  1. Gee, I totally disagree with your premise that MM dropped the ball by benching JP. All along, I thought this was a gutsy move by a coach willing to say the grand off season plan wasn't working and the other 50 guys on the roster deserved a chance to win now. In other words, a very "player's coach" type of move. Up to now, I think MM has been a very good "player's coach" and we saw the fruits of it last year when he didn't give up on his team and allowed them to gel during the winning streak (albeit against weak competition). Now, however, the vets seem to be losing confidence in the game planning and play calling aspects of what MM is trying to do. It's almost the same attitude they had about JP. The vets want to win now, and they don't see MM putting them in the best position to do so. Unfortunately, there's no backup HC on an NFL roster, so we're in a bit of trouble....
  2. Wait a minute, this is a sarcasm-only thread...please take legitimate blame-allocation posts to the other 998 threads now on TSW.
  3. I blame Schobel as well. If he hadn't intercepted that pass, Miami would have marched down the field and scored much sooner, leaving time on the clock for JP to pull out a come-from-behind win....
  4. Talked about this today with a guy at work. Miami was run blitzing like crazy, but the Bills never ran any quick slants or TE plays into the seams the blitzers were vacating. Strange, strange play calling....I wonder what input Wyche has from the pressbox, where he can see defensive formations better?
  5. oh sh--, I think I just pissed myself....
  6. So after his first season you were looking pretty bad, huh?
  7. Tough questions, though. I loved the guy from Denmark who said the season was over...
  8. AJ would never work for Ralph. He burned all his bridges here on the way out...
  9. I'd be very interested in this as well. Terry was the only OL guy of any note picked between Roscoe & Kevin Everett in rounds 2 and 3. The Bills passed on him, most likely because they thought he was a little too angular for a LT. It'll be interesting to see if they missed another Steinbach opportunity....
  10. He's probably good around the hole, too....
  11. Whoop-di-do. You don't win or lose with off-the-field comments. The media are a fly on the ass of every team, nothing more. That's on the coaching staff, not WM. He made a teriffic catch earlier in the game and Murph & AVP (correctly) remarked that the Bills should run more of those type of plays to Willis. Just another case of the over-coaching by MM and TC.
  12. Thanks for joing my ignore list...it's getting pretty crouded, but I think there's still some room toward the back.
  13. I doubt he'll be asked to participate. When TD worked for ESPN before, his star was still shining and everyone knew he only lost his Pittsburgh job due to a power struggle with the Chin. Can't say the same this time....
  14. Joe, I think you ought to take a break for the evening The sun will come out tomorrow morning. Get a good night's sleep and we'll see what the fallout is on Monday... Good night everyone.
  15. So are you saying Babineaux or Tuck would've been a better pick...they were the only two DL picked between Roscoe and Kevin Everett?
  16. It was a genius move last year when we were winning...
  17. Who from the OL guys picked in round 2-3 would have helped us this year? Adam Terry? Evan Mathis? Duke Preston, who most of us have high hopes for, is struggling just as much as anyone right now. Any of the other 2nd round OL types would probably be faring about the same. 18. Didn't it take three years for Johnson to even get into the regular rotation in KC. I seem to recall his HC making fun of him in the press his first two years...
  19. Well, McGee and Greer would start with King at nickle. I'd keep LM one more year (just because I don't want to see CW on the field other than on ST) and let Vincent go. So we'd need to pick up a starting FS via free agency and a dime back via the draft. That doesn't seem that difficult....
  20. Actually, now that the season is truly lost, I'd expect Sully to switch his tone and be all wistful and stake out the "voce of reason" position. His work is done on TD....now he can start to build up the next likely candidates for the job.
  21. RW hired one person--TD--who was the hottest GM candidate at the time he joined the Bills. All other hires are on TD and the coaching staff. Sort of like marrying a really hot wife and finding out she comes from a family of imbeciles, unfortunately...
  22. Good point, but that sends a big negative vibe through the team, IMO. Like him or not, EM has always been a pretty stand up guy on the field for the Bills. I'm not saying the team owes him anything, but a move like that causes the players to wonder WTF is going on and can be a distraction when it didn't have to be one...
  23. It looks like the vets are revolting... (dual meaning intended!!)
  24. Nope. Sam's not the HC answer. Maybe as an in-the-booth OC, however...
  25. Sorry, I don't know how long you've been following the Bills, but that's not how Ralph thinks. TD is toast and if they really stink up the place in the next few games, it will be announced before the season is over....
