  1. Maybe Mike Martz will sign Dorenbos to beef up his special teams play!
  2. He chose poorly! Does that make Ritzmann a monster pass rusher?
  3. Man, half of those were unabated runs at the QB--on two successive plays, no less--when the OT missed his assignment!
  4. IMO, the fastest way is to come up Clark Street in the Village of Hamburg and turn left on South Abbott and head north toward the stadium. You'll miss the bulk of the traffic that comes Lemming-like from North-to-South on Rt. 219. We used this "back door" when we had seasons tix and never had a problem with traffic. http://mq-mapgend.websys.aol.com/?e=9&GetM...2a%3agz7n%26%40
  5. http://www.nfl.com/stats/leaders/NFL/PRAT/2005/pre Real impressive list...I'm sure that's how the in-season stats are going to look as well
  6. Hey, I'd love to see them give France a shot... http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showt...&hl=Todd+France
  7. There's a huge reason to make up schitt...you've got to keep JP's chin up and not mess with his confidence going into the opener. What if MM had said that he sucked in the DET game...I'm sure that would have helped Losman's confidence a lot!
  8. I believe they only get paid for the 16 game season..no playoff money.
  9. How about waiting until Thursday (defensive game plan day) before you pull the ripcord.
  10. Totally agree. The party line seems to be that WM can carry the team while JP learns. No RB can carry a team with continual 8-man fronts, especially with this O-line. We'll end up with a lot of 3rd-and-4 situations that JP will have to...repeat, have to...convert to keep the D off the field. Willis needs JP to be "competent" maybe more than we realize...
  11. Nuts. You know, I wouldn't mind taking a flyer and signing him to the active roster in place of Sape. IMO, he's the same type of player Jason Peters was...a little lazy, a little immature but he could develop into a good player with the right direction under Krumrie.
  12. The Raiders cut Hawthorne, the DL who was a potential 1st round pick but smoked a little weed before the combine and fell all the way to the 6th round. He's a former Wisconsin Badger and with Krumrie (another former Badger) around to kick him in the a$$, he might be worth a shot as a developmental project on the PS. Anybody seen if he's been signed by another team? http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/...yers/60674.html http://www.raiders.com/team/teamRosterDetails.jsp?id=18413
  13. Great post...you nailed GW's fundamental flaw during his Bills tenure. And forgive me if I doubt his game day decision making has gotten much better.
  14. You left out the 10-year high in season ticket sales....
  15. Hey, let's not let facts get in the way of a good opinion! An 0.800 batting average on 2nd rounders (0.700% for those RD bashers ) is probably about average...maybe even a little above the norm. But hey, its much more fun to beat on TD and TM, so who's counting...
  16. I agree with you that spreading the field will fit better with McGahee's cut-back style and take some pressure off the O-line. At the same time, it puts more pressure on JP to prove he's a credible passing threat and keep the D honest. In other words, sort of opposite of what we heard in the offseason about having him just be efficient and not carrying the team. The "experiement" of having JP run pure drop back sets did seem to fail miserably in the Detroit game. He was really locking in on his receivers when he took more than a 3-step drop and the DBs were reading his eyes pretty effectively. He's more comfortable on the move, but again, that's going to put more pressure on him to be on the same page as the WRs. If they're going with a more pass-oriented base set, its either a sign they're confident JP can make it work--or an admission the power running game just doesn't have a chance with this O-line. Hope it's the former!
  17. The 5th+ WR has to be able to play on ST. If Haddad wasn't going to be the punt return guy, he didn't have a shot. Aiken is a good ST guy, and George Wilson look's like he can play there as well, so they make sense. But I can't see why Fast Freddie made it, since I doubt he'll be returning punts either.
  18. I seems to have come down to blocking, which wasn't Haddad's stong suit. We also have too many good punt return men on the roster, which didn't help his cause either.
  19. Why be fair? That "arrogant" stuff is from almost a year ago. We've seen JP for quite some time now... and is there anybody that think's he arrogant? Didn't think so. I agree with a previous poster...time for Zimmerman to find a good retirement home.
  20. I agree! http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showt...&hl=Todd+France
  21. Fast Freddie will be gone the second one of the PUP guys is ready.
  22. Craphonso Thorpe - WR (4th round pick released by the Chiefs) http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/...yers/56689.html
  23. I've got to agree, it's pretty peculiar. They didn't show anything in the games. Maybe they'll develop mysterious injuries this week and go on IR, allowing one of the late cuts to sneak back on the roster.
