If this melt down is all because of one player, then you're seeing something I'm not. Two sub-par games in a row from the DE's, not much run support from the SS, and questionable blitzing schemes by the DC have been big problems...

That's why all these "our line sucks" posts make no sense. This was another D loss, plain and simple...

Those blitzs were good D calls. seven man sell outs on the basis that JP won't be able to get the ball off quickly enough (just like last week).

Second game in a row our vaunted '85 Bears D gave up too much ground (400 yards of offense). I guess that's TD's fault. Yep, Fat Pat should've been franchised, no question about it...

I can't say LOL (because it's tragic for everyone involved), but at the same time, you have to wonder what kind of bad ju ju Haslett's team is under.

Nope. Same rationale as to why LF didn't return. You mess with an ankle on a big guy like MW in the second game of the year and you're setting up a problem that might last all season. In LF's case, a hammy "tweak" could become a hammy rip. Why take the chance in an intra-division road game in mid-September.

How about the rest of his statement: "You guys have overrated Willis since Day 1, he doesn't have the burst he once had (apparantly), and likely never will. You keep making excuses for him, claiming he has no holes" Willis has been patient, but more along the lines of stringing the play out then hitting the cutback against the gain. Haven't seen as much of that yet, but obviously 40+ carries is way to low to form a judgement on.
