16. The indoor corner sections (M&T Club, Choice One Club) cut down on the noise as well. Another factor is that many seasons ticket holders are older (less drunk!) than they used to be as well...
  17. Thanks for the report. It's amazing how the GB practice facility and Lambeau are on a residential street with cars and people going by only a few feet away. I drove by the practice field a few years back during training camp and all the players were right there running around right next door to these modest little ranch houses and stuff...I got a real charge out of it.
  18. This story has as much credibility as all the TH to Philly ones did before...in other words, bupkis. "Eagles president Joe Banner said he has not heard from the Bills, but he indicated he might be willing to listen if and when they do call. " Philly's trying like crazy to dump Simon's salary and are floating stories like this to try and generate something. Its the same thing they did with Westbrook when they were trying to resign him. As Labatt said, this kind of money would be better spent on NC than a DT already starting to go down hill a bit.
