  1. That point has been addressed by a number of posts in this thread. Its amazing why some people can't grasp the concept and only want to draw attention to themselves....
  2. It's not alien to me. But if some drunken fan takes exception and a fight breaks out, you can be the one to call The Barnes Firm for all the injured bystanders...
  3. MM and GW's before the Bills....
  4. Thanks for stopping bye...
  5. Sure. Sam's lifetime HC coaching record: 1984-91 Bengals (61-57) .517 1992-95 Bucs (23-41) .359 TOTAL (84-128) .396 (then again, statistics are for losers....)
  6. I may be wrong, but I believe the facility that GEICO is using in Amherst is actually leased from the ECIDA. Does that mean you can go inside and start doing/saying anything you want? Why don't you try and let us know how things turn out...
  7. Fuuny, but it seems like the Gints running game sure has improved over the past two years. I sure hope not. For some reason CV is the teflon O-lineman with this team...when he's not banged up, he just plain underperforms. I like Peters, too. But at this stage of his development, he's not a very effective run blocker. He's got great feet but not enough push... Duke's your starter in 2006. Bad signing, but the cubbord was bare on inexpensive FA OG's this year. I think Gandy's the starting LOG in 2006.
  8. "Things haven't looked this bleak in more than 20 years." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Agree with everything but the last sentence. This is the new NFL, where a teams' fortune (except for Detroit and Arizona) can turn on a dime if management is smart and the owner is willing to spend (as I believe RW is). Look at some of the last few SB teams that have gone up in flames: XXXVII (2003): Oakland XXXVI (2002): St. Louis XXXV (2001): Baltimore XXXIV (2000): Tennessee Or teams that have made a big move since 2003: Pittsburgh (6-10 in 2003 vs. 9-5 in 2005) NY Giants (4-12 in 2003 vs. 10-4 in 2005) Jacksonville (5-11 in 2003 vs. 10-4 in 2005) San Diego (4-12 in 2003 vs. 9-5 in 2005) Chicago (7-9 in 2003 vs. 10-4 in 2005) If we get a competent GM, a few good FAs, draft well and have a bit of luck (JP turns out to be more Carson Palmer and less Kyle Boller), the Bills can be right back in the thick of things in a hurry.
  9. You're wrong. The lease with the county gives the Bills EXCLUSIVE right to set policy as they see fit (as per the NFL norm for teams with municipally-owned stadiums). The county "owns" a lot of facilities used for business (via leases with the ECIDA). That doesn't mean they're public properties, however.
  10. Yeah sure. So if some assclown with a sign gets into a fight in the stands and an innocent bystander happens to get injured, that's OK because they had a "right?" to do what they wanted....
  11. It's that old MM trickery...teams have caught on to Jason Peters' do-it-all abilities, so now Josh Reed is our big secret weapon. I can't believe he was going to pass on that reverse last night
  12. You can't yell fire in a theater either. The ticket you buy only gives you the right to enter someone's place of business. It does not give you carte blanche to ignore the owners' rules.
  13. Nah, I don't see him as a BB kind of guy. My guess is he'd go to an NFC team where his physical slant route skills would really be a good match.
  14. All the units have to work together to be effective. Take away the threat of a passing game (like JP in most of his early games) and the D will negate any running ability a team has. An average o-line will look pretty good if a QB can read d-schemes and release the ball quickly (like Manning and Brady can do) and keep the defense from stacking 8-men in the box. The whole thing revolves around minimizing mistakes and making the defense guess what the O is doing...neither of which the Bills do well.
  15. Didn't our DB coach come from the Pats? Must be the water around here....
  16. You mean as McNabb's favorite WR....
  17. Bupkis. The team has consistantly signed high profile FAs under TD, probably to a fault (TV, SA and CV come to mind). You cite some of these guys in your post, but at the time they signed, they were highly sought after. The Bills spend 95% of the salary cap each year, unlike the Cards or Bengals. You can question the player personnel decisions, but not the spending commitment.
  18. Not so amazing. 75% of the tickets were sold before opening day, when everyone (including TSW and the local media) was excited about the team's chances.
  19. Those were TD signings (Anderson was a draft choice, BTW, so that's on Modrak and the scouting staff). Guy's job is to look for second tier FA or practice squad players like Tucker who can actually play....
  20. Don't count on it. The NHL games will probably score higher ratings.
  21. Now I truly have heard everything....
  22. The funny part is the tens of thousands of indignant "fans" who've never spent a dime on a ticket or merchandise, yet feel like the team's success is their divine right....
  23. Bills fans are like battered wives...if the new management make a few good moves, the fans will shell out the $$$.
  24. the correct answer is D...none of the above. Say what you want about TD, but John Guy knows talent when he sees it. If Tucker's not here, its for a reason.
