As we learned with DB, the QB can make an O-line look a lot worse than it is. Having a QB with the ability to step up and move around in the pocket is a huge advantage for the line. The Texans' message board is going ballistic about their poor O-Line play, but I thought Carr was to blame for a lot of it. The guy looks like a younger version of Bledsoe...big wind up, pat pat pat, no poclet presence, etc.

Given Sam's gratitude to MM for giving him another shot, I'd think this is the last job he'll ever have (or want) in the NFL...hope it lasts a good, long while.

Bennie Anderson killed another drive by getting a false start on a third-and-2 at the 19. I think Teague also had a red zone false start on another drive. Need to eliminate those mistakes.

That's how most good teams do it. There are very few great O-lines that can do it all by themselves. JPs pocket presence is very good for a young QB (maybe all that Tulane experience helped). On the other hand, Carr looked like a younger version of DB back there.

Well, that was certainly impressive for essentially a rookie debut. JP looked more comfortable today than I've ever seen him. A big dose of the credit has to go to Wyche who seems to have done the perfect job of getting JP ready for this game. Take a bow, Sam.

All this talk about JP's unpopularity make me think of the old campfire story analogy--the same damn "arrogant" comments from the 2004 draft keeps getting passed around from reporter to reporter to TV host etc., and none of these guys have ever come to training camp, talked to any Bills players, or done a shread of background work to see if it's true. Thank God we'll have real football games to talk about after Sunday.

I doubt the radio gig pays as well as CBS does. Hard to think ST would take a big paycut to come home, unless was out of work and needed the $.
