  1. Ask him why he let EM take himself out of the game. How the hell can he not know why Eric didn't want to be on the field...
  2. Very unprofessional, but in the heat of the moment, not hard to believe. Nate's got four games left as a Bill it seems...
  3. Totally agree. The silver lining is that there is NO question about TDs future now.
  4. WTF does that mean. MM, I've lost my respect for you....time to go
  5. It wil be especially sad if he's a Fin next year....
  6. Come on. Thats was just a rookie mistake by Preston.
  7. I wouldn't call it incompetence. More like panic over having a $$$$ backup sitting the bench and trying anything possible to find a way to get him on the field. He's certainly a better player than Benny Anderson but it also looks like MW wants nothing to do with playing LG.
  8. Yep. The dirt Gaughn was dishing today could only come from well-placed folks outside the TD sphere of influence, like Brandon and the finance guys back in Detroit. IMO, they're just messengers for RW's "off the record" rant, and it reminds me of the Jeff Litman saga back when Polian was in his final days here. I think there may have been other "un-named team sources" rumblings before Butler left as well... I also think the timing of the story is interesting: on the day of a road game, when TD is out of town and we're playing our biggest rival. Humm...
  9. My take on the MG story is that Modrak would be more of a Butler-type "personnel only" GM and Russ Brandon would fuction more in the Team President role on the contract/administrative side. Whether this would be enough power for Modrak would be an interesting question.
  10. Sorry, Joe. I seem to have repeated your thread with my own. SDS could perhaps consolidate things....
  11. Slipped confidence, for sure. IMO, he doesn't want to play LG and is calling in "sick" to avoid playing there.
  12. Tick, tick, tick... Well, unless they go 5-0 the rest of the way, it looks like TD will be shown the door after this season. Too many "Detroit specific" references to believe this story didn't originate with and/or be blessed by Ralph. The "beat reporter" skid greasing story is a RW staple when front office changes are in the works. The question now becomes: can Modrak build a better team? I have my doubts, but it looks like the TD-haters will get what they want...
  13. Price had a degenerative knee condition, I believe, that forced him to retire...
  14. Now you're just flat out starting to reach...better to have stopped while you still had some credibility.
  15. Gee, I hope your sarcasm button was on, Glenn. Peters (and his fans) are butt of a lot of humor around here, but the guy's done some impressive things for the brief time he's been a Bill. A competent RT making the league minimum is an attractive commodity. I'd rather not play Chicken with another team on whether he'd sign an offer sheet somewhere else.
  16. Thanks for the heads up. I found this, which I guess applies to Peters: Exclusive-Rights Free Agents (ERFA) - Players with two or fewer years of experience who have no outside negotiating power. Their rights belong to their previous club provided they are made a minimum qualifying offer.
  17. 19 players who are in the last year of their contract Given that he's probably making bupkis, it behooves TD to sign him to a longer-term contract for sensible $$ now, rather than letting him hit the FA market after the season is up.... "Restricted free agents are players who have completed three accrued seasons of service and whose contracts have expired. They have received qualifying offers from their old clubs and are free to negotiate with any club until April 15, at which time their rights revert to their original club. If a player accepts an offer from a new club, the old club will have the right to match the offer and retain the player. If the old club elects not to match the offer, it may receive draft-choice compensation depending on the level of the qualifying offer made to the player. "
  18. On the other hand, it is pretty reflective of the 'GR look and feel....
  19. Whoa...what happened to all the good looking babes whose pics were posted here a few weeks ago?
  20. You want the guy with the most God given talent and best hands on the team mucking away in the corner? I guess the Great One should have been a third line checking center, too!
  21. Seems to me Eric's life would be a lot easier if LE and the slot receivers were getting open more often...Moulds still appears to be the first option on most passing plays.
  22. Doesn't the fact RW didn't say one positive thing about his GM suggest he's a bit pissed at his front office? Pretty glaring omission...
