  1. My vote goes here... And to think, it's all for a good cause!
  2. 30-60 minute drive, depending on when you leave (early tailgating vs. 2-hours before game time).
  3. LOT has not been the problem over the past two games.
  4. Just to level-set comparisons: http://www.packers.com/team/stats/yearly_archive/1992.pdf On the other hand, Farve had 3,227 yards passing in just 13 starts after replacing Don Majkowski in 1992....anyone think JP's going to get close to that?
  5. JP would still have to be able to see them, however. Right now, it seems like he's looking more at the pass rush than down field.
  6. That's the biggest problem I had with the D game plan as well. Why do I have the feeling that if it was New England, BB would've played the old 2-7-2 flood the passing/running lane defense and confuse the hell out of Mr. Mexico. After the fifth up-the-middle blizt that didn't work, I started to wonder what Grey was thinking. After the tenth, I think I had an idea...and it wasn't good.
  7. JD put a hex on the team...he made the defense disappear!
  8. Well, I guess Agent 99 will never get her man. RIP, Don.
  9. Palmer's first three starts: Game 1....18/27 for 248 yards___2 TD___1 int___105.2 QB rating___31-24 Loss to NYJ Game 2....21/38 for 147 yards___0 TD___1 int___53.3 QB rating___16-13 Win over MIA Game 3....25/52 for 316 yards___0 TD___3 int___43.4 QB rating___23-9 Loss to BALT Looks pretty similar to JP to me, especially the 1-2 record and QB ratings in games 2 and 3.
  10. Do you remember if Favre was running a conservative offensive game plan in his first four starts, or was he his old riverboat gambler high-risk persona from the start?
  11. I think we need more haiku around here. (Losman doesn't suck...yet)
  12. They also have the best player (not necessarily best QB) in the NFL at the moment. Maybe that helps overcome a few liabilities. Haven't seen too many "Hey, Ron Mexico" jabs the past day or so. Huh.
  13. Jerry's a New England guy (Rhode Island, I believe). He must have the world's biggest "Boston Globe" envy crisis ever observed...
  14. That quote's referring to the late hits they put on him...the two personal fouls. Not smack talk. Sheesh....
  15. That's how I see it too. He's not seeing the field well enough yet and it's causing him to think too much / react too late. Hopefully the game will begin to slow down for him soon. The biggest concern I have, though, is that JPs sort of an emotional/hyper guy. He might have problems relaxing and continue to be his own worst enemy.
  16. Not according to the Madden 2006 croud! Atlanta's a lot better than I thought (must be the exorcism of Peerless) and seem better than last year's NFC Championship runner-up team. Tampa with a running game is going to be the surprise team of 2005. Is that an excuse? No. But the majority of the posts I've read from "doomers" since the game ended is that we played a couple of JV teams the past two weeks.
  17. Cincy, since you've seen Carson Palmer's development up close, how would you relate his experiences over the first 8 games last year with the way he finished up and has continued in 2005 vis-a-vis JP? Are there any lessons, similarities, differences (hope!) we can take from that, or are we just whistling in the wind here?
  18. Can someone explain to me how someone who joined TSW in 2003 can have 4 (count 'em - 4) posts over that period yet show up here after a loss with THE ANSWERS??? Every $#@_*!% thread I've read the past 18 hours seems to be by the same type of poster. SDS, any ideas?
  19. He might have to move inside to a MLB-type role, where his strength would still be an asset, maybe like a Jeremiah Trotter or Urlacher-type LB rather than a fireplug like LF.
  20. This just in: the Facons are a pretty good team that went to the NFC championship game last year. The majority of the posters here tonight seem to be lumping them in with the chump change of the NFL for some reason.
