  1. He's playing too deep because he can't run with the TE's and end's up in no-man's land too often. I don't see LM running around like a chicken with his head cut off like that...he recoginizes the play and reacts twice as fast as CW. Wire's mental game is what's held him back (although he's supposedly an intelligent guy). He's just not cut out to be a DB, IMO.
  2. If JP doesn't bobble the snap on the two and they score a TD, I wonder how people would be looking at the world this morning...
  3. How many of those tackles were 10 yards down field?? By the time he recognizes the draw, the RB's 5 yards past the LOS. How many times will a WR with a short dump be running down field and CW will still have his back to the play struggling to cover a secondary receiver? The boy has no instincts for the SS position. To throw him a bone, he did make a lot of ST tackles in the first half, however.
  4. He just seems like a one-trick pony who has a hard time picking up blitzes/scraping/chipping doing any type of movement things.
  5. Bennie can't move well. He's a lunger/mauler who falls off his blocks too easily and gets caught up in the trash.
  6. I'd be surprised if MM goes that route, but you may be right since JP does need the work. Game 4 is usually for the bubble guys to make their case...
  7. Peters is too weak in the run game yet. I Vote: LT Gandy LG Preston C Teague RG Villy RT Big Mike
  8. Have to agree on the patience (or lack thereof) part. He's not trusting his teammates or the playcall enough. He needs to watch how the old vets Holcomb and Matthews keep their cool under fire. I did like the few down-the-seam throws he made at the end of the half, however. MM and TC are obviously looking at not giving Houston much film on the downfield passing game this preseason. The routes tonight looked like they were drawn up on an etch-a-sketch on the sidelines. They may also have been testing Gandy and Anderson with how they handle obvious 8-man fronts. You're right, it would have been cake to use some TE patterns to back off the safeties and open up the run game, but they didn't seem that interested in going for the win.
  9. Better team, tougher to get on the field, I guess (for the D guys, anyway!)
  10. Didn't see much from Gause, but Ritzmann looked good on the few plays I watched him. I can't see Wilson making it, since Aiken at least plays well on ST. I'm holding out hope for a late waiver pickup for WR #5, though.
  11. Both guys had very good games, IMO. Denny looked like Mark Pike on ST in the time he played.
  12. Greg Jerman can’t play… Fast Freddie’s 15 minutes have expired…. Jason Peters is still struggling in run blocking…. Sam Aiken is a mystery…the guy never seems to get downfield… Dorenbos has nothing to worry about…. Sadly, my boy Liam looks like a goner…sniff! The TE has been missing in action so far in the passing game…makes me think Campbell might be a big target in the Houston gameplan… Duke Preston is going to be our starting left guard within the next month….
  13. Uh...you think they might not want to show the whole passing offense to Houston??? Tonight's pass package is the most vanilla you'll ever see.
  14. Next week the starters don't get a whiff of the field...this is their final tuneup.
  15. Let's see...5 OL vs 8 D = ???? You're on a roll tonight....
  16. Perhaps the Bills don't want to show SOMETHING to Houston!
  17. Sort of like 98% of all preseason games ever played.
